I have read all of your feedback and I have created another video that has actual sound comparisons. You can see it at this link --> ruclips.net/video/_AyOEFaIw_s/видео.html
Thanks for the feedback. There is no doubt the noise level comparison by hearing them. I have had a few comments on asking what it sounds like in person vs just seeing measurements. I will make a video about that and have it posted in a couple of weeks.
I have recently uploaded the video that also shows sound comparisons. Thank you for your feedback. You can check out the video here --> ruclips.net/video/_AyOEFaIw_s/видео.html
Your videos convinced me to get a Honda. We have been through 5 predators in 3 years. They’re junk. Took one back yesterday because it died while under warranty. The replacement ran 8 hours then quit. Didn’t even put much of a load. So got another replacement. Our Honda will be here next week. Can’t wait
Sorry that you have to go through all of that. I am excited for you in the new purchase. Make sure you pay close attention to the oil instructions and read the manual. Email me to let me know how you like the new purchase.
you been through five generators? I think problem is user. Did you change oil often and after first hour. Did you make sure enough oil made not run low and wont start. Clean fuel with seafoam? No way you needed five
Really good question. To be really honest, I wanted to point out directly that this is an inverter. Not necessarily a generator. Even though it is still in the generator family, what helps it is the inverter side. So, yes it is in fact a generator but the inverter is what supplies the power unlike the typical brush and stator designs.
Hi and thanks for your two informative videos. I bought one today and should receive it in about ten days. I was going to buy the wheel assembly but it's expensive so will buy castors and make a sturdy trolley myself so I can wheel it out of my shed as required. I want it for back up power to my house in the event of cyclones as I live in Darwin which is the capital city of the Northern Territory of Australia where our 'wet' season and cyclones can occur between November and May. I've upgraded from a Yamaha 2400 to the Honda as this will run my large side by side fridge/freezer, separate freezer, LED lights, ceiling fans, and when its really humid, 1hp bedroom air conditioner. Hope you've had fun with the large family and your RV in this very different kind of year!!
I would love to see how it works out for you when you get yours. We have loved ours so far. As for the wheels, we ordered this kit and works great, even through grass, rocky areas and such. The link is here --- amzn.to/2UOa3LD
We have to honestly say that we are so happy that we stumbled upon your channel. 😃We have been looking at finding an adequate and quiet generator! It's really nice that you're broke down the comparison between both of these generators to give us a better idea of what we can expect. We are still skeptical about actually buying a generator because of the concern for theft, but I am sure this will be a video we refer back to once we follow through with the purchase. My wife and I are full-time RV travel nurses. We also recently just started an RV channel!! You have our support in your adventures we will be following you and your journeys to come #Subscribed - Kyle and Renee
I went over and checked out your channel and love how the both of you present all the ENERGY. I am looking for a way to bolt ours down so that it cant be stolen. Or hire a really big dog...LOL
@@HowToRV yes! Totally agree, keep us updated with how things go with the securing of your generator. We will be following you guys and catching up on your content! Thank you so much for all of the support, we will see you on the next one 😊 - Kyle and Renee
Anyone know how fast these things run at? RPM's. I'm wanting to run two 1140 watt battery chargers. I can run one or both. With one running it sounds like just past idle, maybe 1200 rpm's, With both chargers , not much different. It seems too slow.
I do not know the exact RPM. I would have to guess that the 1140 watts is the max that the charges can perform and not what it runs at a constant. as for running 2 of them, I would think that this generator is more than capable.
So much magic in the first 15 seconds. Ah Yes, excellent music choice, Tigerblood Jewel. I need to put our generator through some of these tests. We got a "open frame quiet generator."
I see that you recognized the Tigerblood Jewel music...He/She is such an amazing artist and love their music. I am glad to have @epidemicsound as a way to get these amazing tracks. I still need to do the runtime video but trying to figure out how to put together a video with hours and hours of the generator running and me doing nothing...LOL
I had thought about that but the plywood is not a permanent solution and a fire hazard. I was looking to compare OEM build to OEM build. Thanks for the thought.
Loving Life Hitched Up I am totally there with you. We got this one so that we can use it for other purposes but I agree, Honda is worth the expense. How long do you go from tank to tank when running AC in your TT
Loving Life Hitched Up that’s awesome. I want to run a trial next week to see how long it will run. I have to figure a neat way to make a video out of it though.
IYO! How are you, my friend! Looks like we are looking at 2 different generators! Honda = Quieter. I wanted to thank you for being our channel's 20th best commenter!
This isn't a very useful video because you didn't even show the generators running. And the data you gave would have been much easier to understand if you simply put a chart on the screen. People aren't very good at turning a decibels rating into how loud something is, in real life. Way too much style, not enough substance. Don't overthink a comparison like this. Whip out the old camcorder and record both generators running for a bit. Stand next to them and talk, so we can hear if it drowns your voice out, etc. Now that I've watched your video, I have learned nothing. I'm not here to be rude, just giving honest feedback.
hxhdfj ifzir st c thanks for the feedback. I get the point your trying to make. This was a second part video from the unboxing where I did the actual noise and talking part. Also I thought that the chart showing what sounds you here on a normal day to day comparison would register with people better. I don’t get a whole lot of constructive criticism so thanks for that. Take a look at the unboxing video and let me know what you think of that one.

Great video. Very quiet generator! Thanks.
1StrangeAdventure thanks. It’s hard to describe the difference but in person.m, it’s crazy quiet in comparison.

I was absolutely amazed at how different the noise level is between the 2

that was a great review thanks for sharing this was great lots of info thanks 👍
sandra Pink Video's thanks for the reply. Do you think it was good enough to convince folks about what kind of generator to buy?
@@HowToRV yes very convincing specialty the sound charts you have shown in the video was nice and clear to see how powerful thay can get 👍
Now put some plywood around the open Generator and measure again .

Wow I couldn’t hear either generator over his mouth 😂. Good information but actually hearing the difference is what I’m interested in 🤷♂️
Did you look at the description and pinned comment?

your also comparing a 5000 watt generator versus a 3000 watt generator. the size of wattage also determines the noise level...
That could be true but I think that the Honda would wi either way. Your thoughts?
@@HowToRV honda would deffinately be quieter
