Also can we just take a moment to appreciate Taabe?? With the little info he had on it he did SO well!!!

"...we barely got them rabbits." 😆😆
She tried lol
If you notice this Predator looks different than the others, it’s stated by the director this Predator came from a much hotter environment on the Predator homeworld, sorta like how a persons body changes when living and adapting to completely different environments.
“You should have listened to my story.”
-Taabe
Many thanks for your reaction. Keep on keeping on and Gritos from Tejas.
“This is as far as you go… no more! This is it!”
Remember when her brother brought the cougar home ,he wore its blood on his face. BTW, this was his first acting gig. Got to love that Comanche alarm clock.
This was BY FAR the best Predator movie in the series. The score, the cinematography, the storyline. I love that the protagonist is a female and she uses her brains by learning about the Predator little by little just by observing its habits. It beat him with her smarts and dedication than just brawn and fire power. Also has so manny callbacks to the original movie and also Predator 2 with the gun.
It's marginally better than Pred 2 but hey it's perfectly fine to be wrong.
@@SchwarzerHaufen Whatever you say "Listening Man." Fckn lame 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Legit reaction. Move is legit
hehe, imagine if that glowing blood was highly radioactive ; ).
It bugs me that in so many reactions to Prey, most don't watch the end credit animation.
Love your reactions,, none the least
I’m notorious for missing those 😩 I’m sorry
@@NiaMakiReacts still look forward to your next reaction
I’d never seen the young girl watching her at the end. That was a good touch.
Yeah it was a cute moment 💕
There. Was a bonus scene at the very end that you missed.
The Ship came back and dropped more Predators.
That statement doesn't mean that a predator has been here before this time or it's from now and it refers to this story
Please react to :
★ *Alien³ (1992)*
★ *Alien Resurrection (1997)*
★ *Predators (2010)*
and then
★ *Alien vs. Predator (2004)*
Alien resurrection sucked it was so dark for most of the movie you could barely see it.
Best predator movie so far.
I love how desensitized Nia has become to violence in movies. That net making French Cubes and Nia just goes, "Oh my!"
What a fun, awesome surprise this film turned out to be.
I walked in not expecting much, after the last couple of Predator films, and only saw it because the reviews were all surprisingly good.
I honestly think this is the best one in the franchise since the first film.
Let's go, definitely the 2nd best Pred movie the original is still number 1 imo
Hi Nia , I enjoyed your reaction to Prey as much as aliens and predator 1 and 2 you already reaction.
Yes The gun is from predator 2 that mike got.
Also since you release your reaction today on April 26 It's actually Naru actress Amber Midthunder It's her birthday🎉🎂
You release your reaction to her movie on her birthday.
I hope you watch predators 3 and 4 from 2010 2018 you'll love them some people don't like them but give it a try because it's more predators.
Thanks for watching this movie.💚
Amber Midthunder's birthday is on Alien Day?! Wow!
@@jeremywagler3426 Yeah I know right she released her reaction to her movie on her birthday today. Is so cool right
So, cinematically speaking, this is the first time the Predator has come to Earth. It retcons a lot of other media, including the Alien v Predator films.
Ohhhhhhh thanks cleaning that up
That's not correct. Even in this movie, they say that the Yautja have been there before. I'll also add that AvP is not cannon in either Predator or Alien franchise. They're more like "What If?" stories.
@@Hal2718 no. They never say they've been to Earth before in the movie. They only only talk of some creature from a children's story, and earlier on she talks of a sign "the thunderbird." Even early on it was advertised as their first trip to Earth.
@@FLQueerLiberal1982 In AVP they make it perfectly clear that the Aliens and Predators have been battling on earth at least since the time of the pyramid builders.
@@Fred-vy1hm yes, but it's not canon. Even Prometheus made AvP no longer canon. AvP is like DC Comics' Elseworlds comic books and films.
Amber Midthunder, her eyes in the scenes, what a great actress.
You are one of the very few reactors who watched this movie that caught on early the yellow plant would be used to cool her body temp down, thus allowing her to hide from the predator. You get an A+ for this one! Great reaction. Thank you!
Orange totsiyaa
in the first Predator movie, Arnold didnt win in a hand to hand fight, he had to find out how to be unseen, but he did that by chance, and use guerilla tactics, by setting traps, weaken it and ambush it, which is the very same tactics used in this movie... we were kinda told that she's observant in the start of the movie, and that she is as she saw what the meds did, and how the mask and weapon works... it's some nice callbacks, even with the mud, tho she dont use that to hide...
You skipped the end credits, which show the tribe’s history paintings showing the predator ships returning ! This teases a follow-up movie which could show how the flintlock again comes into the Predators’ possession so it can show up again in Predator 2.
Nice. She “Red Octobered” the Predator 😂
I’m not sure what that means; but yeah she did! Lol
@@NiaMakiReactsno spoilers. You should react to The Hunt for Red October.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now you need to react to Alien 3.
Thanks for bringing this back to my attention, I always get confused with where people tell me to stop! I’ll check it out!
@@NiaMakiReacts I personally like to watch all movies in a series, even if they may have a few bad CGI scenes in them. I just love to learn more about the lore behind them.
40:05 With a tribal yell of victory! So awesome
I think her reaction to her brother killing the lion was envy, but I also think the reason she was so upset was because they all believed 'threat is over, no more lion' when she knew that the predator was out there and was still a possible threat, yet no one was really listening to her or still taking her seriously
but honestly I thought Naru's character was pretty interesting and realistic and it was nice to see the character growth
Love the reaction!
I think Naru was a little envious of Taabe, while also being frustrated that no one was listening about the Predator. I also think Naru hitting her head on the rock scared Taabe. I think that’s why he didn’t tell anyone that she’d actually wounded the lion with the spear before she fell.
This Predator is a different ethnicity than the ones we’re used to. It’s from a desert climate so they’re built a bit differently, the religion’s a little different I believe, and they use more rudimentary tech.
No one knows if Alien vs Predator is included in the main franchise or not. Ridley Scott seems to consider the idea sacrilegious but that’s too bad. If we include it, Prey is the earliest we see the predators in the series. But lore-wise, the Predators have been coming to Earth since civilization began.
And even if we don’t include A vs P, I’d say it’s still implied in Prey that they’d been to earth before. And it’s not just cuz of the mythical monster they talked about. I highly doubt they’d just drop a young predator on a completely random planet they’d never been too before. We also know aliens exist cuz of the skulls in Predator 2.
Alien’s complicated because Ridley Scott only considers the films he made to be canon. But I don’t think we see any predators in a film that’s solely about the Aliens. I’d say they don’t exist there. And in Aliens, the Humans have been to other planets and mingled with aliens that aren’t xenomorphs. There’s mentions of an intersex race of aliens that “mix” with humans in the second film. So they would’ve probably ran into the predators if they existed.
Amber Midthunder gave a beast of a performance
You have to watch the ending credits. The drawings tell the remaining story
Alien Vs. Predator is a great movie! It was definitely a point of inspiration for Prey. It messes with the lore a whole lot but it's a fun Action/Suspense movie with both franchises colliding.
22:45 if ur head is high enough to u to see the predator and take a shot then yes, he definitely can
26:20 Let the games begin
41:34 finish the picture show, it teases something
Can you believe some fans criticized this as being "woke" (like that's bad thing, necessarily), and the lead character as being a Mary Sue? She's a smart capable woman who learns what it takes to defeat the Predator throughout the film.
Mannnn, if it came out 10 years ago people wouldn’t have complained about that! This was well done!
Agreed. She definitely was not a Mary Sue. She made mistakes, learned from them, and earned her victory.
This was also released in Comanche (same movie, just dubbed in Comanche). I personally think it's better than hearing them speak modern English. Also, if you watch the animated drawings during the credits, it teases a sequel!
I love the AvP movie, its so much fun. Do not skip out on it! Definitely worth a watch at least once. Regardless, have been enjoying youre reactions. Thank youuu :)
14:38 Yikes! 😂
27:32 The line from the first film! So satisfying 😌
16:45 I like how you pick up things really quickly! 🙏🏽💪
40:48 👀💪
This is a Yaujta predator from more arid locations on his homeworld. like a casucasian guy vs an arabic guys features..
Oooh!!! Is that referenced in other movies?
@@NiaMakiReacts its referenced by the director and franchise heads! Its also on the lore in the dedicated websites.
This yautja is from arid climate hence the difference in facial features, skin and dreads thickness etc
36:56 Let the battle begin! 🙏🏽💪
18:22 Outstanding! 💪
Alien vs Predator is seen as a bad movie by fans because it canonically doesn't make sense, isn't historically accurate and doesn't get you attached to the main characters like other movies in the franchises--BUT if you just enjoy it for the monster mashup that it is its hella fun. As a movie it has also aged really well because the cinematography is great and they used a lot of practical effects. There's also an actor in AvP that was in the first live-action Resident Evil movie two years earlier, and if can spot them and compare their roles in both movies you will discover a WILD fun fact.
Edit: Also, another fun fact is that a couple details in AvP got incorporated into Dead by Daylight when they introduced the Xenomorph as a new killer.
Ah ok! So just set expectations beforehand that it’s just action n visuals n don’t think too deeply! That’s fine by me! My brain needs a break at times 😂
Honestly I would suggest going through the good movies first and then walk the path if declining quality ;) so you have the ones who are good covered before you might ask yourself why people care xD
So far, you are on a good track ;)
Can you PLZ watch/react to 2010 "Predators". Reactors always skip that underrated classic for some reason.
Great reaction. You missed out not watching the end credits though.
Hello Nia
Hello 😊
I remember reading that her dog was a rescue that learned how to act on this movie…the real MVP.
21:36 IT HAS BEGAN
The reason the predator looks different is because it's a subspecies of yautja there know as ferals.
Hi Nia, glad to see you finally get to this one!😊 I didn't want to give anything away in other Predator film comments saying that this was an excellent film. The director of this wants to stay on making more Predator films in a direction we haven't seen with the first two films. Whether that is seeing the Predator in different times on Earth or learning where they are from, he hasn't said. While it is not a great film, I do recommend "Alien vs. Predator" (2004) because it is the best film to show these two creatures against each other. The overall story is not bad, but It is a bit corny at times, but I think it is worth reacting to. I have seen all the other Predator films. Great emotional reactions to this well made Predator prequel, Nia!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 Have a great weekend!!!😊
Nia, please watch Outlander (2008) on this channel. It's my favorite human vs alien movie. Starring Jim Caviezel and Jack Huston. It's more to vikings vs alien story.
Keanu just chillin, but with the laser eye going most of the time.
Perfect Timing hope ya find the Easter 🐣 Eggs
Oh dang, not sure if I found any 😂
@@NiaMakiReacts The "If it bleeds, we can kill it". Arnie says it in the first Predator. Same with the "Come on. Do it" while backed up against a tree. And of course the flintlock pistol is the one from Predator 2. I read somewhere that in one of the earliest drafts of the script, Taabe had a horse named Chopper and they were going to have him yell "Go! Get to Chopper!" at some point. Thankfully they realized how cheesy it was, and removed it.
You're watching Buffy? How far into it are you? Wish it was on your RUclips lol
40:04 Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌
Love this movie. I like AVP, I think you'll probably like it. AVP2 is a lot of fun for me because I used to live in Gunnison when I was little. So I'm always blown away by the ending.
This is my second favorite, the OG is first
There's a sequel to this in the works
Probably my favorite Predator movie after the original.
21:15 👀 👀
The pistol that she had in the end was the same one the Predator in Predator 2 gave Danny Glover's character at the end of that movie, so, therefore you must assume that the Predators came back some time later in her history to get that pistol.
"Predators", and "alien 2". Never stop being adorable.
(This is the first time) The upcoming "Alien" Hulu show is retconning the PRometheus/Covenant so that David just made his own version, not invented the xenomorph, and is going to follow the "Aliens vs Predators" lore where they fight at the pyramids and destroy themselves confirming, yes "Prey" isn't the first time. Unless that's being retconned too?
*Alien vs Predator next?*
Lol your cute with you taughts, great reaction 👌✌
Great reaction Nia like always, i love this movie its easily the best film in the Predator franchise since the original, this prequel is brilliantly directed by Dan Trachtenberg, with a home run of a star turn by Native American actor Amber Midthunder. Did you know that there are 2 versions of this movie the original one is entirely in the Comanche Language, during production is if the Comanche Nation should communicate in their native language with English subtitles or if an English-speaking version of the film would be more palatable. This strategy never felt natural, and instead, Trachtenberg shot the film in both Comanche and English. As a result, audiences will have the option of what language they want to watch the film in, which is also a first for Comanche accessibility. The pistol seen in this movie is the same one from Predator 2,
The lead Predator identified as "Greyback" tosses Harrigan a flintlock pistol and says "Take it". The pistol bears the name Raphael Adolini with the year 1715 etched below it. Additionally, in this movie final act, the pistol comes into Naru's possession from Raphael Adolini (Bennett Taylor), Honor is central to the Yautja culture, with the flintlock pistol being a token of Greyback's respect to Harrigan, and the passing of such trophies from Predators to humans being a traditional show of warrior kinship in such situations. Keep up the good work.
Oh wow! I didn’t know there was an option!!!! That’s really cool, kinda wanna see the differences in how they were shot. I didn’t even know the predators names!! Where can we find those details? Did I miss them in the movies?
@@NiaMakiReacts Greyback from Predator 2 is probably the most well known Predator Elder. He was the leader of the Los Angeles hunting party, also known as the Lost Tribe. Greyback was at least 300 years old and his younger years were depicted in the Predator comics especialy in the comic book, Predator: Hell Come A Walkin'/1718
Me and my sister were talking about the Predator or "Yauija" species the other day on how these hunting trips they take off world could be a form of catharsis or as a means to keep from killing themselves off on their homeworld. I don't know if this has been explained already in the old Dark Horse comics or any other expanded media, but they are so technologically advanced to where they're capable of interstellar travel. Meaning they're extremely intelligent, scientific research and development etc, some of them had to come together in that pursuit, research means of propulsion through space, like a space race or something. It could also be that they are just a much older species than humans, to why they're so technologically advanced but how did they keep all that savagery in check to where they didn't wipe themselves out before achieving interstellar travel? Maybe the hunts are a form of "letting loose" those base violent urges? Maybe they hunted just about everything they could hunt on their home world, including themselves, and decided, let's take it intergalactic. Maybe they hunt down and brutally kill lesser species to keep from all out war with themselves, that being part of all the ritualism? I'd be interested in seeing how they conduct themselves on their home planet, like if they're civilized in their day-to-day day lives, going to work, having families, hobbies or what passes for this things with their species and culture, they're alien so it's probably different from how we. Great movie, I give it 9 "you one ugly futhuh fukuhs" out of 10
"muthuh fukuhs"...😎👍
I like your ideas for the Yautja.
Comanches believe that whistling at night attracts evil spirits that is why Naru whistles to draw the predator in just before the head trapper is decapitated.
9:45 Amen! 🙏🏽💪
I would absolutely recommend AVP its really its own thing not really connected to the other films same with Predators, Predators being the better of the 2.
Naru is played amazingly by Amber Midthunder who was amazing in the FX show Legion a Marvel show about Professor X's son David Haller omega level mutant with multiple personality disorder.
Yes. Great reaction :) best movie in the franchise together with the first one. I think it is also great that as far as i know they did a good representation of the commanche (which is not what you expect from the fifth movie in a monster franchise), even down ti the whisteling. They put work in, but never let it overshadow the personalities of naru and taabe either.
Maybe give predators (the third one) a try. Not as good as this, but imo better than 2. The predator from 2018 is like ... well. A movie. The worst of the franchise. Maybe nice to watch it as a trainwreck? Thank god prey came out, the 2018 movie could have killed the whole franchise.
Also, you missed the post-credit. ;)
This is where the fun begins!!!! This is one of the best prequels I've ever watched. Plus, Disney's first Predator movie as well, and it was great! Curious to hear your thoughts! 🙏🏽💪
Yeah I really loved the movie!!!!
Nia where are you Japan or China and what is your son name how old is ?

I love this Predator movie. My favorite movie out of all of them.
4:20 There he is! 💪
25:08 Yikes! 😭😂
*Alien vs Predator is NOT a bad movie...internet be trippin'*
2:06 😊
Dan Trachtenberg hasn’t done a lot yet, but he’s hit it out of the park every time so far.
Naru got lion on back quarter as she fell ,why later her brother said she weakened it ,she had it .
30:06 Translated, he said "i like dogs, it tastes better than beaver"

I can definitely add that to the list!
@@NiaMakiReacts thank you
There are at least two more predator movies, Predators which is decent and The Predator which I gave the benefit of the doubt honestly it’s the worst of all of them. I don’t know who’s been saying not to watch AVP it is by farm my favorite go to movie of either franchise! The second one is kinda meh but the first is awesome! You should definitely watch it and the extent cut because it adds a bit more context to certain aspect of the predator
Told you you would like it.
I love watching you and your lil co-star on the couch. Remember the end of Predator 2 they gave Danny Glover a pistol with a year on it
I love that they brought the predator franchise back like this. I also love that it shows the warrior life of our women and men from our tribes.
There has been lots of movies and tv shows showing the shield maidens of Viking culture, but there hasn’t been much showing that our native women were, and are still, warriors. A’ho
The dead bison weren't from the predator, they were from bison hide hunters. Yes, what she found was a casing.
It wasn't a casing. It was a cigar. When she was at the French camp and saw the one Frenchman turn around with the cigar in his mouth (the one that she cut the leg off of), she realized who killed the buffalo.
@@jeremywagler3426 Yes, it was cigar. Gun at that time were muzzle loading flint locks. Gun using cases came several decades later in general use.
Alien vs Predator aka AVP is a good movie. They lying to you. It's not the greatest, but it's good, very entertaining. Definitely not the worse out of the bunch.
You dropped a reaction to a Predator movie on Alien Day (April 26)! Based! 😂

@@NiaMakiReacts you should! It's really good despite what some people say❤
Prey 2 in the making .previews out now
Im so in love with u it hurts...
The part with the buffalos skinned is a tragic true story. It started with the colonizers killing for the animal hide. Some of the meat was used, but not all. The rest of the animals were left to rot. Later, when the government realized how much our tribes depended on the wild life, buffalos in particular, they decided to massacre as many herds as they could to deprive our people or resources.
How could you have missed it?! It was right there in the credits. There is going to be a Prey 2 because it showed the Predators returning for their lost comrade at the end of the animated credits. Just after it says Prey, it shows some ships up in the sky.
