I said "hello" to Dean at his very first TT (2011): & it's great that he's as friendly and down-to-earth now as he was then. It's been a pleasure to see him become one of the very best on the roads, so bring on the new road racing season. I can't wait to see him (& the team) at the sharp end again at the Southern 100 next year. Deeeeeaaaaaannnoooooooo!
Deano you Legend! One amazingly fast road rider. Buzz you get from watching the TT is unreal. Can't imagine what it must be like to ride the TT course at Dean's speed! Very brave lad!
Been watching Dean only a couple years now but last year I thought it was brilliant that a young racer was winning the tt because he looks so young and i thought he was 22 and really shocked me to learn he was actually a lot older
Seems 100 percent down to earth guy who’s a straight shooter , and can definitively ride a bike , with his head firmly on his shoulders , cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Road races have to be absolutely the bravest “athletes” or as I call them gladiators, but at the same time coolest guys ever! What impresses me and never fail to impress is actually how intelligent people are ! I love this sport or lifestyle
What a nice lad...I bought an sp1 off his brother can’t remember his name but I went round Conrad’s house near Shipley to buy it and can say the whole family was lovely, they had a good little worship with the sidecar in it and I must admit I had never heard of Conrad Harrison and I imagine Dean was very young and he was not there anyway....his brother was a good lad and I’m sure I read he had started racing.
It's funny. I think with a lot of dangerous sports the anticipation and fear before is the worst. When the thing starts everything is gone. And than there is only you and your Bike or you and the opponent and so on. Martial Artist say the exact same thing about the time before a fight.
Brilliant interview not one bit of that did I not understand. Same for me at speedway supporter for 18years then got a bike never got far but loved the experience.
Top bloke and brave as hell.
Followed this lad for a while now and man is he fast top rider and humble great ambassador for the tt and hopefully for bsb
Balls of steel them boys
Agreed!

very insightful and honest, brilliant.
Top lad 👍 What he said about the TT spot on it’s the greatest emotional feeling ever .
Watching it from the hedge is emotional enough, can only imagine what they feel!
18 you started racing? I'm 33 and just starting in 2020. Age is just a number 👌 And life is all about learning. R1 too lol.

Thanks for posting this. I've followed Dean for most of his career & it is a pleasure to see him succeeding at the level he does. What a rider.
