Our family loves to watch adventure and quest videos of backpacking...especially to places we may never be able to visit. I know the views are usually less than gear videos, but the effort is greatly appreciated. Please keep doing these!
This is so beautiful, definitely one of my favorite videos. Thank you for sharing those moments with us! I'm afraid Kovu is the absolute star of your show (and he knows it!) :)
Eric ... Thanks for sharing the video ... When you share these types of videos I (we) get to vicariously go backpacking with you ... The scenary was beautiful ... Kovu's antics made me smile ...
Eric, what I love about this is, it’s just honest backpacking and the enjoyment of nature. Personal with a touch of vulnerability. Kristi and Kovu stole the show.
Great to see you both take this departure and capture some quality time together, Im sure everyone would love to see more of these especially as camping season begins! The set up of shots, constantly being mindful of aesthetically pleasing scenes you may want to capture can take a lot of time, but its great to have these videos in the end for personal memories and a little nudge for anyone watching to get outdoors and enjoy the scenes for themselves. Amazing video thanks for sharing your adventure !
Grossartiges Wander und camping Abenteuer🤠 Die Umgebung ist ist einTraum⭐️ Wirklich eine schöne Natur Kullisse. Auch die Musik war hervorragend. Grüsse aus der Schweiz🇨🇭
Eric- as much as I wish ‘m a lucky winner, I think someone’s hacked your account. I received an email from “RUclips” with your profile pic saying that I’m the lucky winner based on my comment. Thought you might like to know. Btw- had to watch the vid for a 3rd time. It’s just that good!
i'll be headed out to Idaho and Montana on July 11 for a 5-day rafting trip on the Lower Salmon River. I'm going to head over to Montana for a day or two before the rafting starts - never been to Montana - this video makes me more excited!
Thanks for sharing! I love this style video as well as your other types. It would be nice to follow up this type of video with a gear review of everything we saw - why you picked specific pieces for this particular trip, what worked/didn't work (if any), things you may have regretted bringing/things you wished you brought. I would also like to hear your partner's thoughts on the trip and gear!
Absolutely beautiful!! Thanks to your videos I got the terraframe 65 and loaded it with 45 lbs (had a bunch of camera gear) and it carried it like a dream! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
Gus just loves to help set up the tent, take down the tent, sleep on my pad and quilt etc. Dogs are such a pleasure to have hike with you. Great video!
Beautifully shot video Eric. I loved the shots of the mountain goats up there. Once you crack the code on getting views on hiking film, you let me know ok? haha I filmed 50 episodes all across America last year with some of these being the first time ever someone has professionally filmed these locations, aka Ice Lake, Grandeur Peak, Blue Lakes, Red Mountain No.3, Sister Twin Peaks the list goes on and on, with my final 3 episodes going up soon I've really realized since hiking films dont have conflict they need to be silent and peaceful or dangerous and story-driven. Nothing in-between at least to captivate a large audience which really makes sense why ski touring and climbing videos do much better... conflict and danger.
Hi Eric- we are looking for trips in MT and this looked spectacular! Can you say the trail info and was this an out and back or part of a loop? Also what pack are you using for your dog? And I had to laugh at his antics- ours also ends up sleeping on us in the tent 😊
We went to Leigh Lake, which can be quite popular, but we were there right after the snow freed up so it was nice and quiet. And yeah, Mountainsmith K9 pack. It's decent. I think we want to try out the Ruffwear option.
Thanks for trail info! We are currently doing our favorite PNW Olympic/Cascades hikes as the snow melts before they get busy! We use the Ruffwear Palisades pack for our girl, Cora- built same as your dog. LOVE the detachable saddle bags that leave behind their 3point awesome harness. Great flexibility and dials in a great fit. She carries her food/bowl and sleep system very comfortably. Would love a backpack with your dog video!
I really love watching your videos, especially with doggie! Question - are you having to hike twice to get the shots of you coming/going down the trail and if yes, isn't that exhausting?

My fav too!
They don't get the clicks but they're more fun to make. Glad you like em! More will come.
I love these types of videos. Just outdoor and beautiful scenery.
Thanks!
This is one of the best videos I've seen you do. The composition of your shots is breathtaking. The pictures tell the story. 😊
This is so beautiful, definitely one of my favorite videos. Thank you for sharing those moments with us! I'm afraid Kovu is the absolute star of your show (and he knows it!) :)
So picture perfect and dreamy
I could watch this all day...
living the dream! Beautiful pup!
I enjoyed that so much. Wonderful trip

Found myself in tears just watching this. There really isn’t anything else like being in the mountains. Beautiful video.
You were not alone there. Nature at its finest

This was a wonderful departure from your usual content. The area was stunning!
Phenomenal trip and video. Definitely stayed to the very end because of Doggo.

Excellent video. 👍👏🙌
Awesome video with the " family ". ❤️

Nice change from the other videos. It was very relaxing and the views were awesome!!
Thank you for abiding by the regulations and camping away from the lakeshore!! Fun to watch, keep it up.

Leigh Lake! I live like 4 miles from the trail head!
Wonderful. Having your canine partner on a trek is the best, as long as you are both responsible. I can see Eric and his partner are.
Kovu is a good boy. Kristi is excellent at training. Havin' him with us makes it so much more fun!
Awesome vid, love the hike alongs!
Nice, ive been there. First time i can say that on one of your videos lol.
I like this one a lot! Thanks!
So glad to hear it, thanks!

Absolutely beautiful!! Thanks to your videos I got the terraframe 65 and loaded it with 45 lbs (had a bunch of camera gear) and it carried it like a dream! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
oooh nice! Love to hear that. Terraframe is so solid. Glad you like it!
That looks like a Bob Ross landscape, complete with friendly mountain goats.
Life is good!
indeed!
Gus just loves to help set up the tent, take down the tent, sleep on my pad and quilt etc. Dogs are such a pleasure to have hike with you. Great video!
thank you! Yeah, the sleeping pad and bag kind of becomes theirs throughout the night.
Absolutely beautiful 😊
thank you!

Outstanding adventure when's the wedding.
Thanks! September.
Thanks for the down tempo video. Very calming and beautiful scenery. Less is more.
It's good for the soul.
Thanks again for these. Amazing trip.
Side note , what type of dog is he?
why do I never think to bring binoculars!?
Beautiful video!
What time of year was this?
What type of video gear?
Thank you for sharing!
This was shot about a month ago, I filmed it on the Canon R5. Glad you liked it!
Where are your both MysteryRanch Bridger Backpacks?

Hey. That’s a mountainsmith k9 pack. I love the ruffwear pack also. Definitely stay away from the cheaper ones!!!
We went to Leigh Lake, which can be quite popular, but we were there right after the snow freed up so it was nice and quiet. And yeah, Mountainsmith K9 pack. It's decent. I think we want to try out the Ruffwear option.
@@BackpackingTV I have the ruffwear approach and I feel like it balances better then some of the cheap ones I’ve tried.
Thanks for trail info! We are currently doing our favorite PNW Olympic/Cascades hikes as the snow melts before they get busy!

Would love a backpack with your dog video!
Wooow 👍 what kinda camera you use bro ?
I really love watching your videos, especially with doggie! Question - are you having to hike twice to get the shots of you coming/going down the trail and if yes, isn't that exhausting?
What shoes are you wearing?
Is it safe to silent hike in those areas? Aren’t there bears?
Chocked on my food at 3:18. Worth it though
What is the name of the sleepingbag, your girlfreind have? 😊
Partner? LOL
The only Craig adams clone I’ll accept lol
That's high praise! I'll take it!
Try Harmen Hoek
My “partner”…
Disappointed in music ...I don't call this silent.
