The game now runs WORSE than backwards compatibility PS4 Pro mode. Destiny 2 runs at 4K/60fps with huge open world battles. How the heck can’t FFXIV achieve that.
Yup, it’s kind of wild. 1440p mode looks no different and runs worse. All they did was add fast load times and higher res icons. 4k mode is beautiful but definitely isn’t running at 40fps. This update is a placebo. Very disappointed
My disappointment is so fucking immeasurable lol. I was really looking forward to this. This game is really well optimized on PC, which has billions of configurations, but for some reason they can't optimize it for a couple of console systems. The PS5 is like 5x more powerful than my PC (gtx 970) , but It feels like it runs the game about the same or worse...
@@GodSkul Previously running on PS4 Pro backwards compatibility mode, the framerate as VERY solid 60fps. Now, even in HD mode, there are frame drops in the cities! Hope this is some kind of Beta bug. Again, these drops, were NOT present in back compat mode.

@@xxorcaxx they have not. I play in 1440p mode and it runs great most of the time.
