So true! They tour around America and bring thousands of fans out to drag strips especially ones that are shutting down due to low income. It's a shame they ended it.
o wow, my home state. ol Martin 131 Speedway, i grew up just 20 miles south of martin. i was in attendance back when Jungle Jim came through in 1973. the Nicest & coolest driver in the pits that day was Jungle & pam, and all us kids got lots of goodies from them. i miss JJ.
Do I have to explain this to everyone? That rule was made to stop cars who are clearly faster than the other cars. If you have a 12 second car but the guy next to you has a 10.80 car that's detuned, and he retuned it to run 10.80's, you're gonna lose if he doesn't jump. How fair is that to you?
@@HemiSlant6828 no we get it. He is making a joke on how you can say the mustang had to slow down, while running "all out" they kicked out people who weren't sandbagging. 2 tenths?? That is the difference of .1 in your 60ft time. Power and grip track Temps change, these aren't all bracket cars
FoRd Vs ChEvY!!!1!1 FoRd Vs ChEvY!!1!1 I had to mute it by the end. Good racing, aside from the handling of the finals. Love the show, not the commentary.
So, when they choose the fields, they have the cars put in a certain time group. They use what's basically an index for those cars to see who has a car that's faster than the category they're racing in. You may or may not think it's fair, but when a car sandbags in qualifying and then goes all out in eliminations, they have the clear advantage of being faster than pretty much every other cars.
The reason that rule is in place is to eliminate cars who may have tuned their cars to run slower than they're capable of going to try and get into a slower time group. Dumbasses have tried this in Bristol and Tuscon. Let's put it this way, you have a car that runs 11.60's all out in the 1/4 mile, and next to you is a car that qualified for the field, but it's a 9.70 car detuned. How fair is that to you?
There are tons of idiots who watch this show, I swear. The main rule of the show is to run all out. If you have cars that are detuning to try and get into a slower class, they're gonna retune their cars to run faster again and they're gonna have the clear advantage in eliminations. It's not a fair way to win, and if you disagree, you may as well stop watching the show and get back to watching Street Outlaws.
Spot on. 500 cubic inch cars only running mid 10.s give me a break. And letting people run nitrous. Change the jet for eliminations. So maney ways to cheat. You would have to write a rule RULE book to make it fair.
This show could single handedly bring drag racing back. Amazing concept that interests the locals at these tracks.

I feel bad for people who never got to experience going to a pinks all out event. I was there and never seen us131 more packed
Gotta give props to the guy banging gears in the Blue Mustang 😅

@@davepalmer9265 thank you...the final pissed me off, beat him by a pube hair but goes to fast...wtf

There is no big block Pontiac, there is only Pontiacs
My grand prix pace car at 10:52
That last ford won all three times, my opinion, what's to fast on the last race

too fast? dumb rule.

The best hustler wins. That is racing. Dont like it? Call it pinks the bracket racers. Snooze

that ford won hands down.
First race no timing the nova won

He didn't win. Anyone else would have been DQ'ed
