Enjoyed this video, cheers. On fellwaters, given that maybe even more than last edition Gitz are about combos and stacks of buffs/debuffs they’re a helpful addition to the list’s alchemy. So A is about right.

Also I’d put snufflaz in A for the same reason. Gitz are a mad scientist faction and it feels like snufflaz are a vital part of the chemistry.

The issue with fellwaters is who do they support?
Best way to apply the debuff is sticking them behind an anvil or screen, tanking the hit, then shooting, but who are they supporting?
Rockguts don't need the rend, squigs are too fast/can't take a hit. So maybe stabbas? The use case just seems way too niche.

Loonboss on squig should be lower. He gives a +1 to hit buff, but it only affects the rider attacks which makes him pretty iffy imo.
I think you just run hoppers + squigboss instead.

Makes me sad that they won't make spiders good. Such a cool concept, who doesn't want an army of giant spiders? And yet here we are.

Well, I mean I just got second place in a 32 man tourny (one day, so 3 matches not 5), won all.
    And mostly used B & F tier units with 35% S & A.
Huge blocks of stabbas, small shoota unit, sneaky snufflers, Loonboss, Sporesplatta, Squigboss with Gnasha Squig.
But I did bring Gobbapalooza, Fungoid, Loonsmasha fanatics, Boingrots, too.
My point beeing, I agree with tier list from A to F "Mostly".
But the internal balance as you said isn't as bad as you think, B tier units aren't far from A tier units, S are strong, but not leages ahead of A either, Many of the F tier units are actully quite decent, so I'd rate most of it C rather then F
Then move Spiderfang stuff from B & to F, only thing I'd keep in C from spiderfang is the small foot wizard (but a big maybe pick still with drops and such.

      I don't use a C tier, so I don't know what you mean, exactly.
I do get the point that internal balance isn't a bad as I think. Are Rockgutz just an outlier in your opinion?

    • @PannkakaMedSylt
      @PannkakaMedSylt 18 дней назад

@@MossDogAoS No no, I mean I used mostly C tier in a tournament the other weekend without rockgutz and came second place out of 32 players.
Rockgutz is deffinetly a tier ABOVE S tier, but rest from S to F aren't as far apart in strengh (Basically internal balance isn't TOO bad).
The only real outlier like you mentioned is Rockgutz, & Spiderfang overall is pretty BAD, but Normal stabbas, shootas, sneaky snufflers, Squigboss with Gnasha Squish, they are all pretty good, Not Rockgutz "AMAZING", but still competativly viable :)

It might be controversial, but I think hoppers are FAR better than bounderz this edition. Sure the hoppers cost a bit more, but the output is similar and hoppers take buffs better while being way more durable and faster. Hoppers outdamage bounderz when you factor in squigboss or the squig subfaction (barring the impact mortals vs high saves). And always outdamage them if you aren't charging.
To me bounderz are B-tier, made of paper, not fast enough, and weak impact hits (d3 for the whole unit).
Snufflers are definitely A-tier. They pair super well with hoppers (40 wounds on a 5++) which enables them to do retreat mortals.
Also a must have if you do run heavy stabba lists (still 40w on a 5++) and they make a decent screen in a pinch. Although i'm not sold on stabbas.

Have you broken these down into damage per point? You would have to include the cost of the squigboss if so.
Ive had similar thoughts, but haven't done the math myself.

@@MossDogAoS with the squigboss and the subfaction it favors hoppers slightly but the impact hits tip it in the bounderz favor for unreinforced units.
I think its the other traits like wounds, speed, and unit size that make hoppers better imo.

@@davidcampbell621 very well could be the case. Maybe they deserve a tier higher.

Also, fellwater ability for noxious vomit got way more reliable now that it’s d3 attacks instead of damage. Like twice as good

I think the Mangler boss still has some play. His once per game buff is great for other squigs, and fight another day on a turn he charges allows him to bounce out and choose his pile in and attack more carefully. That heroic trait and the KB one of similar function are supremely tactical

First! And I’m pleasantly surprised at the placing of the mangler squigs! I have yet to try em out but I’m glad that you think that they can work with proper investment…I initially thought manglers would be F tier 😅
