It's great seeing you react to Wagakki band, they are one of my absolute favorites! Since you asked I thought I'd give a brief summary on the history of some of the instruments they play. -The Taiko (Drum) has been around Japan for thousands of years and originated from similar chinnese and Korean drums in the 6th century. The Taiko has been used for many different things such as military, theater, religious ceremonies and festivals such as obon. You will also commonly see a tomoe or swirl like pattern on the drum head of many taiko. This is a kamon or family crest/symbol by the name of mitsudomoe. The mitsudomoe is closely related to both Shintoism and Buddhism and is thought to represent the cycle of life in Buddhism. -Shamisen (three stringed Guitar) The shamisen is a bit newer, originating in around the 16th century and it also has some deep chinnese influence. It has been played by geisha for entertainment and is also used in theater like Kabuki and bunraku. -The Koto (Japanese harp) The Koto also originated from China and was fully introduced to Japan in the 8th century. It was used as entertainment in the imperial courts and later on became popular amongst Buddhist monks. -Shakuhachi (Japanese wood flute) The Shakuhachi came from you guessed it China lol (you'll find that's where many of our cultural influences come from www!) The shakuhachi came to Japan from the 7th-8th century and then became a staple of Buddhism. It was used as a religious tool in many ceremonies etc. Fast forward to the 19th century and the shakuhachi joined the shamisen and koto, often being played together in live performance. I hope you found some of this information intressting and helpful!
Thanks for your reaction video💕 Actually, their whole new album “Tokyo singing” (include this song) is talking about how we live in this world, in these days.🥰
For a moment, when you were talking about how some songs were inspirational and some were damaging to young people, you looked and sounded like a father. Thanks for the precious message. Great reaction.
Good reaction, glad you like it. The first songs after they started are adapted from vocaloid. After the first album, they have written the songs of their own. 6 album totaly. You have to choose Live performance. Wagakki bands are always best live. "Shigin" singer Yuku the founder of the band had a dream of a Rock band playing a mix of Japanese traditional music and modern rock / metal. They probably move towards more j-pop in some new songs. Yuko Suzuhana - vocals Machiya - guitarthe Beni Ninagawa - tsugaru shamisen Kiyoshi Ibukuro - koto Asa - bass 6 string Daisuke Kaminaga - shakuhachi Wasabi - drums Kurona - wadaiko try "Izana" "ignite" or "kagerou" Pick live concert, always best. They have also collaborated with Amy Lee from EVANESCENCE where they perform "Bring me to life" Wagakki Band Premium Symphonic Night Vol.2 Greetings from Norway
