- Driving east on I-376 towards downtown Pittsburgh through the Fort Pitt Tunnel provides a dramatic change in scenery from the mostly green and wooded hills west of the city to the beautiful urban skyline of Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle.

That is my most favorite View of my City. This View never gets old. I Cherish every trip into Pittsburgh Thru this Tunnel
Thank you very much. I go through the tunnels maybe once a month and I am always amazed by the beautiful change in scenery.
I am living in Denver now, but I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and I can attest that this might be the single best entrance to any city in the world that I have visited! With the caveat, of course, that traffic cooperates and the weather is sunny, or dramatic.
Crossing the Queensboro bridge into Manhattan is still the best entrance to a city for me.
Nighttime is 10x better. ;)
And there's no road construction :)
Great shot! I always tell people about this when I talk about Pittsburgh.
Thank you very much! I love this change of views.
Holy ****. Does this videographer realize how fortunate he/she is being able to come down Greentree Hill to the tunnels with the traffic this light?
A couple years ago, the U.S. DOT did a survey of the most congested stretches of highway in the country, and this section of I-376 from the Ft. Pitt Tunnels to the Carnegie exit was the only entry in the Top-10 that WASN'T in California.
Must have been a weekend
Probably during the Pandemic.
this was definitely a pandemic thing. went there during COVID with my father and the streets and city were basically empty
I'm watching this as if I don't do this drive every day on my way home from work😂
Same here. Lol.
No greater view in the entire country! Still wish I lived there!
"I feel infinite."
Pittsburgh is so cool
It's even better at night.
Totally true. Pittsburgh's skyline at night is magical.
A right to left sweep gets the Mon before it's gone and the Point is still in view.
To get the view of the city Go to the lookout on
top of Mount Washington right above
the tumnel
You missed the real view to the right. The whole downtown landscape.
The tunnel is one-way only? Are there separate tunnels for each lane?
Yes, there are separate tubes for each direction.
Not only is there a separate tunnel for each direction, the Ft. Pitt Bridge is a double deck bridge, so inbound traffic is on the top deck and outbound on the lower deck.
Where is all the traffic ??? LOL
Just need to go when there is no rush hour or Steelers traffic :)
It probably a Sunday morning or something.
@@412StepUp good guess, it was Sunday at around 2pm
