If you print your film and digital images rather than scan, my findings are that it`s best to, as you say overexpose your negatives colour and black and white, and make sure your digital images are spot on or very slight overexposure ,as the image won`t have back light from the computer screen punching through the image when printed on to paper. Rant over

This is just my opinion, but you should learn how to develop your film and make a print. These are essential skills for the art of film photography. If you are not good at these aspects of film photography, then this is where you need to spend your time and effort.

Love it! We have been toying with the idea of learning that process. And I do agree that everyone should learn the entire process!

@@kevikronicles I am happy you took this in the spirit in which it is intended. We live in a world where a hybrid workflow is possible and that can be very appealing, but it seems some 2/3rds of the experience is lost with film photography when developing the film and making a print are outsourced and digitized. However, I acknowledge this is a real issue without access to a darkroom. I for my side have issues with digital photography in that I do not enjoy sitting in front of a computer working in Lightroom. I suppose that is something I need to work through. If you decide to pursue film developing and printing I am sure you would find a community here to help and/or learn along with you. All the best.
