Happy to see you are using Mission Models Paints. I started learning airbrushing using them and never use other brands (not even Tamiya paints). For my use I find they are perfect for me, as long I'm careful when manipulating my model before sealing it with varnish. For hand painting, I probably will need to buy some vallejo paints.
I like mission models as an acrylic , but have been using laquers a lot more lately, that doesn't mean I won't be using MM in future as I like to mix it up a bit 🙂
Hey James I expect most of your stash shelves will be almost empty by the time this passes like Graham it's good to put a face to you good luck and thanks for sharing 😉👍
Hey James, cool studio tour. I see this is the first time you've Ummm... "exposed yourself".🙂🙂 I thought I would expose myself from my first video so everyone had a good chance to either run or stay... looks like most hung on.:):) That Guinness glass filled with water is a sad sight to behold indeed. You really need to remedy that. I like a clean and neat studio and yours is pretty tidy. I do however envy that modular storage station you have, I need to get some of those units. I should probably do a studio tour soon as well... I've been meaning to. One last thing I noticed (and I shit you not) the colour of the walls in your room is almost the exact colour of mine. I saw it in a local pub and thought the colour seemed historical for some reason, I'll send you a photo. I hope you're staying safe. Cheers!
HI scott ! I try not to expose myself too often, might get arrested !.. you should have seen the state of the glass before I cleaned it.. it could have passed for Guinness. The hobbyzone units are pretty good, works out dear but I dont mind to keep things more organised. Its way better than the ice cream tubs and the rack on the lower left on which my compressor sits that i was using before. 😄
Hi James! Nice to meet you. Decent stash, mine is much bigger which is not something that I'm proud of... :-( I've spotted there some interesting kits and I am looking forward to seeing them built! Not to mention the Pz.I from your work bench... Greetings from Romania!
Hi Radu thanks for watching ! It's easy to get carried away and buy more kits ( shows are the worst lol ).. I only went to one last year so apart from the occasional purchase my stash didn't expand. Let me know what you want to see and I'll make sure to add it to the video list. James
@@lpjmodels :-) I wouldn't want to put any pressure on you, there are only a few I wouldn't have bought myself, but I feel I have to mention the IAR-81, the Macchi C.202 and the old Land Rover from Tamiya... But anything fancies you it will be most welcome!
Do you use a spray booth? Or just airbrush on the desk space? Sorry if I missed something in the video, but I see a compressor and airbrushes etc but nowhere to do it. Cheers!
Hi Ian, I dont have a spray booth at the moment. I spray everything in the work area, for the most part it's fine, I make sure to open the windows I have to create an airflow when spraying alclad or mr Surfacer.
That looks tricky ! I'm a bit back logged at the moment for vids, the best thing I can suggest is take it slow and use lots of thin coats. Awesome looking vehicle as well!
lpj models it’s a strange concept, front and back look exactly the same maybe to fool the enemy I’m not sure. Awesome looking forward to the up coming videos :)))
Hi James. Just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I’ve just ordered some HobbyZone kit for my workbench and I heard you mention that you should’ve waxed your drawers. Is that your recommendation? I’ve ordered quite a few drawers so I guess I need to get some good wax too! Any wax or what would you recommend? Cheers and stay safe in these crazy times!
Hi Richard ! Thankyou very much, the hobbyzone stuff I found has changed my workbench so much for the better. They are really useful and easy to assemble, apart from when you get over keen with the Glue. If you make sure to wipe the pva/woodglue from the inner corners of the units you'll be fine. If you do get a sticky drawer the old cabinet makers trick of rubbing some beeswax on the offending corners should help. ( I haven't yet done this though) I appreciate the sub thankyou !
Looks good just enjoyed your whippet build, you video the 1/16 panzer on the bench. look forward to your next build.
Hi Paul thankyou ! The panzer I video is in editing at the moment
Nice setup. I loves meself some workbench videos!!!
Thanks Brett ! I sometimes wonder about a hobby room to myself, ( we have a one up one down cottage) but then I know it would all be mess.

Thanks mate ! Gets the job done

Hi James, which desk lamp do you have?
What type of airbrush(s) do you use?
Hi Garry, my main airbrush is a h&s infinity cr 0.2, backup is an iwata hpb also 0.2 and a old sparmax sp35

Starting a Skoda pa-2 model but not sure how to do camouflage without a airbrush, maybe a tutorial? Keep up good work pal
