It’s where the missing episodes went. The missing three episodes for a complete season of ten episodes. (13 episodes was a season back in the day) The character development of Diana losing her fear is what’s missing. She’s comes across a bit schizophrenic, waffling and then total bad ass.
I really enjoyed A Discovery of Witches and was soo sorry to see it end. Maybe the writers can write more adventures for Diana and Matthew to share with us. Here's hoping.
I definitely enjoyed it, but I felt like the show could have added another episode or two to explain bit more on the situation. Then again, still good.
I will be shortchanged buying this season. Such a disappointment to get only seven episodes. 65% of the book didn’t make Season 3. The last episode seems like the writers had a full bladder and had to wrap things up quickly.
The entire episode was rushed. Whole episodes could’ve been made from each of the major scenes. For example: in season one, an entire episode was made about the rescue of Diana from Satu and Gerbert. Couldn’t they have done the same thing for Matthew in season three? Another example would be that the entire show formed around the relationship of Diana and Matthew and the book of life so, why would they only have about 15 minutes to show the entirety of what the book of life is? Also, will there be a companion series because the ending has left us with so many questions. What happens with the congregation with Agatha as a leader? What judgment comes to Gerbert? What happens with Matthew and Diana and the babies? What happens with Marcus and Phoebe? What happens with what seems to be a budding romance between Miranda and Chris?
The last season had to be shortened to 7 episodes due to covid and because the actress playing Diana was pregnant. Considering all the obstacles and rules put In place during the pandemic I think they did a great job of wrapping it up. I wish it had been more but I’m grateful for what we got.
What did you think of the final episode?!
