I don’t know if this comes up in the league, because I’m still in round one, but I’m pretty sure grapeshot is primarily for targeting rot priest, since even though it kills it you only need ten storm to kill as opposed to the 20 via damage
Super cool to see the growth over the years with sponsors! Always like it when a new intro has to be re-recorded because of the growth. Really awesome man we’re all proud of how hard you’ve worked
Really happy that Storm is finally back. Its been hated out of the format for years, but now with Breach and cards in the right colour to support it, the deck can work.
At 50:07, i think you're supposed to play the dragon rage channeler from your graveyard. That lets you mill 3 whenever you cast a non creature spell, making them basically free.
man this deck slaps. loved seeing the absurd double-DRC + Breach lines, and the beatdown plan working in R2G2 (and almost getting there R3G3, 1 life point short!)
40:00 instead of casting Underworld Breach, you had lethal in hand. 5 mana with 4 storm. Rot priest, summoners pact, rot priest, grapeshot your rot priest. 9 storm, with 2x priest triggers, 18 poison counters. I'm not sure you ever mentioned that you can grapeshot your priest. Thankfully you ripped that ground rift.
At the timestamp you linked he only had 1 green mana available but he needs 2 green for 2 Rotpriests so he was forced to Breach in order to filter 1 red mana into green mana using Manamorphose in the graveyard. However, he was able to do it at the start of the turn though by using ritual to get 4 mana total, which is enough to cast 2 Rotpriest and a Grapeshot, and he can filter to 2 green mana using either Manamorphose in hand.
I think the only thing that could be better is cutting the anarchomancer (or something else but that's what I'd cut I don't think it really does a lot usually mana isn't really the problem if you get to a point where you combo and could've played anarchomancer) for a copy of Noxious Revival. I think it opens up very cool lines with manamorphose or your upkeep and summoner's pact before the draw effect to get rotpriest then noxious the pact to get wild cantor, that alone gets you 5 storm + 1 if manamorphose just for getting your cards if you're on 3 mana with ground rift (4 grapeshot) you can also just get two priests. Although if your opponent survives you def can't survive 2 pact triggers. It can also just be a free spell getting something from oppo's gor looping something and it can protect from surgical. I'd like to know what people think about the idea. Also thank you for the daily content Brian if you read this though the video kinda "old" now.
Wondering if this deck wants to be doing more with the summoners pact in games 2 and 3. Pact for rec sage could have opened some doors in that last game.
At 1:06:00 instead of him taking damage from lethal cant he play the summoners pact for a creature to block to survive to use his grapeshot next turn? Obviously has to hope opponent doesn't have burn but ..?
r3 30:55 is pick up jegantha end of turn, draw into desperate ritual or land play jegantha an ok line to have done here? theres no fear for hand disruption and theres no instants in the gy to flashback
"They have a second wave of rhinos..." No, CAN. They have a second CAN of rhinos. And as I'm writing this I'm pretty sure you just said the thing, so...yeah.
if you ground rift for 4, and underworld breach is your 5th, you can ground rift again for 6 which is the kill. Instead of ground rifting for 5 and then 7.
I feel like Electromancer almost never attacked in that deck because it dying usually made your combo very difficult and attacking would open it up to more removal options. Having Breach lines makes it less risky.

Thank you for this title. Now I have a 2000s song stuck in my head.
Check out the cover by Blowsight
A 2000s hit*
@@4Asphalt4 Its one of my favorites
At my LGS it's been referenced every week since pre-release at FNM draft
... oh god, is that really a 2000s song? I feel so old...

I imagine Breach will get banned.
10:05 one of the biggest plot twists in all of Magic

I was thinking of this. Glad someone else saw it.

Seeing a lot of different streamers playing this deck now, and it's interesting to see how they build/play it differently.
Been watching rotpriest storm for 2 weeks, excited to see it pop up here!!

Round 2, game 2, you transformed into BashNRoll, lol. Great content dude, keep it up!
Venerated Rotpriest goes great in normal infect too. Spellskite also deserves a mention!
Of all the g/r storm cards mh2 made i would never expect that the most important one would be DRC
Please play this deck again! A lot of fun lines

Time for Trickbind to make its way into Modern.
Just killing the Rotpriest in response to the storm trigger is much easier. Trickbind is unnecessary.
@@drpibisback7680 I'm aware. Dies to bolt no problem.

Love your vids
I learned about the legacy format from you
Have my like
Loved the g1 opponents deck
This deck is wildly appealing 😎
Toxic storm is cool and all, but how about acid rain as a name for this deck?
I haven't finished just began. But per the rules of MTG content if in m1g1 you do the thing right away it means you finish the league 2-3
I think for the very last game, you were supposed to keep the DRC to help dig.
can't you use grapeshot as a way to target Rot Priest?
you can it does not matter if it dies they all targeted it
@@yuyu63 Yeah, That's what I thought.
I just played this at a local event and went 2-1 beating 5cZoo and BWG Poison and losing to UB control with discard and Dress Down.

"Like if storm had a two power creature in it"
Yeah imagine if storm played some sort of goblin electromancer back in the day 🤔
I feel like Electromancer almost never attacked in that deck because it dying usually made your combo very difficult and attacking would open it up to more removal options. Having Breach lines makes it less risky.
@@drpibisback7680 it did against control 😜
I keep thinking these are aspiring spike thumnails

Seriously, this is the most toxic I've seen you in a video in a long time.
@bosh
Bang bang that boy is toxic!
Round 3 game 2, you could have actually played your companion, which might have been sufficient to win.
34:00 splice :(
Oh you did splice!!!
Splice :)
This deck is disgusting. Love to see it.
That girl is poison~
I remember when this cards was spoiled and people said the poison storm idea was just a meme.
