This is top of the odds and polls, and i understand why. Its a melfest sounding song with a powerfull vocalist. I think ur point about being generic is fair, DMGP is very generic, but this song is generic with a higher production level and alot more powerfull than earlier entries denmark has had. And when i look at eurovision and see almost every country trying to be different and quirky this year, really going all out on being special, then they become less special and quirky because they then all fit into the “quirky” genre, and thats where i think a classic pop banger like this might take the cake! And if it qualifys, then it could be hit with the Jurys! Since they love this type of music! Lovely reaction! Like from here ❤️
Eyy, that is a lot of fear points, you might really stand out with this, and the jury will eat it.. Hmm, interesting! Thanks for sharing your thoughts🙏🏼❤️
@renebojer5181 Let's look at the last 5 years shall we? Denmark 2019: 12th place 2020: No contest 2021: Failed to qualify 2022: Failed to qualify 2023. Failed to qualify And your national finals have been horrible. HORRIBLE! Norway 2019: 6th place 2020: No contest 2021: 18th place 2022: 10th place 2023: 5th place
Music taste is different from person to person, and you have your opinion. But this is beautiful lyrics, amazing voice and high quality produced. Yes, it’s not something new in the world of pop-Music. But that your only comment is ‘generic’ shows more about you than SABA and the songwriters. Which pop-song is not generic? Most of the songs from norsk mgp and melodifestivalen are generic and written after the same model. I’m glad you sang along.. maybe it’s catchy ;)
Sad lyrics with upbeat music… I think this is what makes this song stand out, but I get your point when you say it’s generic since there’s nothing groundbreaking in this song but it’s still a good song
I tend to agree the competition is varied and strong but disagree that Sand is just another generic song... and that having generic traits is such a bad thing. Familiar and generic traits can also strengthen the replay factor and the possibility of a broad appeal, which we see with Sweden year after year, and they can get away with it because we are told to listen to them again and again, simply because of their Eurovision status and history. Saba is a strong live vocalist (I've personally seen her), and the instrumentals stand out in overall quality and some unique sound designs like in the bridge. I don't know if Saba should win in Denmark. It definitely is not a groundbreaking year for us. But you all are too harsh on this entry. It should stand the replay test and be held to the same standards as some of the "generic" entries from the larger competitors. I haven't listened to Norway's entries yet this year. Best of luck, cousins. x
It’s Nice of you to defend it, we appreciate that. You have a solid point with Sweeden, so I see where you Are coming from. Who do you think should win in Denmark this year? Well, Would be cool if you Would share your thoughts on the Norwegian song with us☺️🤓 Good luck to you too🇩🇰😘
@@esc.norway Thanks😘 It probably comes down to Saba, Aura Dione and Basim. The ladies have the most versatile and strong live vocals, so either of them. Although staging in the live show may change everything. Gåte - Ulveham, you guys like to surprise! It looks like it will be an experience to witness. x
Agreed.. Sweden keeps getting good ratings with just that. So why shouldn't we be able to, too? 😁😉 To be honest I would have liked more songs to chose from, and I don't think I would chose these songs, if I had a choice closer to my taste in music. So it's not that I LOVE the danish songs.. But honestly! People fall backwards over Sweden every year, but they are not original in any way either! Honestly last year!! Finland was the most original ever! But Sweden still won with another love song, with the only word being heard was tattoo.. Also quite generic. At the LEAST compared to so many other songs that were so much more interesting and more creative!
Denmark should send Saba for Eurovision Song Contest this year
Denmark won Eurovision song song contest 3 times in 1963,2000,2013 with Emmelie de Forest and her song only teardrops

@@esc.norway of course!
Norway MGP was sooooo dissapointing this year
No, we have a fantastic final. Denmark have not been able to say that in...probably 15 years.
Really? How so?
@@atlesandhals1890That’s not true though haha
@@atlesandhals1890umm, we won in 2013… last time Norway won was in 2009, so the part about 15 years fits your country’s statistics better

100% Agree with you here. Music is subjective, and this might slay in Eurovision! Time will tell :D And it´s true, I sang along :')
Sounds familiar... Some fragments resemble of Ochman's River.

That is a great combination, I do agree with you there. All the best for the national selections!

SAND it’s a generic pop , it’s a typical synth pop song.
