In the show "Evil Con Carne" he had a terrible experience working for Hector Con Carne for over ten years. Ten years of working for an abusive evil and stupid jerck. Later, (in the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy) he said that he had realised that his true passion wasnt to slave humanity, but to take care of his garden. And in the Underfist movie, he didnt want to work for another Villain like Héctor. Not because he regreted his actions, but simply because he was tired of the shitty job of being a minion. He has an evil personality, but he had enough development to actually find a new goal in his life: His garden. So he (partially) turned good... Or at least, not so evil.

I was thinking I was the only one who caught that. Billy & Mandy referenced Dune quite a lot (even having that whole episode that parodies God Emperor), something I really respect the show for.
I've always loved that Skarr isn't terrible or miserable in mundane rural American life. If he was, it'd make him sympathetic. But no, the fact that he's perfectly capable of being a normal person and can find joy in it makes his decision to cave into his facist tendencies all the funnier. He's not insane, he's just a dick. I've always loved that Skarr isn't terrible or miserable in mundane rural American life. If he was, it'd make him sympathetic.
But no, the fact that he's perfectly capable of being a normal person and can find joy in it makes his decision to cave into his facist tendencies all the funnier. He's not insane, he's just a dick. And that makes his slapstick all the sweeter.
