In the ancient norwegian folk dance "lausdans" the climax is known as "hallingkast", where the dancer will leap backwards and around, and with a scissor-kick (?) try to kick a hat off a rod (usually held by a girl). The highest documented hallingkast was 2,80 meters above ground. Also in context of "americanisation" of norwegian and international culture through TV and fashion etc. If you want to see hallingkast, just search on youtube.

In Norwegian culture there's a dance called Hallingdans (Halling dance), where the guys dress up in a bunad (Norwegian folk costume) and dance to fiddle music (Hardanger fiddle, actually). The highlight of the Halling dance is when a guy jumps up and try to kick a hat off a stick being held high up in the air. In this video they replaced the fiddle with hip hop and the hat with a burger :p
