I swear no one actually watches the video before they comment lmao
Didn't i told you in a comment before this is a masterpieceXD
Shadows follow is the one i like most at the moment. Chasing light as well.
Expecially if you boost the speed up 10/15 procent for those songs
its a piece of somethin all right
True
haha riff similar funni
hehe
Inamorata is my favourite Black Sabbath song.
Seriously though, how cool would it be if they got Iommi to play this song with them at a show in the UK!
I think you meant Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Black sabbath are my favourite band and I don't get what's black sabbath about this song
@@steakndcheesemain riff, sounds like the song Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
@@germangonzalocastroPhantomLord it really doesnt
@@steakndcheese
1.the intro/main riff sounds just like Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
2. The Interlude bass solo sounds similar to Geezer's solos
3. It's long
4. It's about love (Sabbath's songs were often about love)
5. The guitar solo isn't your typical Kirk-y whacky ass solos and instead sounds like Tony's masterpiece solos
So in conclusion yeah it does sound like Black Sabbath
I’m gonna let you in on a secret. Every song in the world sounds like another song.
thank you. don't know why people think every lick or note played in a riff is somehow copying someone else every time.
cope
In rock it is kind of unavoidable. That riff also sounds to me like fixxxer riff sped up
What I noticed is that they didn't really do any clean guitar buildups of songs on this album. Don't think songs like One will ever happen again
The day that never comes was the last one
@@riffhousestudios96 Halo On Fire actually
They don't seem to have as many songs that are dense/layered, or musically tell a story anymore. Everything since St Anger has just sounded like a bunch of riffs stitched together. Granted, most of Justice sounded like that but at least the riffs were weird enough that they could pull it off.
Don't get me wrong, I loved a lot of Death Magnetic and Hardwired (and eventually 72 Seasons when I get around to listening to the rest of it) but something just doesn't seem "real" about them. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe I'm just annoyed that they didn't continue their 90s style and I think they're faking it by trying to go back to thrash.
@@0Fdigital they’re just doing side quests at this point. At 60 I’m just glad they still have it in them to write at all.
@@0Fdigitalit’s their guitar tone if I had to guess. Since Load the songs have had more of a hard rock tone than a thrash/heavy metal tone. If they used a guitar tone that was more reminiscent to their first 5 albums, the songs would sound more “complete”
I need a few more listens to really lock in my opinions on this album but i definitely like this song more than 3 of the four singles they dropped.
That’s it! Same here. This album at the moment sounds strange (IMHO), where second half of the album is better than the first one. In Hardwired it was opposite. And yet, they managed again do controversial sound choice - …AJFA (no bass), SKOM (quite raw sound, for Metallica to that day strange drum sound), DM (over the top loudness - I literally can’t listen to this original recording, and as I have lost Guitar Hero version tracks I haven’t listened to this album already for years already, but it was very good album! Ok, thanks for coming to my TED talk!
Do "If 'That Was Just Your Life' was on Ride The Lightning"
Metallica did it again. They released yet another Metallica album of all time.
Yeah, they did. A *captialistic* success for all the *Rebellious* types that think this is *Metal* when it is actually pussy-punk Hard Rock.
Yep it's another album.
They've seriously lost something in their writing and it's not their ability to play...
I mean, it's not to say that there are BRILLIANT fucking parts here and there. But for me, Metallica hasn't written a song in years thats a complete, great song. The whole song might be awesome, except for a bridge that might not even be bad, but just not fit the song. Or a shitty solo. Or a solo that's the only good thing in the song.
its definitely an album of time
@@StateOfMercury i have to say that after listening to this album, I am questioned about Metallica now and this is the first time ever in my life I have to say it.
Ha! Exactly what I thought of when I first heard this song. Inamorata is still badass though. Best song on the album.
Yep it's the only interesting song on the album imo
Best part of the album is Room of Mirrors post solo riff
Such an outstanding song. Almost decided it's my favorite on the album
People in Metallica related comment sections since the album dropped seem to be on :megaMeth: or something :tro:
The intro/main riff sounds exactly like Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
People have fucked up hearing
Exactly my thoughts when i heard it
No it doesn’t.
Yup. I heard that on the first listen - and can't unhear it ever again. 😄 Otherwise, a good Outlaw Torn/Fixxxer-esque song.
Totally Agreed! I can listen to it over and over again
Amazing track. Sabbath/QotSA vibes for sure.
Is this song in Db tuning, or just played in that key?
Just the key
Dude, I was just thinking this listening to it in the car today 😂
I think they also used that riff on The Unforgiven if I’m not mistaken
What is the beginning from
What does your guitar transform into?
A robot.
That Chasing light main riff is a nasty boy
Dude, chasing light chorus riff and shadows follow breakdown riff are filthy
Funny enough Are You Gonna Go My Way is over 20 years old.
Inamortata gets an A+ for arrangement, but isn't a Metal song like Black Sabbath. It gets worse before it gets better: I wasn't impressed with Eternal Light (Lux Aeterna) or If Darkness Had A Son.
But the good news is that I liked 72 seasons (the song) better, and then after finally listening to the rest of the entire album tonight: upon 1st listening is actually slightly better "Hardwired", even if it didn't have a song as fast as the previous album's title track. But even the title track to the last album was too short, and the last song (Spit Out The Bone) wasn't fast enough. Hardwired had a clear stand out song for me: Moth Into The Flame.
But this album seems to be more even in quality. I may change my mind, as this is my opinion NOW upon completion of 1st listening. I don't know if I'm going to like this album more in the future or less in the future; only time now can tell. Metallica was the 1st thrash band to have good production and brilliant arranging which I noticed since MPO was new. Thanks for all you do with the love you have for Metallica's riffs and their sound engineering.
Yup, just as I thought. Definitely a song.
It's definitely one of the things that happened
Cause I really gotta know!
Lemmy Havitz. My favorite Beatle since Click Baiton.
Lol😂😂😂
Honestly when I heard this song for the first time, I thought it was supposed to be an instramental like My Friend of Misery
My Friend Of Misery isn’t instrumental….

What if Inamorata was on Load?)
😂 Lenny Kravitz as special guest
So does the song grow on you or is this a pure Mercury joke ?
I can't seem to understand all the jerkoffs about this song but this riff is nice.
Misery is my friend ?
Yeah I don't hear it in the actual song. Don't care fucking loving this album, it just groves, the harmony is sublime, too far gone is top tier, the mid section on you must burn is legendary. On like my tenth listen already 😊
Lenny Hetfield. Yeaahhhhh!
Are you gonna go my way?
Ahah noticed the exact same thing
So just started listening to some of the new songs about an hour and a half ago. And holy s*** the first few I've listened to are just friggin awesome. Room of mirrors, the song and the video Is just off the charts. Chasing light is nothing short of amazing. Inamorta is just epic. And sleep walk my life away is fantastic. And oh yeah, Too far gone is also amazing as well. Really loving this album so far.
This is the Album of the Friday before it is forgotten the next Friday
Pretty much 😂

ngl I dont remember most of the album and ive listened a few times
Didn't hear this at all before your video. Even with similar structure its too precisely articulated to resemble Kraviz
ngl all the songs are fire ... all the songs have something catchy about them ( except a few )

But what I really wanna know is? Are you gonna go my way?
Hey does anyone wanna go my way?

Don't forget that you have to include, "The best album since the Black Album" that boils my piss until my bladder explodes because the black album will never touch this crap.
Master piece of sh.t

Best song in the last 30 years since The Unforgiven
Wtf
LOL
Ahahahahahaaaa
Get sober.
I don't think the Sabbath bloody Sabbath is that bad, but this riff stood out to me immediately.
As a musician, do you think there still exists an original riff or progression any more? Seems like everything has already been done. What do you think?
definitely a tough situation. Probably everything has been done (to some extent) but thats kind of just in terms of musical notes. You could probably argue that there is much to be uncovered with production choices and how different pieces or layers can be arranged together, or combinations of instruments or something like that. Now, that's not to say there isn't any unique music floating around out there, and i'm not even knocking being not unique either. Because most popular songs tend to follow a lot of the same patterns and often use similar chords.(not all of course)
@@StateOfMercury That's a great answer to the question! It opens up my thought process on music as a whole. Maybe it's just my opinion but I feel like Avenge sevenfold could be a good example of what you're saying.
Lemmy Krawitz 😆
Lenny Kravitz?
Yeahhhh….. Out of all the albums they’ve put out this latest one is well……it’s(cough cough)…..um, there you go.
Hah. Nice.
hehe
This song is black sabbath - paranoid, the outlaw torn and halo on fire all in one, my fav off the entire album.
It took me 3 times of listening to the song before I could put my finger on it 🤣 why can’t they have a little bit of kravitz influence?

Got mixed up between Lenny and Lemmy! WTF!
gosh darn lemmy Kravitz

just doing my part in spreading the good work of the best song on 72 seasons! ;)
But they lose the opportunity to make Unf4rgiven xD
Yeah haha
Like Metallica(1991), it is the album of all time
I don’t like any song on the album...some songs sound very old 80’s metal which is cool and Lars’ rhythms are badass...but it doesn’t really sound like Metallica, and James’ lyrics in some songs are actually a bit satanic...lyrically this is their darkest album, and it’s not appealing to me at all...overall I’m Very disappointed with it, and more so that he divorced his wife over 25 years...
Man, it was so funny reading all the Inamorata hype, then hearing it for the first time and being like, "Why is it Lenny Kravitz Are You Gonna Go My Way?"
but why.....
I would rather see another St. Anger, completely ignoring what fanboys want, going in a different direction, than this uninspired mess of "familiar" riffs mashed together, over boring drums and "complemented" by Kerry King solos.
It must be cool to cover songs by the band you "hate". Looking forward to things like "What If Inamorata Was On Master of Puppets".
@@StateOfMercury Hope we all get canc*r. Me, you and him.

I don't hear Are You Gonna Go My Way. I was never a big fan of that song anyway.
This album is incredible
Lmao
Album sucks, most overrated and over hyped album in 20 years/
but just to be clear, we understood the joke right? lmaoo
That's a weird comment to make since there really was very little hype about this album. They pretty much dropped the first single out of the blue without notifying anyone. And what was the most overhyped album of the last 25 years, just curious?
It IS a masterpiece. And I still think that riff comparison is a stretch lol.
Dude please remove the hi-hat in the clean part in the song if you can. It’s too loud
This album is garbage and i love Metallica. Born in 73 and listening to them for almost 40 years. Not sorry.
cant disagree there
And Inamorata is garbage? Maybe you need to check your hearing at that age...:) Some good stuff on this album...I guess video part is trolling and title is serious :)
The only problem is, like almost the whole album, it does NOT earn its length. Way too fuckin long
Disagree
It earns every second. The song is taking you on a fucking journey. I guess tiktok has further rotted brains and attention spans.
yes it takes you on a journey of other people's riffs and cringe lyrics
@@BrainWasherAttendent theres two kinds of “Long” Metallica songs. Theres And Justice for All long and Outlaw Torn long. Justice long is a sprint to the finish and feels like one of their short songs. Outlaw long is “ok cool, yeah, ok boys we get it you can stop now, in fact , you have to trim like 3 minutes off this one if you want it to fit on the CD” this new song falls somewhere in between where it doesnt drag as badly as some of the other songs on 72 but it definitely could have been tightened up in a few spots.
Or at minimum some sections could have been juiced up a bit. Rob could have done more with his bass interlude ala Cliff/ Jason. The part he plays is so sparse it didnt need to be unaccompanied for 8 bars or whatever it was.
Love the song. Just something about James saying "love" so many times in a song makes me wanna puke.
Overall it's a mix between Sabbath bloddy Sabbath, My Friend of Mystery, Bleeding me and Outlaw Torn. But it sounds quite boring and monotonous. Verses are not that bad (quite heavy bangers) but choruses are pretty lame. Solo is not that bad. The slow middle part sucks af but it escalates perfectly to extended harmony duet solo which is total My Friend of Mystery - I love this part, there are emotions and nice storytelling melody. If James wrote storytelling clean arpeggio for the middle part, it would be much MUCH better than that lame whining. There should have been thrashy gallopy riff since 8:53 instead of that...whatever it is, but it's boring af. Paradox is that the song doesn't feel that long and it kinda flows with grace.
It tries to be a ballad but without clean guitars and it doesn't work in that case. It would be so great but again, it's killed by those nonsense stuff and the Load/Reload vibe - I hate those albums so much. I really don't know how to feel about this song. Btw all I wrote is just my opinion.
Yeah, I had hoped for a ballad like “Halo On Fire” on this album at least, but it didn't deliver it :(
@@run-of-the-mill I don't like that one either. I was hoping for something like The Day That Never Comes - one of the best clean guitar riffs ever written (for me).
@@run-of-the-mill Halo on Fire is not a ballad. It just has a clean guitar section. St. Anger has one as well, and it's definitely not a ballad.
@@Erickhetfield yeah? But it's also structured not quite like “St. Anger.” And what about the outro? What does make a song a ballad in your book?
