New for Land Rover Defender: more powerful diesel engine and more luxury
Land Rover has prepared a series of novelties for its Defender off-road model. The new updated version now gets a more powerful diesel engine as well as more luxury features than before.The British manufacturer of SUVs and off-road vehicles has launched an updated version of the Defender. The main novelties bring a more powerful diesel engine , more customization options, especially for the passenger compartment, but also some new luxury features.
Thus, the new updated Land Rover Defender receives a 3.0-liter mild-hybrid diesel engine with 6 cylinders in line that develops 350 horsepower and 700 Nm. That means an increase of 50 horsepower and 50 Nm compared to the old diesel engine found in the D300 version.With the launch of the updated version, the range was simplified, with 5 trim lines available: S, X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, X and V8. Of course, the new model is still available in body variants 90, 110 and 130. For the exterior, Land Rover has not made any changes.
However, there is now a new limited edition, the Defender 110 Sedona Edition, painted in Sedona Red with exclusive hood graphics, black accents and 22-inch gloss black wheels.This edition will be available for one year.
Most of the news is inside, where the all-terrain model is equipped with the Signature Interior Pack. This package brings climate-controlled seats for the front and rear, as well as new headrests. The front seats are electrically adjustable in 14 directions and with memory function. In the Defender 130, the third row of seats is heated.The interior is upholstered in Windsor leather in combination with Kvadrat and Alcantara. Here too we have darker accents as well as new storage spaces in the center console area.
Land Rover also offers the Captain Chairs Pack, which brings 7 seats instead of 8. The second row seats are separated and heated and ventilated.The new updated Land Rover Defender is already available in some European markets and the UK.
