It's funny that the Geelong tunnel looks like it just barely allows the Vlocity train to fit in there. Kinda reminds me of the London Underground and the tube trains that goes in it.
Let me give you a fact about the Vlocity’s VL00-VL79 are known as the Mk I Vlocities VL80-to VL114 are known as the Mk II vlocitys, running on both broad and standard gauge
Awesome footage, keep up the terrific work! Until now I don’t think I’ve ever seen a full compilation of trains at Geelong station. I was actually gonna request a compilation of trains at Geelong until then I saw this 👍🎩
Thanks Trainco16! I actually did find it odd that there weren't too many long videos of trains at this station bar maybe one or two. It's such a busy station that isn't too far out of Melbourne so I'd thought more transit enthusiasts would have paid a visit.
@@ThebusofdoomFSX is it possible if I could please request a compilation or some footage of trains at Bendigo, South Geelong, Seymour, Castlemaine or the new Flinders extension in South Australia? Cheers 👍
I recall V/Line actually did consider the idea during the 1980's when they were converting the Harris suburban cars into the H Sets. The idea was to use a 3 car set with a P Class locomotive and operate a push-pull style train with a converted Harris cab car on the other end, but this idea fell through due to safety and crash concerns. There's no point in having cab cars these days as the future is all Vlocity.
Ahh yes Geelong station, quite a handy spot to live near if you want to get to Melbourne easily. They didn’t get mad at you for hanging around filming? I’ve been kicked out before!
Lucky for you I actually do have a Ballarat video which I'll upload next month. In the meantime you can watch my video from there which I recorded in 2017: ruclips.net/video/PE54s-r6Lb4/видео.html
Absolutely marvellous and stunning indeed!!
I once sat next to the swan hill line for 12 hours to get vids of loco hauled trains. Definetley recommend

I’ve actually never used the v line before.
V/Line need Cab Coaches like most American Push-Pull Trains.

Nah I had no problems at all. V/Line's generally pretty good with photographers and their website clearly says you're allowed to.
@@ThebusofdoomFSX hmf well must’ve had bad staff when I went there
Why do you have wait until 7 o’clock
He decided to because it's a premiere so everyone's channels can do that
