Oh, you are sitting....I hope you are ok. Paul, this little blues in the begining was so good, I hoped for more..... Nice guitar, Thanks for sharing. Your friend Joseph Like 11
Thanks Davie. It lives on a hanger ready to go and does get played but less than the resonator which I only slide on and much less than the electrics which are easier on the arthritis. Thanks for the kind words
It's not bad is it. I wish my nails and my nerves were up to it...Hahahaha. If I played it all the time I might eventually work up to 13s and then it would really be something to hear. Thanks for dropping by Gra. Always good to see you
i guess playing acoustic 5 or 6 minutes a year ; strings sound new ! and à la Clapton :) you've got warmer hands than i have, mine are lights :) acoustic suit you very well Paul :)
Well spotted Fred. The strings ARE new...Hahahahaha It should have heavier strings really as these are .011s Thanks so much for dropping by. Always good to see you
I like to have a stab at the Jimmy Page piece because I'm not good enough to play Bert Jansch's Black Waterside....Hahahaha. Actually they both sound a little bit like She Moved Through The Fair and if you want to cry then you should listen to John McCormack. It is the most beautiful thing...ruclips.net/video/X-g_4yVxnQY/видео.html Thanks for dropping by and for the kind words
It's a mid '90s one and I'm pretty sure George Lowden was working with the company at that time. When I bought it I compared it with Martins and other Lowdens and various other things and it was the best guitar in the shop at that time. I'm very lucky to have it :-)
sounds beautyful, Paul. I have to admid I seldomly change strings on my instruments but this strings sound quite "fresh" :-) I saw Brownie McGhee twice (with Sonny Terry and the 1st Animal-drummer) - once even in London in 1980 (I think in the half moon in Putney? And Eric Burdon was sitting right behind me and somebody named Earl Oaklyn (?) played the support but I am not so sure anymore it was the Half moon. Maybe I saw there Chicken Chack - too long ago). Best regards Frank
New strings Frank so that's why they sound bright. Thanks for the lovely compliment :-) I love Brownie McGhee but never saw him play, though I did see Chicken Shack at a pub in Southall and Stan Webb stood on my chair. Hahahahahaha. Earl Okin is probably the man you're thinking of - a sort of English, comedy Ry Cooder (more comedy than Cooder) I played at The Half Moon in around '87 or '88. It's one of my best gigging memories
"New strings Frank so that's why they sound bright." But maybe it has something to do with your playing, too, LOL Earl Okin was the man - made some impersonations of Count Basie's minimal piano-playing,too - but mainly played guitar and sung. You should upload more acoutic sets from time to time.Have a great weekend.

Thanks very much Joseph.
I'm only sitting down because I really don't like to play acoustic guitar standing up. It never feels right to me :-)
Lovely tone... ageing well.. very melodic play... TC... K
Thanks so much Keith. I appreciate it
It's a long time since you've had the Lowden out Paul, great to hear you playing acoustic again, some nice blues stuff going on. :-)
Thanks Davie. It lives on a hanger ready to go and does get played but less than the resonator which I only slide on and much less than the electrics which are easier on the arthritis.

What a beautiful sounding guitar.

Superb sound and some great licks with your lowdén ...
You're so kind. Thank you very much indeed
Delightful!
You're very kind. Thank you
Love this
Thank you so much. You are a great singer
hey FM you and that lowden are the real deal duo. pleasure to hear you on the acoustic. peace, rich
Thanks Rich. A lazy electric player very much appreciates the compliment of an acoustic master
Works so well with the blues Paul. Lovely bell like overtones. Is this an original George Lowden.

You should play acoustic more Paul that was lovely and a beautiful sound it makes too 👍🏻
Thanks so much John. You're very kind. It does get hard on the fingers quicker these days as the arthritis moves in but I enoy it when I do it :-)
Good November to you, Paul. Just took the dog out for a walk and it was 32 degrees.
Phew! Too hot for me...Hahahahahahaha.
Good to see you :-)
@@PaulMcCaffreyfmac I'll take yours.
Great guitar player.
I really appreciate your kindness and support whilst worrying for your judgement...Hahahahaha
