Buddy of mine has one of the Gates Schecters and I gotta say. Visually it is a LOT but man it's an incredible guitar. The neck profile and the balance on it are superb. Try one out if you can, it's a very baffling guitar lol.
I love the body shape of the Synyster Gates guitar but I agree, the inlays & the headstock take soooooo much style from it.

I 1000% agree about the Syn. Around the LBC days, I fell into the rabbit hole with Avenged and it became one of my dream guitars. I used all of my high school graduation money to watch them play with Metallica and bought one. I don’t care for a lot about it visually, but the body shape and the playability of the guitar still makes it my favorite.
I snagged a Synyster Gates for 500 shipped with an all brass floyd upgrade, easily the nicest guitar I own. I would never play it out or play it live, but I got a great deal on it, and they play and sound top tier. I absolutely agree about all the Avenged Sevenfold logo stuff, once you get past that, it's honestly an A or S rank guitar for me, no question. Again, I'm not even an Avenged Sevenfold fan. You can score really good deals on them, if it's not something you play out, why not? It's my go to recording guitar as well.

I remember being about 11-14 and I adored the Schecter Synyster. The pinstripes and horned headstock still do it for me, but in terms of aesthetic the fretboard has far too much going on. Live forever Ray, thanks for the upload
I got one for cheap, they're really nice, well made guitars. You can get really good deals on them used too because they really don't sell on the secondhand market. I got one with a brass floyd and a case for 500 shipped. I'm not even an Avenged Sevenfold fan by any stretch, either.

I know it’s not for you, and I totally understand, however, the alexi laiho pink sawtooth is my dream guitar of all time, I want one so bad. I am not a fan of Floyd’s at all, but the only exception to this is if I can get the pink sawtooth, or even just an esp sv standard that I can mod to be a double humbucker version of his, I’ll be getting it
The Misha Juggernaut 6 and 7 string guitars are ones I've wanted to vet my hands on for a long time.
I don't usually go for signature guitars, but I'm so glad I own a Schecter KM7 MKIII (artist, trans black)

I like the Josh Smith sig, but man, the value proposition is just hard to see. Can get a similarly (arguably better due to stainless frets) specced guitar from LTD or Schecter for like $1000+ less.
I think there's a John 5 Tele Deluxe with 3 humbuckers and the oversized 70s headstock. It's sick.
I was hoping to see the PRS Tremonti on here. I've never owned one but I have a 245 se. I wouldn't mind trying the 25" scale on the Tremonti but the 245 is a great guitar. I just couldn't choose the floating trem bridge as I'm into riffs and haven't yet tried exploring the lead soloing stuff. One of these days I'll get it once I learn how to play more solos. John 5 did have a 400 dollar squier version of his sig that sounded decent. Also the Jerry Cantrell wino is the LP I most want to try because of the pick up. The 498 is one of the best sounding Gibson pick ups and the import version sounds good from what I've heard. But I really want a silverburst Epiphone LP custom. juggernaut is a guitar I just wish I could find in a store to try. None of the stores here in 5 years have ever had one.
I dunno how many people are in the same boat, but with the market being dominated by strats and Les Pauls, things like explorers, Vs and icemans end up being more precious, and a lot of the time the people who use them are also really memorable: Hetfield, Brendon small, Malakian and thordendal. They stick out so much on stage and add a lot to the image of a band. But then again the music is the thing that we end up listening to, but going further into a band you probably end up liking what your favorite player uses.
I see your point on the synyster gates guitar man. I own one and it is an amazing guitar. But I can see someone not wanting it cause it’s too much of a “signature”.
I kinda disagree. While i don't have any problem with that guitar looking like the way it is, it's what he designed. I get that some people find it too much and that's okay, not everyone has the same taste ( ie: i don't like headless guitars at all). If i were to have a guitar that i can say it's "mine" or to customize it in a certain way, i definitely wouldn't buy a signature, because to me those guitar are what the artists wanted them to look like. Changing in that would take away from the guitar (to me at least). I'm not saying every signature guitar should look over the top, but some are so bland looking that i didn't even know they were signature in the first place. Not saying that as a negative thing.
@@gergoretvari6373 oh yeah I get exactly what you mean. I buy signature guitars because I love that artist. I own a synyster gates, a zacky vengeance, and a Michael Paget signature and they’re amazing.

dude. cool. check out the Kramer Baretta Special made in Indonesia. Trying to spread the tag: #PurpleBaretta. For 200 USD this thing punches above it's weight. If they ever stop making them in Indonesia, I predict it will be a sought after guitar on the used market. The consensus is the light weight ones are the best sounding ones. They seem to have the nice high gain pickup. 1 volume. 1 humbucker of awesome. Stays in tune. Sounds awesome. Fun to play.
Honestly with the Synyster Gates guitar that's like the ultimate shred guitar of shred guitars lmao so given that you're not necessarily into physically playing all that shredding it makes sense you wouldn't be looking into one of those, but you gotta admit it looks cool when Synyster plays it ;)
