Hey gang, Im laying out some spin-able silver leafing and sprayable sizing glue from LiME LiNE. I start by cleaning and masking up the areas around and mix the sizing glue 1:1 with water. I spray 2-3 light coats and the leafing is ready to apply a few minutes after application. dry time does depend on how heavy you spray the sizing glue on. I suggest light coats to speed up the process. Try to apply as even and as smooth possible without over wetting. Not all silver leafing spins the same so be sure your buying the right products to get the best results possible. Using a Leaf roller will help you get good adhesion between the leaf and the glue and the leaf duster burnishes in a uniform appearance. I remove the masking and roll and dust one more time to clean up the edges. Im using a 1" engine turning tool with a 3000 grit 3m sanding pad cut to size. I try to keep a medium pressure when turning. You can always go back and re-turn but you can never take a turn back so start slow and give it a few practice runs before you start on your project.

Its alot easier than people think...the skill is in the design...only think i would do diffrent is cut the sheets down to atleast 1in strips...no need to waste so much leafing

How wet do I put the glue on? My leaf is kind of grainy looking not sure if I didn't roll it good enough or the texture is in the glue
very light. don't let the glue bead up.
