1,000 rounds wow. The gun is impressive for that alone along with the other attributes. I appreciate your comments and the time spent shooting it. You are so right about the haters of the lower priced firearms.
Sir, I appreciate you rolling with the punches that some of these people have been giving you for trying to give it an honest and unbiased review. You've honestly put more rounds through this firearm than most of the people in its target demographic ever will and I think that alone demonstrates that it is worth the price they're asking. I agree with you that this is still a budget firearm, it's made to lower specifications and out of less expensive materials, but that doesn't make it bad. It is a tool for defending your family, your self, and your property--it's not a competition gun, nor is it meant to go to war. Most people only need it to work just the once before it winds up in that evidence locker, and the fact that it can go a thousand rounds without serious maintenance earns it a gold star from me. Keep on doing what you're doing
Thanks for a good honest video. I am not a Taurus fan but I own one. Every gun has a purpose, and my Taurus rides in my truck as a back-up. If my truck is broken into I won't be loosing an expensive piece. Keep up the good work and God Bless!
Great review. The GX2 really seems to be punching above its weight, especially for the price. I do wonder, though-in normal use, people would clean their gun after a few hundred rounds, so going all the way to 1000 rounds without cleaning feels like a pretty over-the-top test. Are you trying to push the limits to see where it fails? Either way, it’s impressive to see how it held up, and appreciate the effort you put into this review.
I spent most of my 76 years on this earth in sales and marketing. One thing anyone who has any time in sales will tell you that it takes ten praises of a product to overcome one bad review. I’ve noticed on some YT channels a person who has heard something bad about Taurus even if it was 10 plus years ago will begin their review by reminding their followers of the terrible quality issues. Many of them will still hang on to the “I would not entrust my life to a Taurus” regardless of what torture and endurance test they 0:10 themselves have put it through. Thankfully, many of the skeptics have been honest enough to admit that Taurus has turned a corner on their production quality. Regardless of the product none are perfect. That’s why we have lemon laws on cars. Ford, Chevy, Honda, Toyota, BMW and Mercedes and all the rest have had their issues with certain models. Yet they all have produced some fantastic products. I wish some of the Taurus haters would at least put aside the prejudice when reviewing and new Taurus product and at least realize that a product costing a third to half the cost of another product is not and cannot be the overall quality of the brand that is drastically more expensive. Thank you for your honest reviews.
She said and I quote…”I made sure I wasn’t going to have problems with that thing because I knew if I limped it and it failed you’d make me start over and I was trying to get in the heat.” 😂🤣
I'm a Glock guy but I got a Taurus g3c toro and more than 1,000 rounds on this gun and i not having any problems at all and it's part of my EDC rotation I'm assuming that GX2 it's a better gun that my G3C forget about the haters humans are hard to please I'm glad that everyone had the opportunity to own a gun not everyone can afford buying expensive guns! Great video keep it up Brother and God Bless 🙌.
I'm glad to see it made it out to the 1000 rnd mark. I'm just catching up on some YT videos. I was busy doing 2 peerless water boiler installs this weekend. (Milwaukee Press tool was my best friend).. Anyhow, now I'm thinking of getting one of these just to add in my carry rotation. (Obviously, I'd be testing mine before adding it to the rotation) Seems like the updated GX4 in terms of reliability and ergos, and for 250, you just can't go wrong. Originally, I made a comment on the quality and machining because I heard a youtuber that I like watching talking about the machining quality, and he's also a guntuber you could normally trust. He praised the taurus line up, then the GX2 came out, and he was looking at it like whoa what happened to taurus.
Idk I don’t see anything abnormal. I mean the machining on a Taurus has never been great. Maybe he got a Friday after lunch or Monday before lunch gun The who knows.
Appreciate the work as always. Takin one for the team. Different firearms have different purposes. I can see this flexing into a spare kit gun or such. This is not the type of guns you show your friends when they come over. It is the type of gun you show your adversary.
I have a g2c was my first gun, still have it, it runs any ammunition I have put through it. I think it it is the best one I have. Will not sell this one. Good video thank you
I still have my pt111 g2. Still does the job! Its been regulated to a stash gun around the house since I started carrying my two daggers but... God's Blessings brother
I own a good amount of pricy firearms. I do own 4 budget guns and they work well. All four have 1000's of rounds shot through them. They have never failed me. I have added them to my carry rotation.
You buy far are the only gun tuber. That I have seen so far that has put 1000 rounds through the GX2. I have the GX4 too and I own other fire as will and I want this gun myself too and you have been all round up front on your reviews which you can find that type of person he is willing like you do too put the time and testing I have enjoyed your reviews on the GX2 and I am interested in how the torture test goes.
Looking good. I'm looking forward to the "take down" video, this looks like a good console/glove box item, I am kinda interested in the GX4 Carry too. I'll have to check these for size comparison and build quality. Thanks for the videos! 👍👍
Absolutely great series of videos Brother, LOVE the way you try explaining to the gun-snob hatters out here in the real world, that everybody simply can't afford the "more expensive" firearms goes way beyond the average gun-tuber video!! Very happy with your FULL explanations on WHY you do these videos. As I stated in previous comments, I probably have well over 2500 rds through the 6 Taurus handguns I now own WITHOUT a single hiccup!!! Are they the best pistols on the market, NO, BUT are they quality enough to get the job done at a price point nearly every red blooded American who wants one can afford? ABSOLUTLY!! I can, and will, WITHOUT RESERVATION recommend the the G3, G3c, the G2c and the TX 22!! I have yet to pick up a GX2 but you can bet I will be picking one up ASAP!! The price point on these handguns allow the casual shooter, the first time firearm purchaser, and the once or twice a year shooter to pick up a firearm that will be able to fulfill ALL the needs of these folks while also allowing them to purchase ammo and hopefully some training while staying within a budget that almost everybody can afford. And let me add this last, in my opinion, comment; my thought is simply this. The MORE ARMED Americans we, this once GREAT COUNTRY has, the better we all are, SIMPLE, PERIOD, END OF STORY!! Thank you again for mentioning Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!! Keep up the honest, transparent videos Brother, can't wait for the next one!!!
Most GX2 owners will never put 1000 rounds through this pistol. Many won't put 100 rounds through it. They'll buy a box or two of ammo, verify basic function and then put the gun into service as a Just In Case defense weapon, just as they have a fire extinguisher they hope never to use. Thank you for doing the 1000+ round testing early in the release of the GX2 so we know it's generally good to go.
@@GSquaredTactical - I bought a stainless GX2 so I won't worry about the "matte black" finish wearing off the "alloy steel" slide and the slide rusting in my back pocket. I've always appreciated Taurus for making good inexpensive pistols but I'd never bought a Taurus because they didn't tick all of my boxes until the GX2. Hopefully my GX2 will arrive soon.
Just because it cost more doesn't mean it's worth it. There's plenty of 400-$600 guns out there that won't make it to 1000 without issues. It's a solid firearm period Regardless of what it cost.
Looks like the GX2 may be as good as my Sigs P365 & P365XL. I've had to send both of them back to Sig 3 times EACH for repairs. My S&W Shield Plus has gone back twice for repairs. My Ruger LC9S Pro was replaced by Ruger after they could no longer fix it. My 1st Gen CZ P10C was replaced with a 2nd Gen P10C & is now reliable & durable, but the P10 series has a flawed trigger shoe & a 3rd party trigger shoe fixes the trigger safety dingess from hanging up on the frame. Loved this song much I bought the P10F, did the trigger upgrade, talon grips, a red dot, & after a thousand rounds or so got it ported. Have yet to do a competition with it being ported but am looking forward to next spring when IDPA and ASI competitions start up. Love your content & your message about the only one who can truly save us when we close our eyes for the last time.
I was looking at reviews on that zsr ammo earlier today and they were TERRIBLE!! Not only are they trash, but they're also dangerous and hazardous to your safety.
@@GSquaredTactical it's said that the brass is thinner than the standard and heats up a lot faster. Which causes it to jam a lot and have also been known to blow up a few firearms. The light primer strikes is also a very well-known issue with them as well. They are extremely cheap in cost which is very tempting, but they're cheap in quality as well and the risk is not worth the reward
right now your the best advertising Taurus has. if you did that with hi point then you would be the best salesman they have. what works effectively, efficiently, accurately sells. you might not totally recommend it but someone is probably going to by one tomorrow. 1000rounds. it is impressing .papa wishing you well 😊
Unfortunately, we have been seeing more and more RUclipsrs using old methods from traditional media to boost their channels. Dishonest RUclipsrs have been employing the tactic of creating sensationalist titles with intentionally controversial content to attract likes and comments, so that RUclips's algorithm spreads their videos and increases their audience. A writer, Noan Chonsick, explained that the product sold by the media, newspapers, and TV isn't the news; it's the audience. They create attractions, draw in the audience, and sell that audience to advertisers. It's sad to see this happening on RUclips and other social media platforms. @joshuasimmons6443 that’s a fact
The price of the Gun and 1000 rounds of training like $500 for the poor man ! Make it 200 rounds and price of a CCW now were $500 in !
👍🏻
Was that a light primer strike at 4:21?
Never mind I kept watching and you answered the question. It's crazy how much faith I have in my Taurus GX4 in this video just drives the point home!
Yeah some garbage ammo I’ve had issues with in other guns
Do you pick up your empty cases? You can sell them to reloaders or the scrap yard for good money.
For some reason it’s hard to sale the 9mm casings I’ve tried and have a few people. My 10mm, .40, .357 44 mag etc I do and sale to a reloader
Would you recommend the Taurus GX 2 or the Springfield Armory XD Mod 3?
IMHO mod 3 is a better value
