I cry everytime I hear this beautiful lady sing this song like an angel
Still listening in 2024
A beautiful song from 1957 written by songwriting duo Jay Livingston and Ray Evans that America's forever sweetheart made her very own! RIP Debbie...you are so missed. ❤
Beautiful pure feminine voice, no over singing, sounds like a beautiful lady and has the ability to move someone. Young/younger female singers might take note. They don't compare and never will, because to sound like this is not technique, it is character, wisdom and heart.
I love this song, movie & Debbie Reynolds. The movie came out in 1957 & I was born in 1958 & that's how I got my name! I always loved her & cried when she died.
Coincidentally I was also born in 58. I to Truely Loved that movie & especially the Song & entire Sound trk. When Debbie passed we Simple Human Beings. Lost One Our Angels 💗😇😇✌️✌️💗💗👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏.
I was born in 57 the year this came out. It still moves me to tears. Thanks Debbie.
I was named after this song :) My parents saw this movie on their first date.
I named my daughter. TAMMY because of this song. 1965

she never stopped being beautiful .. rest in peace, beautiful lady
Debbie Reynolds has always looked beautiful!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful song.
My favorite Debbie Reynolds song
When Debbie sang this song in the movie I swear she was saying what every young girl who's ever been in love was feeling. Her face and voice portrayed every emotion they possibly could back then and even on this stage.
When the movie first came to the theater I fell in Love with Tammy (Debby). I will always remember how I felt when I saw the seen with her sitting and looking out the window singing 'Tammy'. I am 80 years young and still have that feeling when I hear Debby sing.🤠
A much loved and appreciated member of the Hollywood Film industry! RIP Debbie
Gives me goose bumps. Such a better time when she originally sang this song. I love it.

my sister who is 24 loves that song
Just as beautiful as hearing it for the 1st time.
What a beautiful, beautiful woman.
I really can't understand why so many women of a certain age (most often the younger than the older ones), need to have their lives surgically taken out of their faces. The sad thing is, it's usually exactly those who don't need it at all, who do it. Megan Fox for example, she was such a naturally beautiful woman and when she still was very young, she started to change her natural beauty into this artificial one. giving up her individuality. And unfortunately she is only one example of many.
This woman right here, I don't know if she had plastic surgery. I would first say no. If she had, maybe only minimally. Her face, at least, seems to me, if she didn't have one. She looks SO beautiful. Her charisma is incredible. And that comes from LIFE. No plastic surgery in the world can conjure up beauty on your face, like life does. You can see in this beautiful face of this woman, a maturity that has something enchanting. Life has made this woman beautiful inside and out and it seems to me that life wants to show us through this charismatic beauty that only a person who has developed into a beautiful person on the inside looks like that on the outside. As if it's recognizable who she is.. As if life speaks to us through her faces' beauty.
And when I look at this face, I can only conclude that she is a beautiful person on the inside. I really can't imagine it any other way, with the charisma she has.
Please women of this world, reconsider your ideal of beauty. Here in this video you can see real and true beauty.
Debbie Reynolds is a class act!
Such a legend, well missed.
Music by Jay Livingston and Lyrics by Ray Evans who wrote the Bonanza and Mister Ed theme songs. They also wrote 'Silver Bells', 'Mona Lisa', 'Que Será Será', 'Cara Mia', 'Caterina', 'Easy Come, Easy Go', 'Buttons and Bows', 'Living In America', 'Malagueña', 'My Own True Love', and a lot more!

I heard this beautiful song again only recently and thank you for uploading this superb performance. Her interpretation includes additional interpretation which is so refined and so superbly executed and accompanied by the piano I get a sense this was after many performances over many years.

Was Jane Powell, Debbie Reynolds's understudy. Because they look very similar back in the day, only Debbie Reynolds's was a little higher than Jane Powell's was.
