‘‘Tales from Dark Town’’ | 4 SCARY STORIES FROM THE CITY

- Опубликовано: 22 сен 2024
- Welcome to Dark Town, population 'unknown' but decreasing with every passing story. Tonight we take our first journey together in this ostensibly normal, everyday American Midwest city. The trouble is, Dark Town has seen more than its fair share of mystery, intrigue... and murder!
So, this is basically my idea for making an anthology video feel like each story is part of a 'bigger picture.' I kind of like the way it's turned out and would like to revisit Dark Town sometime soon, so please let me know if you think that's a good idea or not.
Well then, on to tonight's stories...

#4 The birthday girl really knows how to throw a party!
oooo... a new one on the playlist. As a parasomnia stricken sleeper sometimes I'm completely auditorily aware all night while knocked out and have the strangest lucid dreams incorporating whatever I hear into my dreams be it the television or whatever I'm listening to. Including you a couple of times. I always have these nice dark folklore type dreams.... very cool and fun dreams. So thanx for being so entertaining either awake or asleep.
I wasn't aware of your condition... glad to be of some help through the nighttime hours.
Another wonderful set of stories, Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Dr. Creepen. You have such an appealing voice! I look forward to hearing your stories every single time! As you narrate so well! Thank you so much for your creepy stories, their worth every minute of it!
I gasped as i saw the "1minute ago" next to the video. Your voice makes work go so much better, yet the first story is going to make the drive... well...
Sorry about that first one, I'm sure you're not the only one checking the backseat tonight!
Stuck in traffic, thanks to you it's not a problem
This is precisely why I keep telling stories; I know it helps people pass the time in crappy situations!
Me and my girlfriend listen to every new pasta at bedtime, and fill in the nights with old ones. Running out tho! Good thing you have plenty of collabs with other channels, becuase many other readers voices aren't conducive to sleeping
I had to darn some clothes and put this on while I was doing it,,,sure passed the time because I really enjoyed them! Thanks Dr!! Just what I needed!! You always have New and different content!! Good Job!! I just don't think there are a lot of narrators that really care if we like it or not.. Your self and a few others do, and that seems to be it!! Thanks again!!
Of course you should you are hands down the best narrator out there, i truly injoy your readings, you put me right in the story, keep up the great job bro
Your kind words are much appreciated :-)
I love this compilation. I love Dr. Creepen for keeping us safe in dark town. He's just the best with those story introductions.
Ahhh... my Friday night bedtime stories from my favourite narrator! Thanks Doc! :) Love this format.
I think it turned out pretty well; I'll definitely try this again for future anthologies.
It turned out great and then again with that incredible voice; spine tingling ....Mwah..Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)
Love the format, I truly believed they all took place in one town, since the stories carried into each other well! I wouldn't mind visiting Dark Town again.
I'll make sure to do this again!
yeah, I'm so happy! Had such a crazy day today... Now I can go ahead and relax😍👌
So glad to help you relax, Jessica.
#2 A coma is the worst prison, YES, I personally know!
Awwe bless you! My brother was in one for 15days after I found him dead in bed, untreated infection sepsis caused heart attack and then lack of oxygen has cause hypoctic brain truma. He doesn't remember being in the coma. His memory is pretty bad tbh speach to can't walk or use his arms etc but he's alive and now home for the last 6mths after a 18th and 7dif hospitals later. So I'm happy I took that 6hr first aiders course or he probably wouldn't be. He finds things to smile about every day so we all do aswell. Anyway, sorry for babbling blessed be
🌛🌚🌜
Morrigan ravenmist how cool you were able to put that first aid course to work.. and on you bro non the less.. and to literally save his life! Well done, the seat of honor in heaven is yours for a night ;)👍✌️
Do you remember actually being in the coma? You've already given a big hint about your experience in a coma, but..
- How did it feel, sound, taste, smell compared to normal waking consciousness?
- Was the whole experience, or part of it, dreamlike?
- Did you see any colors or a black void?
- Were you consciously awake part time and sleeping other times, like normal sleep schedule?
- Could you astral travel?
- Could you hear people in your room talk to you and each other? Or maybe other disembodied voices from???
- Could you feel pain?
- Basically how "awake" were you while in coma and what senses worked, and to what degree?
And... how would you rate your coma? Not the medical conditions accompanying the coma, just the coma. Was it a good or bad experience? If you could do it at will, without medical issues, just like closing your eyes... is it something you would enjoy doing?
* Yes these are serious questions. We're trying to get a better understanding of the coma experience.
Sorry to ramble.. I was on the phone with my mom months ago and told her I've seen people who've been in comas post comments on RUclips (someone else I know fairly well was also in a coma), so my mom gave me a list of questions to ask coma survivors whenever possible. It's become something of a research project 😂 ANY answers would be much appreciated, and we're sooo glad you fully woke up 🙏✌️
"She made the whole household promise to come." That's the cutest line in this
Thank you, Dr. Creepen!
Fantastic work as always Dr,
Really digging the whole Darktown thing, sounds a little like my hometown which just happens to be the murder capital of the UK.
I look forward to finding out what else goes down in the town!
I love your voice, it is exceptionally enjoyable! I love dark town stories!
I LOVE THIS! And the last story...while I was thinking the same thing! More, please.
I'll definitely return to Dark Town!
Hey man I've been listening to your narrations for maybe 2 weeks now and you've definitely become my favorite! Love your stories and look forward to driving listening to them!
keep it up man
😏🤢🤮
I saw the title and laughed hysterically. We have a Darktown not far from where I live and one of my coworkers is obsessed with the town. Haha
Hello Dr. ! I pray you had a great week! I've got my bloody creepen in one hand and I'm holding my beautiful tabby in the other ! lol! Head gear on and here we go !!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE This series of "Dark Town" stories!!!
Wow! The last story was so well written and your narration added a whole new dimension to it. Amazing combo.
Your voice croons me to sleep every night, and scintillates me every day. You could read the dictionary and I'd still listen, completely enraptured.
"Listening to too many horror podcasts at work..." Okay, it's technically not a podcast but I'm only still at work because I keep listening to horror narrations. Last one, I swear.
Ha ha ha ! Greatness ! Serenity now , Insanity later !!!
These were all great stories! You are a pleasure to listen to and hang out with on a Friday Evening!
Thanks, Kareh :-)
Dr Creepn your at a master story teller status . thank you . 👍❗✌👐
You're very kind!
I hope you continue with the Dark Town series and perhaps this may encourage some writers to do a crossover. As always, thank you and great job!
Thanks, Brian. I'll definitely do this again!
That voice! You could make a shopping list sound fascinating 😃 🙂
My you certainly out did yourself tonight my dear Dr. I have always enjoyed anthologies and I look forward to another visit to Darktown with you as our guide
I'm already looking for the next set of stories!
This Dark Town is only about a 30 minute drive from Sin City. Not Vegas, the Frank Miller one. All the stories had their fantastic moments, and I loved everyone, however the final one featuring poor Jenna, ignored, verbally abused, basically made to feel as if her existence was nothing more than another itch to scratch. Well, in my opinion, that’s a mold from which killers can be made. Such a young and sweet girl, had the highest hopes of the smallest things. And all but forgotten. I can sympathize with her, and her actions. Of course it was quite the event that unfolded, but can you really argue that she wasn’t pushed to her limit? Sad thing..So another amazing job dear Dr., working my way through your list of “most popular” and hopefully within the next two years I’ll have finished them all! ☠️👍
Yes. More of this. Please!
Will do, Elgan.
That last one is so sad. I felt bad for her but also in a very small way I didn't
I think your stories are great, and the way you tell each tale draws you in each and every time...
How have I not found this channel sooner?! Listening reminds me of my very well worn vinyl record of Vincent Price reads Edgar Allen Poe.
Slamming that subscribe button!
0:44 "Stay with me, and I'll keep you safe."
❤❤I would NEVER
leave your side Dr!!🔥🔥
Ohhhhh. That's a Microphone! Not a corndog.... my bad...
:-)
That couldn't have gotten any better. Perfect!
that reminds me of a story one of my professors shared once. There was a new nurse that transferred over to her hospital from another state and in the state she previously lived in the abbreviation NR meant no resuscitation but in her new hospital it meant Non-Responsive.
Absolutely love your videos man👌🏽👌🏽 most soothing voice in pasta narration in my opinion
Your kind words are much appreciated!
Yes keep to this format!!
I go to a college where kids don't know how to cross the street. I would wonder, watching the government and contractors do many a stupid thing, with so much money, time and technological superiority. Then I realized the truth when I finally arrived on campus; these were the top 30%, the people who are better than I was ever supposed to be.
It's a valuable life skill! Always look both ways! Don't be that bicyclist that thinks we should share the road; people die in cars due to others drunk driving, what chance does a bike have?
laying back listening to the doc Best medicine for stress and a headache!!
Really enjoyed this multi approach. Great job!
have a great weekend Doc
You too, Paul.
happy to hear from you , as always , I've had a crummy day, but all better now ....❤and, yes, I'd love to revisit DARK TOWN !! MAYBE EVEN WEEKLY....?
Glad to be able to brighten things up for you :-)
t.y. 😸. you always do.
that pooooooooor child that NOone cared to celebrate her birthday!!! that's the stuff that makes crazy future criminals.
If only they'd paid her a little more attention!
Exactly!!!
Should've just had her own party.
That was my exact sentiment. The poor child.

😇😇😇
Poor Jenna. Happy Birthday, Little Miss. 🤘🤘🤘
Oh......no.
Can never turn a patient away, not even murders or rapists, unless of course they don't have insurance...
This was extremely enjoyable. I enjoy the most, stories with macabre endings.
:-)
love your vids Dr. Creepen!! Thank you!! 😁
You're very welcome!
Great series of stories. I had heard the one about the Dad who has to help the patient before, but Love the Setting of "Dark Town" USA.
I think it worked pretty well.
she must have been one strong kid, getting the fam. up on chairs, I was almost 12 before I could lift my mother. but she is right though, keep the happiness with you at all times, it will prevent one from getting grumpy as the years go by. one got to Want to be blissful, it is in our heart, not something others can bestow upon us unless we are Really lucky ;P and that can always be taken from us again. thank God no one can take away the love we receive from our brilliant Doctor! nice stories, his fantastic voice, and sweet demeanor(not sure right word) he is such a nice person, and I (we) just Love to hang out with him!much love from the cold north :)
Been trying to catch up with all your narration I apologise for being too late 😔💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️ I'm still in love with your voice and miss it dearly...
the last story made me tear up
Perfect end to a busy week, thanks Doc!
You're welcome, Lloyd :-)
its a good idea kinda of a chronicle of horror ... i wouldn't mind if you do keep it this way i actually encourage it this was nicely done
On that last story... Is it common for parents/gaurdians to leave a note telling kids they went out to eat (breakfast assumably in this case.) with mother/daughter and an employee of theirs, and then not come home for 9 HOURS?!? No call saying they are late. No text. No checking in in any way... Maybe just me, but that part really threw me off the story. I had to rewind it a couple times to see if i had missed something. Huh. Weird. Anyway, still loved it! Thanks, Doc! Much love!
An hr+ with the Doc, how lucky can one guy be...
Just found you! You are saving me so much audible money and you and ur stories are better than most I buy.
Oh wow!! that last one... WOW!! A plot like a Gordian knot, weaving in and out and getting all twisted around itself... and just as you think that knot can't get more twisted here comes the blade to slice right through it. WOW!!!
Yeah... felt bad for the girl at the same time, though.
That's the thing about all these plot twists around the same point... doesn't matter how it's unraveled later on it's not gonna be pretty...
That awkward moment when you find yourself sympathizing with the killer who was neglected just a little too much. 😅
My favorite is the hospital one 😆
omg what. I liked that type of style, tbh. It was really interesting to have like a lil story about a town or what not! ♥ I was wondering if you could read something from 'scary stories to read in the dark' but I'm unsure bc of copyright material ; ;
I try and be very careful about copyrighted material.
Really great stories and your choice of background music definitely added to the tension of the stories. Thank you
Glad you like them!
That voice, and that accent? Your voice is too good to be true! I'm a huge fan, would you make another Dark Town video anytime soon?
bad day fever is going around today. your narration and an angry orchard are on the way to putting it right!
Glad to have helped a little, Tina :-)
I love your videos doc. It really makes work fly by. If only I could close the phone and still play RUclips.
Yes! Would like some more. I like this.
OK!
well Doctor Creepen,
I'm having happy dreams tonight just from your voice. 😍😘😇
You're so sweet, Tiffany :-)
thank you & you're welcome!!! your voice is nothing less than perfection.
No Pikachu sleeping on a cloud in ur dream ? :D
Dylan K
lololololol naw can't tell all of my secrets. 😂
;-)
am I going colorblind, or is the image like that already, hahaha
Yeah, exactly which filter did they use to make NYC look green? Kinda cool, but awfully strange.
How do you not check the backseat AFTER your car is parked not the way you left it?????
#1 Put your top down, it will trap anyone/thing in your trunk.
Let me see...pajamas,favorite drink, comfortable chair, snack, and oh yeah, the velvety voice that makes me melt, let's go Dr. Creepen......; )
Looks like you're all set, Doris!
Hope you continue doing this I truly enjoyed the different stories, especially the last one.
Shoot! xD I've yet to watch the previous vid! xD I'll have to do that tomorrow, maybe! Thanks, Doc!
The vids are always here waiting for you :-)
#3 The little boy, Oh My God! Shoot under the bed!!! LOL!
loved the last story and found myself rooting for jenna. can i adopt her?
I love Dark Town Stories!
Another epic reading by the doctor thank you
Man at first i was pissed that someone would treat a little innocent girl like such trash. And i just couldn't contain my smile when jenna was happy i mean thats the best revenge story I've heard in a while
Absolutely fantastic Doc ❤
Great narration as usual, making my work night go by much quicker than it otherwise would! Looking forward to your next upload. This format was alright, it might be good to mix up the formats and keep us on our toes.
Experimenting with this; I feel that Dark Town could grow to incorporate many weird and wonderful things!
Nice collection doc - hope for more of these!
Will do!
LOVING how this one's set up!! :D
" Dad uploaded again "
I didn't mean to drop my coffee, but I did anyway.
Hope it didn't make a mess :-)
love love the stories. really love the little collections your putting together 💜
I'll definitely do it again!
more Dark Town stories pls
I only listen to Dr. Creepen at night, or during thunderstorms.
story 1:alaways check the back seat! story 2: people don't kill kids, bikes kill kids 3.monsters are always under the bed 4.kids are evil. these were all human monsters -which was interesting given it all happens one town. honestly this probably happens in every city. could use more scare and imagination ." tales from the city" series by natenator was much more on target but of course no where near as talented narration as the mighty Doc. ;) thanks!
I'm on the search for stories for the next Dark Town anthology. If you find anything that fits the bill, please let me know :-)
on it doc!
I fell asleep listening to your voice a couple of times. (In a good way) The stories are great too
Happy to help people relax!
:)
That's the kind of story I love hearing! Demons are scary....
Haven't listened to the narration yet, however I am sure that is going to be great as usual!
Thanks for the upload, love these longer videos.
Take care :)
And you, Andreas.
I had a day very similar to Jenna's birthday today... but with copious amonuts of cookies and milk in place of Jenna's "mess".
Sounds like you had a better experience!
The last story reminded me of the Shirley Jackson navela "We Have Always Lived In the Castle"
Love the stories keep it up Doc
I have a hard time listening to your stories cause I always fall asleep. Your voice is just perfection and your voice acting is amazing. I get into the story and, bam, knocked out.
I finished all of Creeps' stories. Let's see how many repeated attempts it takes to go through your Playlist! 😹
Haha... don't worry, Danyelle; the stories will be here waiting for you :-)
this is the best thing to lull me to sleep
The nurse or any nurse for that matter, that can care for someone that harmed their child are amazing because my ass would be in prison quick
You reply a lot, I've noticed.
I like your videos.
I try my best
Thank you Doctor!
