He might not even be the type who easily rejects sincere gifts from people he once liked even if their current relationship is different. Like Hyorin's letter and necklace. She laid her heart bare and poured her sincerity into those gifts. It's just courtesy and guilt for Shin to accept her gifts now - it would have been cruel from him to kick her in the dirt when she's already down on her knees begging and vulnerable. Shin's kind in his own way, but very easy to misunderstand because HE DOESN'T FREAKING TALK ENOUGH. It's a critical fault of his that will make relationships so nuch harder and complicated for him and his partner. By the way: I'M NOT TEAM SHINxHYORIN. I'm just... Trying to see things in their shoes. Hyorin should have given up when he went through with the arranged marriage. She shouldn't have rejected him when she had the chance and actually wanted him with her whether he followed her abroad or not. Shin... Well. He should really stop being deliberately an asshole to his wife when he actually cares about her. Like shut the fuck up and protect her, not clown her.
