Mom’s spaghetti
if you don’t reply to this comment in the next week, you guys will owe me $100
he really needed a hug from his mom.. black families be so focused on household roles and being respected that they forget to or don’t know how to show LOVE. which is why so many black children have behavioral issues because they lack love so they act out for attention which to them is the closest thing to love.
Agreed. We also tend to be secretive about addiction or mental illness. It is getting better though thankfully but progress is progress.
Weird when do white people talk about themselves so poorly. This isn’t my norm so it isn’t “black” families just say yours was like this.
thats soo true]
i have friends that have great relationships with their parents the parents where im from are great and the kids are surprisingly healthy
@@ArchDornan2131 thats amazing, where are you from? & what do you think curates such healthy relationships there? if you don’t mind sharing for future generations
It’s crazy because minus the out the box shii that happened putting him in this situation the whole convo between him and his mom is exactly how it is in most black house holds the mom don’t apologize just talks to her child in a loving tone and gives them something to eat (that’s the apology all by it’s self) it really felt like one of those moments💯
Black Love
ong. Yall get in a fight then she asks you if you want mcdonalds later 🤣
Same with Turkish moms :')
lol what makes you think that's unique to "black households"? You're not some unique global monolith.
@@edgelordpriestessofwaifust6434 lol tbh it’s not about what I think it’s about what I’ve experienced and witnessed in the households of the same race it’s not about it being unique it’s about how relatable it is because most black households are like this unlike other races (no need to be named) that don’t discipline their children at all and allow inexcusable behavior from the undisciplined child…..if you never experienced it don’t accuse me of implying my race is superior because if you think about it we’re all unique no matter what race clown
I wish to God that story would have ended this way with the children alive.
Donald Glover described it as a "Black fairy tale" and thankfully gave it a happier ending than the real world
@@stupidmonkey089 Reminds me of Once Upon of Time In Hollywood. What SHOULD have happened instead of what DID happen.
real life dont work like that
@@KarteyKid1997sadly ,yes , its didn't happen like that , things n life screw us all over .
@@stupidmonkey089 quentin tarantino did something similar in "Once upon a time in Hollywood" where he changed the sharon tate murder by having the protagonist save her from the Manson family attack.
Crazy this was based on that story where those 2 ladies adopted like 6 black kids n killed them
Remember the story of Devonte Hart
Thought no one else caught it
Nah man I knew as soon as he got sent to the women, that was crazy man
This episode shook me. I didn't know the original story... "Why didn't anyone stop us???" 😩
So evil, that child deserved better
I'm glad they made an episode about this because the story its based on did not end this well and for some reason hardly ANYONE talked about it. They were talking about Devonte when he was crying hugging that police officer but when his two crazy liberal white moms went off the deep end and drove a car off a bridge with the kids inside I noticed that got far less coverage.
It was a big deal for me but I lived near there.
Cuz they apart of alphabet community
Man, I knew the writers were gonna come with some fire, but not this good. Excited for what’s to come!
Almost too good. Need some filler episodes inbetween sothat don't make me need to medicate afterwards and stare out the window with no view.
It's a true story
@@dr.100purrscent5 made scarier by them not finding one of the bodies of the kids. You almost hope he's somehow made it back home, slipping through the cracks of the foster are system
They didn’t come up with anything it’s a true story sadly … they just changed names basically
For the life of me i cannot understand how some people are justifying the mothers actions
you didnt understand the message of the episode
@@xXCrazy1oO this. The foster system, the moms are more dangerous.
She clearly had time to cool off. She really thought her son called CPS on her for giving him a harsh punishment. The mother was right in the end, if you think about it. She told him if he continues to act up that, "white people will kill you!". The teacher felt like Laquarius was being abused so she called CPS and he ended up in an even worse situation.
Aside from some controversial punishing, I don't see how the mom isn't justified.
I love how this episode is built we find the grandfather and mother as the "villains", but despite the harsh teachings she is not completely wrong as teaching that some white people just want a reason to ridicule and belittle black people can be harsh but unfortunately it's true in the end she shows her motherhood by calling him "baby" that was beautiful and how the episode shows how the white savior is ridiculous from the teacher at school wanting to "save" and obviously the psychotic couple who "adopted" Laquarius and the episode shows how discreet and lethal racism is
You do understand that this sort of stuff happens to white families too and that people from all backgrounds are running child protective services?
I couldn’t disagree more. There’s no motherhood, his mom threw him out as soon as social services showed up, there was no white saviorism, he was being legitimately abused by his mother and beaten and his teacher saw it and rightfully helped him. Him being adopted by a psychotic gay couple isn’t saying he should’ve stayed at home because, he’ll still face abuse that’s unfortunately normalized in many black communities. He just as easily could’ve been adopted by a loving family.
I agreed. But the part that the mother kicked him out off the house was too much. She wont listen to anyone. As an asian, our parents don’t apologize too. Which i hate it, they even make their kids feel like it’s the kids fault. ‘So you decided to come back huh?’ He just escaped death. And he’s gone because of your quick words and decisions from temper. I can feel those regrets in her action, but with pride she wont apologize for sure. It’s common in Asian households too.
Either way, his mom is totally nuts
@@nanfahkg1601you know what makes it worse is that the real life situation didn't have the happy ending like this movie and guess who to blame for it the dam parents those ain't no real parents that piece of shits just like the liberal mothers I hate it lucky my mother wasn't like that but sadly my grandmother was so I understood what he went through when I had to stay with my grandmother she kick me out when I was 13 over me not wanting to pick up the trash because she kept hurling insults and cusses at me it was 3 degrees out and I had no where to go I almost died and caught pneumonia my great auntie found me sleeping on the side walk with no coat or anything well all I can say is my grandmother was excommunicated between our family and my mother never left me with anyone again and if she is homeless I be homeless with her
It's crazy how one person can ruin a whole family like that
It's done on purpose to break apart black families. The system is built that way with "welfare", The New Deal, and abortions and bringing LGBT ideas to the black community.
How?
Sad part is if it wasn't for how his mom was raising him he wouldn't have survived
Yup. He was strong.
Finally he get fed real food 😂😂😂😂
😀 The song playing is "Buddy Fo - When It's Time To Go"
Heard this scene and INSTANTLY connected! Had to look it up! 🙏🏽🔥🎶
Thank you.
I hate this style of parenting.
Disguisting, weak, lazy.
Doesn't care of her kid. The kid needs its parents, it doesn't need to be beaten and hated on until it develops nothing but hate.
She only taught him how to be poor and humiliate himself. Nothing more, nothing less.
I think that’s the point. The cycle of having unwanted kids and placing blame for all your troubles on them which continues with your kid is a big reason for the problems that plague black communities
Your missing the point here, its not all foster parents who are kind and loving. And it also shows how careless those folks are who should be visiting the homes often to monitor how the kids are being treated.
when she said yeah baby...
Another amazing episode
She didn't question how he got back home or what happened just "you decided to come back home"
It’s straight up bullshit dude
I bet you this kid will act right on school now. The foster system, those people are monsters too.
Crazy how she gave jit all that trauna by kicking him out
I bet you he won't be dancing in school no more. The lesson is pay attention in school.
She really thought he called CPS on her. She was probably deeply hurt because Laquarius was not being abused. He got smacked by his grandfather, but he wasn't even hurt. GrandDad surely got worse than a smack as a young man.
That’s not his Grandfather… He needed him out of the house.
I didn’t catch that but it makes sense.
What?

big issue with the episode was his mum throwing him out. At least she could have shown more gratitude when he returned to show she did actually care about him.

who do we think was behind him? 😬
probably Earn (and us the viewer) being a omniscient watcher of the whole thing playing out
we heard a floorboard creak mid-episode too when the kid wakes up and checks the fridge for food. i think its the granddad about to welcome him back, or worse - granddad with the pet dog's face, implying that the kid's STILL in a dream and he's about to wake up again and find himself... in his classroom? in the foster home? who knows
