A clean room reflecting a clean mind....well, something like that. Great to see that life in the new place is starting to come together. take care and happy building
Keep that MOJO up Harry. I always look forward to and enjoy your videos. When you've got the opportunity to work on whatever you want then always choose something that will make you happy.
Thanks Tim... I am trying to get through the dozen WIP in my cupboard... instead of starting something new, which is often what makes me happy. But each of my WIP were bought because I wanted that kit.. so I have no excuse not to be happy.
Love your new set up mate. You have less space but you've optimised it brilliantly. Great seeing your stash of kits, beauty to behold!! Never doubt the interest in seeing your builds mate. We love it.
Hell Harry I completely missed the fact that you are moving! Your video "Harry's move to the city" has just popped up so need to watch that! The hobby room looks great mate, nice set up. Great stash too my friend, some wonderful kits there. looking forward to your first 'build' video from teh new place. I hope you are well sir and the mojo is rearing to go.
Thanks Al... I am adjusting to city life... or more likely it’s making me knuckle under and conform... getting used to all the noise and sleeping a little better now... but really miss the peace, quiet and space of the country
One chair Harry!!! Its the best thing I have ever done, you can always pull another chair from another room if someone comes over. Given what you say you do in that room ( Work bench And New Kits), its probably best to have people in another room anyway unless their paying to watch.
Great looking work/moderling area Harry. We all would like a warehouse but were stuck with what area.room we have lol. Just updating a spray cupboard waiting on my two smaller spray booths it will give a better sparing area. And good luck with the sale of you kits’ I have been doing the same.
Many of the kits I bought 5 years ago are not what I am into these days... so I pull older kits out of the stash all the time to sell... according to scalemates I have sold 150 kits over that time!
Crieky Harry in the city what's next dare to think! Come on Harry stiff upper lip lol ..awesome set up going on there wow what a stash nice digs need a sound track of wildlife of the out- back in background ,get busy the mojo will respond and grow yet again!! Cheers from the frozen hemisphere - Canada ...
Glad to see you are settled in Harry. Love to see a build vid on the Beemer. Reduced your stash by 50? Wow! I really need a similar purge. Happy building again!
Thanks Adam.. yes it was a sacrifice but I simply don’t have anymore storage space for kits... this should stop me buying any... unless I can make holes by building models.
Spotted your Supermodel CANT 506 Seaplane, I have most of the same kit in my stash, had to liberate some parts to replace ones I botched in the Italeri updated kit. (The updated kit contains a more detailed cockpit and crew compartment as well as photo etched parts, if you go on the italeri site you should be able to get those sprues as spares and build a more modern take on the subject)
Awww mate, coming on leaps n bounds, great to see you getting sorted, and of course we are interested. Chin up, it's coming together, won't be long before you have reign in the waffle, can't wait, 😂.
There is one of those ltd pzl's staring at me in my stash as well. Looked it over and was pretty disappointed with what I saw. Would definitely like to see your BMW finished. Makes me want to go get on one and go for a ride. Have been thinking of getting a new bike, I am getting too old for my rice rocket.
I miss my Triumph very much, but after I injured my knee 10 years ago, I cannot put my right leg down to support a bike, without the fear of it giving way and then bike and myself falling over.
@@HarryHoudiniModels That's a shame Harry. I have been riding off and on since age 7. It is something I would truly regret not being able to do anymore as well.
Had to laugh. I bought the LTD 1/48 PZL P.11c, not sure if that's the kit you reference at the end; but there's so much work required due to the poor molding that I debated the same thing you did. I agree, just get a better kit. Perhaps make this one as a ceiling hanger for one of my baby nephews. Really nice work area, and to have your stash organized on shelves instead of stacked on the floor, how great that must be.
Thanks Kem... organising the stash has been a long time coming, so while moving house, I put each make in a different packing box. Then when I unpacked the boxes they just went easily into seperate sections, in order for a change.
The new room looks great... I'm looking forward to seeing your next build. In one of your ship builds you used a salt water wash. Who makes it? Thanks for taking the time...
Hi Jason. The salt wash I used was from the Lifecolor Liquid Pigments range for detailing ships. There is a video from Lifecolor on RUclips showing how to use all their Liquid Pigment washes.
Thanks Ticels... sure can do but won’t be for a while... have the Varyag to repair, Graf Spee to complete, promised to build the Seydlitz last year so that is the next big build.. plus I have Beckers half built Monitor Abercrombie to finish. The Tirpitz is on my list but not until the next decade.
All my built kits are still wrapped in tissue and stored in plastic containers like the Varyag. Need to assemble my new Ikea cabinet to put them in... I gave my old display cabinet to a mate before I moved
Good to see your getting back into it Harry, mancave looking good too and hey I spotted that Special Navy Type II sub. gonna get me one now. Seen some reviews all positive but none give dimensions for the bloody thing - Do you mind me asking you? Just approx is good. Thanks matey ‘well hellooo from the UK‘, Dave
The hull is in 4 parts.... the bow section halves are 13 inches long and the stern halves 9.5 inches long each... so would not fit in the 17 inch long box otherwise being 22.5 inches (572mm) in total length.
Greetings from the sunshine coast in Canada! Love the bike ; looks great. What scale? 1/9 ? I must keep an eye out for kits like that. Thank you for sharing.
Harry, you said you were parting with some of your kits. Are they listed on eBay? I've started playing bolt action up here in Bundy, I'd be keen on any 1:48 scale WWII armour that you would consider surplus to your requirements.
No 1:48 Armour, or any armour kits for sale mate, sorry. Just a heap of WWI 1:72 and 1:48 aircraft I’ve bought better or bigger scale versions of... so they got pulled out of the stash cupboard to clear space for the kits I really want to build.
Hi Steve.. some of the old classic kits like my Airfix are great builds, if you can find them, which can be super detailed if you choose. Both Amoshima and Tamiya make a nice range of motorcycle kits, but mostly modern versions. Italeri make a few older bikes and I have my eye on a WWII Triumph kit at the LHS.
Hi Guido... the small one at the top of my ship stash is an Aoshima rebox of the old Imai kit from the 70’s in about 1:200 scale... at the bottom near the floor I have a Heller 1:60 scale Norman ship... same thing but a lot bigger
I have two more racks with all my Lifecolor and Tamiya. About 100 more paint jars. But they are currently on the floor until I work out a better place to sit them. I missed showing them in the video because they were at my feet. I also have an artist paint box under the spray booth full of primers and thinners.
Thanks Harry, I could not imagine those being your only paints. I seem to have a couple of hundred paints myself, well maybe more than a couple of hundred, lol.
They do seem to accumulate over the years... plus I am slowly replacing Lifecolor with Hataka. Lifecolor does not like the Australian heat and many of my bottles went off turing to jelly.

I don’t know about clean, but organised sums me up... I like order and a plan... so I can rebel and break it... to do something else.
Love to see a video of the Beemer build!
Can do
Looks good Harry. It'll be a pleasure to see you build your B.M.W motorbike mate.

Good in theory but there is no space in the other rooms... this place is under 70 sqm so half my garage is full of things which just did not fit.

Was it as nice to build back then? I am really enjoying it now.
love the IronClad 1/350 ' Myoko ' Heavy IJN Cruiser
Thanks... it was a bargain and my first Aoshima kit... I’ve had a few requests for a box review, so may do that later in the year

Great stuff Harry !! I love it !!! I must do mine soon !! Stay safe young man

Neat workshop, it got much smaller for sure, but it still looks comfy :)
Once I purged a lot of furniture and kits it left just enough space for comfy

How do you keep it so organised?! Also could you please tell me where you get those paint bottle holders/stands? Great work!
The paint racks and small brush/paint holder were all Hobby Zone products, although a few are rebranded by Ammo MIG.
Love your set up sir!

Hey Harry. Its good when you can move and gain space. But not as much when you lose. What did you do with your completed models?
