Logan Frey such an underrated band. Wish they would’ve kept going as XXI, but most of them are better off outside of rock music. One of them is still doing metalcore, but Carson (drums (as A Feast for Kings) and vocals (XXI)) and Seth (guitar and clean vocals) are now in country and worship music respectively.

I remember one time at my church my pastor actually played a song of theirs and all the old people freakkkked out but his message was not to judge on first appearance or your personal feelings which is exactly what one might think when they hear this type of music. I grew some more respect for him that day.

haste the day is very christian and heavy as fuck too. also has some singing vibes. Have had 2 different screamers / singer both dope as fuck. their best album is a live collaboration called haste the day vs haste the day. the distortion is rough in the beginning but it features everyone who has ever played in the bad. My favorite album is pressure the hinges. It was stephen keech's first album with the band. Every album they made has 3 - 4 bangers.
I went to see The Devil Wears Prada (another Christian band) 10 years ago and these guys headlined I think? They gave a little sermon type thing which is very uncommon for Christian metalcore bands. Like, you knew these guys were about their beliefs. But then they proceeded to tear it up with this song. Even my atheist friend moshed to it.
Meeting mattie was a dope day, got to hang out with him and had in n out together with tommy green from sleeping giant (another christian metalcore band). We talked about music and ministry. They broke the band up to follow their ministry callings, same for sleeping giant. Sleeping giant would be a dope band to react to as well, the song “blame it on the holly rollers” is a banger!
