I was hoping you’d review your new pack at some point. I’ve been contemplating buying [and crying] this Lite AF pack sometime soon. Your review helps a lot!
This upcoming spring I want to buy a backpack. My question to you is which did you like better the Lite AF or the Z Packs Arc Blast? I am looking to possibly buy one.
You are so right about the inconsistent pack sizing used by different manufacturers. I wish they would would all use a labeling scheme like "40+15", meaning 40 in the main compartment and 15 in the supplemental pockets. Sadly, that will never happen. So we should all be thankful for good reviews!
This is really SWEET bud. I'm waiting on mine from Hilltop but this was my second choice due to wait time (which didn't end up mattering). Lol. Really really nice.
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't hear anything about how well the pack carries the load (other than that 35 pounds made your shoulders sore). If you could say more about how well a lighter load felt on your shoulders and back, and about whether this lightweight pack provides sufficient structure, I'd appreciate it.
Good structure. Lighter weights were fine. This video is a little dated. Their packs have changed some. I honestly think I mismeasured and should have bought one with a longer torso.
Thanks for posting your review. FYI I have the same pack and used the front Lycra pockets on shoulder straps to carry a full 1L bottle. The lead time is now “only “ 12 weeks. I’m pretty sure you could have gotten the front pocket in the mesh. More durable, but doesn’t hold as much.
Thanks. I had never had the Lycra before so I didn’t know better. We will see long term how it holds up. I will be more careful with it too. They changed the lead times right after I put the video out. Thanks for watching!
Rob, great review! I have the same pack, different colors and the hip belt pockets. I do not like the size of the hip belt pockets and I do not like the draw strings on the side pockets. Other than those two items I absolutely love my Lite AF Pack 1000% better than my ZPacks Arc Haul. This Lite AF Pack carries so comfortable, but I carry around 22 pounds at the heaviest. I will never use all the space this pack provides. Happy Hiking!
Good video , but that code doesn't work anymore...

Pilgrim UL is my pack of choice now.
Are the water bottle pockets easier to reach than in the Z-packs Arc Haul? That is one thing I hate about that pack.

Good review. I've had zpacks packs for 3 years but that looks like its really good
Just got mine in the mail yesterday 😍 can't wait to get it on the trail!

This a great sweet review. All the details. Really considering this pack and this helped a lot. Thank you!

Wow 30lbs!!! And you were a lean guy to begin with. How did you do it?
Less carbs, no snacks, lots of exercise!
What about the 'curve' cut of the bag? How does it feel? Is it more comfortable than a straight cut bag?
I have the same pack and I find it more form fitting, making it more comfortable.

Rob? Oof. 🤭😜 Thanks for watching.
@@MidwestBackpacker LOL! I meant Jeremy! Somehow I was thinking of my friend Rob when I was typing Jeremy and typed Rob. Old age man is tough!
Hello! What is your torso length and what size pack do you have? Thanks!
I measured 20.5 -21” and got a medium. Wish I would have gotten a large.
@@MidwestBackpacker but it looks like the pack fits you perfectly
Did you have any trouble w/the aluminum stays ? I have seen/heard from others that they can break through &/or come out ? Any difficulties ?
I have had no problems. With the pad in the back, I forgot they were even in there.
