Wow. Lisa, this painting is absolutely stunning and beautiful. I have really wanted to try this style for quite some time, but I didn't quite understand it or how to achieve it. Your tips were so helpful in showing me what this style is really about and how to paint in it. I thank you for that. This video was awesome, thank you! I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my art. I stopped painting because I wanted to get loser looking imagery but I'm so caught up in details but this helped a lot. I'm going to practice loosening up. I'm used to doing photo realism with charcoal as well, but I want to push my values with this loose paint style. Anyway, I love this video! ^_^

I really would love to get to the point where I could paint fairly quickly in this loose style to do commissions for portraits and pet portraits like you did in the past. Definitely a life goal. I've been working with acrylics for a bit, but I think I have a long way to go. I've been a subscriber for awhile, but am just now having the time to explore all your content. Does this also apply to watercolor? I am learning watercolor, and I use too much detail, IMO. I'm pretty good at colored pencil where detail is essential. Very nice painting!

have any tips with nice colouring on a small scale, and colouring black hair, so it does not look flat.
Hamza Naveed Layer other colours over the black so that your hair doesn't look flat. The colours you use will depend on the lighting and background of the picture your working from.

day 2 on the flowers definitely do not look like you painted them with your feet...if so, you got some great foot coordination skills Lisa! :)
