Hi Nigel I love viewing your videos of Lake Erie, Port Colborne and the surrounding areas. I used to live during the summer(s) near Port Colborne in Silver Bay. It is lovely & nostalgic seeing the Port Colborne bridges😊 again. I believe the BLUE STAR restaurant in Welland is still open & providing fabulous home cooked meals. The chocolate cream pies, homemade, are the best in the world. It would be amazing if you would do a video of a visit to the Blue Star restaurant. You will definitely enjoy the home cooking! I now live in London UK, & miss the good times all summer long on Lake Erie & Silver Bay. Thanks for the videos, Cheers Pam
@@NigelHay Nigel, What good news! I look forward to your video on The Blue Star Restaurant. You will so enjoy their home cooked food, & I am sure their chocolate cream pie (well that is my favorite!), but they do many pie varieties. Bye for now, Pam
The rattling sound you heard as we departed is the electric bow thruster. We were bound for Hamilton with a load of furnace coke for Dofasco in Hamilton. It sounded like you said “McNiel” Marine, there is no “N”. It’s McKeil Marine.

Thank u very much Nigel, today I found out that ships do not enter Lake Ontario and then to Montreal through Niagara Falls😅😂🤣
I lived in buffalo and had to travel to my cottage, beck then you can stand next to a ship and actually touch the ship going thru the canal ,,!
