- Disney Pixar's upcoming movie Elemental has a brand new teaser! We're introduced to Ember, one of Elemental's main characters, as she boards a boat train and sees the residents of Element City. When Ember meets Wade, Pixar's new forbidden romance begins. Will Elemental be worth watching?
Disney Pixar has always been one of the best animation studios in the world, but they especially thrive in unique ideas and settings. Element City feels like its very own character, with so much to explore and not enough time to do so. Ember and Wade's adventure hits theaters in Summer 2023, promising another Pixar hit!

I really like the fact that the water people are not shying away from Ember, I was worried that this would take the obvious route of "Fire people and water people cant work together" given that one drop from Wade, can result in a type of cut too Ember, and that in a city where fire and water are together, it could easily cause problems, but who knows, maybe there's a whole story behind this world and how the elements came together, we will just have to wait to see.
If anything, Firefolk would be terrified of Waterfolk because of how dangerous they can be for them

I wouldn’t be too sure about that yet. Ember was the only Fire elemental on the entire train, and she was wearing a coat that concealed her element. As well, near the end of her walk you can see an Earth kid trying to hold her hand or something, only for her mom to pull him back. It’s because of these things that I’m pretty sure Wade being nice to Ember is just a Wade thing, not a species-wide trait.

What I find really interesting in this trailer is that Ember is the only fire elemental on the train. Perhaps fire elementals are rare, and there are only few that exist.
That’s really interesting, it’s like how in real life air, water and earth is always present but fire isn’t, maybe this relates to the story somehow!
I saw some comments from the original teaser saying how it might trying to go down the same Racism type situation Zootopia had. It could explain why Ember is wearing a hoodie, possibly a disguise or a way to hide herself from the public eye

It makes sense because the other elements get rid of fire

fire also burns up all of them (except water, which might be why the main characters like each other) so they're probably separated since fire doesn't mix with anything
Pixar is making all original film ideas and not making horrible sequels and live action remakes like other studios. The animation looks amazing and the story seems interesting so I will definitely be seeing this
Well Inside Out 2 is still happening and I think they should do both. Like release one original and one sequel every year.

A big problem i have with a lot of movie trailers nowadays is that they usually reveal so much about the movie that when you go to watch it, there are a lot less surprises and you may even predict where most of, if not the entire plot is going to go. I've come to prefer teaser trailers because they usually don't reveal much, yet they may interest you enough to find out what happens in the movie.
I really think Pixar is starting to find its footing! Light year was a miss for me, but I honestly felt that Pixar has been putting some great movies out! Soul, Luca, and Turning red have become some of my favorite Pixar movies from these past couple of years. I am confident that Elemental will be the same!

What I find gorgeous about this are the animation and visuals. Pixar, you’ve done it again! Elemental, I'm ready.
I’m happy the main character is a girl, cause most of the time, most Pixar films are about boys and while there’s nothing wrong with that, tbh we need more films about girls as girls are as good as boys, and I’m a boy myself but I still think girls deserve the spotlight as well.

I feel like the premise of this world fits in perfectly with pixar's standards. I'm unsure about the "romance" part of it, as pixar has never dove too deep into it, but I'm interested to see how it turns out.
But they have dived deep into romance, with the incredibles, wall-e, and the first few minutes of Up.

I mean, when not counting the shorts, this is Pixar’s second/third love story film. The first one being Wall-E, and maaaaybe Toy Story 4, since it revolves around Woody and Bo Peep and all. (And canonically, no, Luca doesn’t count, despite what some of its rabid fan base might insist.) Maybe this one might be well done?

Minority character arc?
Okay okay, check this out. I have a theory:
I think the fire elements live in an entirely different city, while the rest live together. Think about it. Fire is the most destructive element out of the four, the rest are mostly harmless. At least to EACH OTHER. Besides It'd be difficult for a fire element to live in a city with water elementals. So it's for their own safety as well. I don't think all fire elementals are just hot headed volcanoes, but are rather chill people who are aware of the damage they can cause if they're in the same area with the rest of the elementals.
Now I don't know why Ember was on that train, but she was probably granted special entrance to the train because she had to do something important. Most likely returning to the fire city. She WAS waiting in the other elementals' city after all.
Eh I could be wrong, but it seems likely.

I’m wondering why she’s the only fire element on the train. It might be like a predator vs prey type of concept like Zootopia where fire elements are less accepted and maybe even rare, but nobody seems to even acknowledge her so maybe not.
Man, I gotta tell you, I can't stop watching this teaser. It is really damn good, like, I've already watched it like six times in about 48 hours after it released, and I can't wait to see more of it

This Animation is the same as Soul and Turning Red so Pixar is making a lot of strides in his next animated projects. and more with the new Win Or Lose series.

The way how they reveal a small amount of world-building like the city makes you want to have MORE! Pixar is the GOAT when it comes to making dimensions! Heck, I belive that they even make more worlds for fun n their free time!
While I grew up with Pixar Movies like Cars, Toy Story, Wall-e, Monsters Inc, etc, It’s still fun to see Pixar make more movies as they continue. Of course Pixar shines better when they make Originals, (I still like some sequels) it’s fun to look at. This is some of Pixar’s best Animation I’ve seen, I got Soul Vibes from looking at this, I sure hope this movie will be good!
You see the texture of Amber’s hoodie? It closely resembles the look of colored Titanium, which if we take this in a scientific direction, would fit perfectly. Amber seems to have deep orange flames which have a temperature of about 1,100 degrees Celsius and Titanium has a melting point of 1,670 degrees Celsius.
I find it interesting how Ember is the only fire character we see, I wonder if it's just a coincidence or if there's something more behind it

I love how the contrasting elements don’t seem to hate eachother, or have a rivalry but stay away from eachother to avoid getting hurt.
I feel like it's gonna have a similar message to Zootopia. As Ember is walking by, you can see certain characters staring at her, and a dad pulling his son away from her. This hints that in the world of Elemental, certain elements, element bonds, and energies are seen as bad or destructive, such as fire. This will probably be similar to Zootopia, but I expect Pixar to execute this very differently.
I know it's still a while but Can't wait to watch this,This definently had Zootopia Vibes to it and as well as the incredible attention to detail and Creativity
Not to mention, it gives me reminders of Fireboy and Watergirl. Man, that was a classic in my childhood! Glad I grew up with it!

Anyone else notice how Wade’s voice sounds? At first, I assumed he was recording at home for some reason and had issues with the mic, but I actually just realized that it sounds like he’s underwater…
I feel kinda dumb for only realizing this now, but I loved the detail!
i noticed ember seems to be wearing metal in all of her appearances, and that’s a pretty cool detail, tbh.
Pixar is way better than for for making nostalgic masterpieces like this one. Congrats to Pixar!

One of the first things I noticed after watching the trailer is how there isn’t a single fire person aside from ember. The train boat is filled with JUST water, earth, and air people. Fire people dont appear outside the train either. I dont doubt that this is planned and not just a coincidence. Im actually certain that the lack of fire people like ember in this trailer is going to be an important part of her character and even more so the actual plot of the story. I have two ideas on how this will play out.
1. The creation of these “people” is not via intercourse but instead they are formed naturally through some sort of process thats cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 esque way. Fire people are rare and therefore important.
2. Fire people are outsiders and not many live in this city. Ember went on the boat train because they wanted to move to the big city instead of doing what most fire people do (whatever that may be) in a similar manner to Judy Hopps.
3. Basically ATLA where ember is the last fire person
As expected form Pixar, the film looks awesome. I can't wait to see it next year.
Teaser trailers aren’t meant to give away a lot of the movie. That’s kind of the point of it.

I wouldn’t be going around skipping and singing this movie’s praises just yet. As good as animation quality and world building is, the number one most important thing when making any story in any medium is that it has to be well written and the characters have to be engaging. Yes, this has all the potential to be great, but given Pixar’s recent track record, I’m not expecting anything above a D+

I'm honestly really looking forward to seeing more about this film, which I haven't said for any other pixar films before. I absolutely love the general vibe it's giving (the music used in the teaser and visuals just work so well together), it looks really promising from what we've seen so far!

This movie is directed by the director of The Good Dinosaur. Sure, his film bombed at the box office, but this film might get the luck. No straight to Disney+, Only in theatres (Unless, you people might be lazy to not watch it in theatres) and a combination of 2D animation with CG animation.
I'm already hearing theories that Ember is an outsider, since fire tends to destroy everything, and I don't want to know what happens if she falls off the bus into the water. 😬

Right when I saw the trailer (not gonna lie), I kinda went like, oh it’s the cliche “2 opposites fall in love” story and I went “um, original alright”. I just felt like that everybody had done that kind of story before, but maybe it’s just me.
the animation is “fire 🔥🔥🔥” though. (no pun intended) I was impressed, just as always. Plus the song used I’ve been jamming to that for like a year.

I don't know... it seems sorta basic and feels like what we saw in the trailer is all we are going to be seeing throughout the movie, just like gags u guess. Even elemental city doesn't really give you much to go off of other than just a bunch of elements. Maybe I'll be wrong, maybe there's a hidden message even in there but I'm not entirely excited

The water people look... strange. Like they haven't been animated properly? This animation style is very new for Pixar, which I think is why it looks so off for me, but I really like the amount of world building they do in that one minute
Couldn’t help but notice that it seems that the Train is full of non harmful elements, mainly Air, Water and Nature. Yet other than Ember I don’t see any other Fire based being. I have a sneaky suspicion that I’m this film all elements are allowed but those primarily made of fire aren’t necessarily welcomed.

I was lucky enough to see footage of this movie at D23. And the trailer is very captivating and alluring.
I just hope this is theatrical as Pixar CCO Pete Doctor promised at D23 and as Disney CEO Bob Chapek said it would be during the Q4 2022 Disney earnings call. They need to see that animation has value on the big screen.
They just gotta market it great and get people to go see it. Same with Disney’s Wish.
