Yes, it‘s a truly great guitar! :-) In fact, I have one built in Ireland (under the auspices of the Mr. Lowden, himself) in 1994. I bought it new in 1995, and am looking to sell it now (having fallen in love with others more). Your pickup system is surely superior to what I chose back in 1995. It‘s a Fishman Matrix. It gets the job done, but is quite prone to feedback when using stage monitors, no doubt due to the highly responsive cedar top and the jumbo shape. Anyhow, it‘s a great instrument made with lots of love.
About 3:41 he says, "I'm in ________ tuning...." C, G, D, G, C, D . I use this tuning, also -- I learned it from an old Dave Evans album -- but I don't know what it's called. Anybody catch what Gerken called it?
Peghead Nation - Thanks, Teja. After all these years, I finally know its name! You may know that Dave Evans recorded some _exquisite_ arrangements of about four of O' Carolan's harp tunes, and one original, in the same vein. Album called, "Irish Reels, Jigs, Hornpipes & Airs," on Kicking Mule. Highly recommended, from me! On iTunes. Sheebeg and Sheemore is worth $100, easily. The best arrangement ever, imo.
The answer is „yes and no“. It depends on the year it was built and/or the serial number. I have one built in 1994 (serial no. 5806) which was definitely built in Northern Ireland, though that was not the case with all Lowdens. For a while, the owner had moved production to Japan, but later moved it back to Ireland - first at one location, and then to another - so he could more closely oversee quality. Although the Japanese-made models are not bad, the ones made under the direct guidance of Mr. Lowden, himself, are prized to be better. I don't recall what I had on the guitar when I shot the demo, but I usually use either D'Addario EXP 16's, Elixir Phosphor-Bronze lights, or various Martin strings.
Damian Rice plays an S-10 which is supposed to be from 1985-90 but made in Japan, this O-10 must be a later iteration of this design made in Ireland.

A piano-like tone truly ...

"Orkney" tuning, which is what Steve Baughman coined it, though of course it's technically a G Sus tuning. - Teja Gerken

Love Dave Evans! Do you know what the tuning is for St Agnes Park? That guy's playing was incredible...
I also use this tuning for covers of Massive Attack 'Teardrop' (for the harpsichord part) and Radiohead 'Let Down'... it's a very versatile one
Great playing - sounds lovely! Is guitar made in Ireland?

lovely...what strings?

I was gonna guess Elixir or something like it, definitely has a coating-y sound :D but goes well with cedar top i think
