James Mitchell was a 5th round pick. As I recall, one analyst or another said he would have been a 3rd round pick if he hadn't been injured. I didn't watch any film, but I remember it was said Mitchell was used on trick plays at VT. Ris, you've said repeatedly that he is really slow. Something isn't matching, so I am assuming the injury he had at Virginia Tech stole whatever speed he had.
The last time I saw Zylstra I was excited to see him develop. He was really coming on before he was injured and I feel he could really help us @ the WR position or with RAC yds from the TE spot. Better than an avg. receiver.
Wright is a go choice! That #3 ???? I agree with you Jeff his the best of the rest Hesse !!!Big Z doesn’t block as well and we have other receivers if that’s all you want!
All I know is rewatching Sam LaPorta this off-season was even more encouraging... The guy is "outstanding" at blocking already in the NFL. He was charged with the task of blocking some badass dudes and most of the time (Crosby got him hehe) - he gave way more than he took! The dude is all dawg... And then rewatching him After Catch - he might be the "best in the entire damn league" at after the catch people... I'm bias as hell but damn that dude can take a hit - stay on his feet and get another 15+ yards "often"... His hands are incredible - contested catches seem personal to him - the dude is wired hotter than he lets off in interviews - he's got a fricken DEMON in him friends... Sam LaPorta is Joker LaPorta - in his first fricken year - Campbell / Johnson had him as the proverbial Joker in the Sean Payton mold. This year Joker Gibbs is coming... Check out the Joker role by researching Sean Payton. That's two Jokers on the field at once! Defenses "good luck" this year guessing what is coming your way play after play...
LaPorta has a very similar build to an old school FB named John Alstott. I would ❤ if Sam could better emulate his running style. He was a BEAST! RUclips his highlights and see if you don’t agree.

Do you think James Mitchell would get picked up off the practice squad or would he be safe?
James Mitchell blocks. I think he's a lock to make the roster.
How is you father doing, looking forward to this.
