Wi-Fi 7. Primary router connected to 1.5Gb internet, 10Gb between router and two boosters, 10Gb Ethernet to three of my computers, 2.5Gb to two more. One WiFi 7 equipped laptop, can get the full 1.5Gb of my internet speed over WiFi.
I just upgraded to WiFi6. I might upgrade to WiFi7 once prices go down a littlebit. None of my terminals is WiFI7 yet, only hope is that comminication between the central AP and the mesh extender would be able to use 6 GHz (I cannot connect them using wired Ethernet). I live in an apartment, so both 2.4 and 5 GHz are quite crowded, maybe part of the backbone communication going up to 6 GHz band would benefit the overall network speed on WiFi.
@@techindex1 Usually (they keep it as a secret) providers sell to customers unpopular network equipment that local stores couldn't sell. So I know exactly my provider doesn't have WIFI6 router, that is my problem 😅 A few days ago I found distributor, that can ship me Mikrotik WIFI7 router. One problem solved, I'm happy 😄
looking at mine for wifi 6 the wifi frequencies do not all support all so look under the entry for 6GHz not the ones for 2.4GHz and 5GHz if the one for 6GHz doesn't exist yeah you probably got scammed into buying something that is not what it says it is
Which generation of Wi-Fi do you use at home?
whatever 802.11ax is

Look forward to the video on WiFi 6 Vs WiFi 6e. As it's often a more cost effective option compared to WiFi 7
Yep it certainly is, should be up in the not too distant future 😊
I use Pfsense router with a Ubiquiti WiFi 6E AP connected to a Cisco 2960 with PoE.
Not bad!

Do I need Wifi 7 devices in oder to take advantage of a Wifi 7 router?
Yes 😊
I’m still on 802.11ac (WIFI5), but most of my devices support WIFI6. It’s almost impossible to find a good WIFI6 router in my area
Interesting, WiFi 6 routers are pretty much standard in most places these days, might be worth asking your provider for a new one?
