Had 2004 Transit that had done something similar, except the fan was still sitting there but the stub that it was held on by had eaten the viscus coupling away. Only happed to notice because I touched it while under it one day looking for an oil leak! Never did get around to replacing it and sold it 2 years later on 😁
You’re the Steve ‘boring’ Davis of mechanics mate in the best possible way! (Spitting Image reference, before your time 😂) Back in the Eighties he was winning literally every snooker tournament, making it look super easy! Just as you do in all your episodes. It’s hard to get across the years of blood, sweat & tears it took you to get to this level of knowledge. Total respect Sir 👊🏻
Love the videos , going to have to get myself one of those trolley's after seeing that, mind's blown. Been tempted to leave a comment about the intro for a while suggesting it's a bit too long (30s before the video starts adds up when watching loads) but instead was blown away by the volume of the new short one 😂 Think it's much better from a viewers perspective to get right into the content and probably for viewer retention also, just needs to be a bit quieter now and it's perfect 👍
Im starting my mobile business, what do you recommend for car ramps? Should i keep some in the back of the van? What weight limit should I look for before just using a hydraulic jack? Thanks for the help
Why would the starter motor fail so quickly just because the timing is a little bit out....is it the length of extra cranking time taken to start the engine? Also I wondered if this van had been driven through water to loose the fan blade's.
Would you say timing belts don't need changing as often as it says. I've done a few on different cars and the old belts have been as good the replacements.😊
Love the format Kirby! Keep them coming mate.As a Pro do you still get nervous on first start up even though you have checked and aligned everything correctly?
That folding trolley is mega!
It’s a game changer mate

It’s actually solid mate
That is better, helpful and detailed. Thank you. What grease did you apply on water pump seal?
It’s just red rubber grease

Jack and axle stands are best but the Halfords ramps are very useful to keep on them van for uneven surfaces 👍🏼
Great job, how much did you charge?
Also where did you buy the trolley from

Off the top of my head was around £500 for the job
In 40 years: 4 timing belts and 3 head gasket failed, all well before date/mileage. Never lend me a car.
No clutch failure though.
That's not bad for 40 years 😂😊
Damn, on one hand that’s not bad but I bet didn’t feel that way at the time 😂
Yes new format is good
Nice one 👍🏼
on a crafter you will get that engine code when the bottom crank pully is warn
ruclips.net/video/-INfbySUPzQ/видео.html
Yeah I think I read that somewhere, they are slightly oval like ain’t they?
Why would the starter motor fail so quickly just because the timing is a little bit out....is it the length of extra cranking time taken to start the engine? Also I wondered if this van had been driven through water to loose the fan blade's.
Yeah extended crank time may have burnt it out is what I believe anyway
Would you say timing belts don't need changing as often as it says. I've done a few on different cars and the old belts have been as good the replacements.😊
Very hard one that, for the risk involved leaving it another year or so I don’t think is worth it
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic thank you

Oh absolutely, every time 😅
Great video did youever find out who pilfered the fan 😢😅😊
😂😂I think it went walkies on it own
ive got fiat scudo 2007 with no hot start do you think my timing belt is out thanks for the content
Do you mean non start when hot?
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic yes run it for a mile to shops come back out wont start have to wait half hour for engine to cool down before it starts
Quite possibly, needs diag, could also be something like a temperature sensor
I really appreciate your work please can I work with you
I’m afraid I’m a Lone Ranger
Why had timing slipped? Belt didn't appear to have shed teeth or been loose. Guessing original belt
No teeth stripped etc no, tensioner seemed ok, I’ve had it most commonly on these crafters for some reason
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic thanks for replying.appreciate it
Nice 😮😅
