Thank you very much. I followed your advice, prepped the mirror with duct tape, loosened the clips and it came right off, just like you demonstrated. A 10 minute job, by myself. Thanks for your empowering knowledge. 😃
Great demo. I installed my mirrors 35 years ago when I built my house, but I had forgotten how the clips worked. I need to remove my mirrors and now I can.
Redoing a bathroom little by little and wanted to remove the builder grade mirror, thanks so much for the easy tutorial. Got it removed so quickly and easily!!
Want to thank you for this…this is why I love the internet…I was wondering if I was going to find instructions on how to do this. And your video was the first one I found. Thank you again for instructing me on how to do this.
Exactly what I needed. I need to move my mirror up a few inches so I can make room for my DIY mirror frame. The mirror was installed extremely close to the faucet. Thanks for the demo😉.
I'm remodeling my bathroom on my own with little experience. This is exactly what I needed. I was able to do this within minutes all by myself. Thank you!
Thank God you did this! I did my YT search and expected nothing since it’s an old bathroom and I figured a really obscure search. But there you are! Thanks again. 😀
Thanks for this video. I have the same clips on a couple of the bathroom mirrors that I have to remove to do some painting and didn't know how the clips were attached.
Thank you! You are a lifesaver. I am doing some DIY upgrades to my guest bath and I really felt stuck with the builder grade mirrors until now...the possibilities are endless. I will be subscribing!
Thanks for the great video! There’s a space between the mirror and the wall created by the brackets. Wouldn’t that cause the mirror to break with an accidental pressure?
So I have a manufactured home that has different mounting brackets then those and I am trying to frame it. So I’m trying to figure out if I can remove them in hopes that the mirror is glued also. Any suggestions?
Hello, thanks for posting this video. I have a big mirror I am trying to take out that has brackets like the one in your video. Brackets popped up easily enough, but the mirror seems to also be glued to the wall. It is roughly five feet long. Do you have any tips how to best get this size of mirror off the wall? Thanks
I would guess the mirror would be glued on in that case and that would make it harder to remove. There are a few videos on YT showing how to remove glued on mirrors. Best of luck!
Hi your video was really helpful. I was able to lift the brackets but am finding that there is some adhesive that is holding the mirror in place . It seems to be in the center of the back of the mirror. I'm having a lot of trouble getting the mirror loose do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for this video! We have a mirror with clips but it also appears to be adhered in two places. The areas appear to be circular. My husband thinks there are metal spacers back there. Also, our clips will move up when we apply pressure/force but pop back in place after we remove the putty knife. Any suggestions?
I have an oval mirror in my powder room. It had four plastic tabs that I unscrewed and took off. Now I cannot get the mirror to budge. It seems like there is something metallic in the middle behind the mirror holding it in place. I've tried lifting it. I've tried prying it. I'm about ready to take a hammer to it unless you have a helpful suggestion. Thanks.
I would have used a piece of plywood on the putty knife instead of this hammer. it would be flush to the glass and not risking shattering it. Remember even if the glass is not showing cracks it might have small micro cracks that you can't see. Overall, great work!
Thank you! My daughter doesn’t want me to removed the bathroom mirror before I paint her bathroom. I’m hoping if I can tell her how it’s done she will.
Thank you so much a friend of mine said I just break the mirror and take the oh my gosh can you imagine anyway it's huge it's like 5 feet long and 4 feet wide so I'll need some people not just to expose anyway thank you so much
Yeah, you should be able to go to the millwork section of your local home improvement store and find trim you like. You might need to shim the trim out a bit to space out away from the wall and clear the mirror and clips
Thank you very much. I followed your advice, prepped the mirror with duct tape, loosened the clips and it came right off, just like you demonstrated. A 10 minute job, by myself. Thanks for your empowering knowledge. 😃
This saved me from being very, very stupid and unsafe. Thank you!!
That's exactly what I needed to find out. Thank you for a greatl demonstration. Short and to the point.

This is very helpful, thanks! Would this look different if I only have bottom mounting clips on my mirror?
I would guess the mirror would be glued on in that case and that would make it harder to remove. There are a few videos on YT showing how to remove glued on mirrors. Best of luck!

You're welcome!
What id u have studs holding the mirror, or like screws
Any suggestions on an over 5 ft x 4 ft mirror just like this with clips???
2 person job for sure. Hopefully they also didn't use glue in addition to the clips. Best of luck!
Awesome thanks

Best of luck with the removal 👍
Thanks!!!
I have a mirror that spans double sink. Can’t slide sideways. Do I cut it, how?
Thanks for the info
Any time Dawayne 👍
hi i just saw you removed your bathroom mirror. can i put a frame around it without removing it?
Yeah, you should be able to go to the millwork section of your local home improvement store and find trim you like. You might need to shim the trim out a bit to space out away from the wall and clear the mirror and clips
My mirror has clips that are screwed in to wall. If I unscrew them will the mirror just fall off?
Could but if there is double tape or adhesive it will not just fall off.
I actually am looking for those brackets...where can I get.. please reply
The brackets would be like these amzn.to/3zqfDXz but you should also find these or similar at the big home improvement stores in your area.
That's so kind of you.. Thank you
I have a mirror that is in tracks and inset into the wall. What is the best way to remove this?
