    This was so helpful, I suck at sit spins and now I can hold one and come up for a decent amount of time.

    Very helpful, I had that issue of going to low and catching my blade on the ice, so good to know that it doesn’t need to be so low or be considered a sit spin :)

    • @SparkleSkater
      @SparkleSkater  2 года назад +2

      Yes! I’ve seen so many people go too low on their sit spins which causes them to fall all the time. You only need to go to around a 90 degree angle for a sit spin!

    I’ve been trying to do a sit spin for a while now
    I’m going to try these tips out next time I got for a public skate❤

    I learned to inline skate by myself and now I can’t wait to start FS’ lessons next fall (btw I’m quite grown up…I’m 27 ahahah)

      Inline and figure skating are really similar! Once you get used to the feeling everything should come pretty easily! Good luck with skating!

    Thank you so much!! That video helped me a lot. I haven't been able to sit spin for a very, very long time, especially because of the too low position from which I fell. Thanks to this video, I do this spin in the right position and all the necessary four turns now . You can see my sit spin on my Shorts , but the out from position is not good at this video. Thank you very much!!!❤

    I enjoy your videos. My problem with the sit spin is that my knee is not strong enough to push me up after the knee bend part, any tips? Thank you so much!!

      Squats I find helped me soooo much in being able to hold these things, I did squats for a while, plus jumping squats, then practicing just holding a one legged squat is helpful too, especially often practicing an shooting duck on ice

    hi.i have a question about combo spins.can i do upright first, and after that sit? or must i start with sit?

  • @sianchild
    @sianchild 2 года назад +3

    Thanks for this. My shoot the ducks are awful, so even when my upright spins are a bit better I don't think I'll get a good sit.

    • @SparkleSkater
      @SparkleSkater  2 года назад +3

      It might take some time but you will definitely get it if you keep working! Sometimes sit spins are easier than shoot the ducks, so if you work hard you can still have a great sit spin!

    I can’t do the backward sit spin because I loose balance and I feel like I am spinning on my toe pick backwards. What is your advice
