Kristi, Kovu, and I head into the Montana backcountry for an epic three day backpacking trip. This trip brought some lessons that haven't surfaced in a while. Wild animals made camp life very interesting!

I wouldn't say you lost a mile...you had the privilege of hiking a bonus mile. Another great video.
Beautiful water fall ...
Love that you are not disclosing the location I wish more on social media would follow in your footsteps! I could see this place being overcrowded quick
Great adventure! Love the smile on your face at 8:45 ... Kristi makes a great addition to your channel!
Great video! Hilarious moments. Eric is a real human (but always hike in front of him...). 😛
Fantastic video! love how you guys kept it real, Kristi I'm with you on the under climb too🤣. Gorgeous camp.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!!
my dude. so close to 100k. love the trip videos!
Wow. That lake looks so inviting
Jetboil sells the outer insulation thing for your MiniMo. Nice video! I use the Mystery Ranch Terraframe 65L which had the convertible daypack from the lid. It's great for day hikes and fishing away from camp.
A marmot stole my whole cook set last week backpacking in Montana.
Eric, who knew you have a 12-pack?!? Maybe only Dan Becker. You should do a video on your fitness routine to stay backcountry ready.
She is such a gem. Do not let go mr!
wow Eric you look so happy, never saw you smile and be happy so much, good on you mate!
Knowing exactly where this is I can appreciate why this location is not being shared...Thank you!
I enjoy solo hiking, because it’s just me, myself, and I. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Welcome to Montana guys!
Amazing location!
Looks like fun!
Outstanding!
Great adventure and vedeos!💯
At 7:33 that is the exact scenario where I snapped one of my trekking poles in half. It stopped my slide but only had the 1 pole so made for a rough hike out. On my most recent hiking video up Perez Lookout the top of one of my trekking poles broke off after I tossed it down the climbing sections.
Looks like a beautiful summer day swim for us in Canada :p
Welcome to crazy Montana weather. You always have to prepared for different weather out here especially when hiking in the mountains. And thank you for keeping the place secret.
Great video! When the 2 of you backpack together, how do you divide the gear in your packs? I used to carry the food, b/c my husband reasoned that the food would keep getting lighter, while the te t weight was constant. Now he carries all the food/ water filtration/cooking gear and I carry our Tiger Wall UL2 with poles
Lost (wrong turn, whatever…) - one of the primary advantages of the inReach over the Zoleo - using the mapping features. Even with the mini, you’ve got great navigation aids on your phone.
gorgeous !
Hey I was just wondering what kind of side saddles backpack do you have for that dog
Rodents - “mini-bears” - yep. They will eat anything you leave accessible to them.
This is so nice
Sunny and hailing? You know you’re in Montana… welcome to my neck of the woods.
Nice video. A bit of a strange question but, what pack was your dog using? I am looking for one for my Luna.
The place looks amazing, but those abs are even more impressive, I better start hiking more😂😂😂
Great video. But what is up with the Sound ? Using headphones I have Music in the left Ear and speak+ambience in the right 😳
I noticed the difference with this video as well
Last video was like that too
I'm not sure why but I just started watching him so I've been watching videos from all different dates and it seems like he's always had a problem with sound if it's not one thing it's other, he's quickly became one of my favorite camping channels but the sound does get annoying sometimes it's just consistently on every video there's something wrong or something weird
Same! Still liked the video though. 🙂
OMG, I am trying so hard not to laugh Eric, but you are cool and funny as hell.
nice video…. one question… seems that you actually took two backpacks?
Good times!!!
Chipmunks are little buggers, currently fighting a battle over our tomatoes…only after 20 years, WTH! We can no longer co-exist.
Wonderful chemistry between you two. 🤩
Was wondering… the bag for the shepherd. Never seen that before. Looks smart. Can we get some stats on it? Appreciated 👍🏻
Thank you! We like each other. Our dog is using the dog pack from Mountainsmith. It's cheaper than the ones from Ruffwear and we prefer it as it has more airflow. Our dog easily overheats. I think it was like $80?
I have a lot of family up in Montana and I really want to take my partner backpacking there! He has never been in big sky country! Good to know about the mice, I've only ever done day hikes there. Also still loving seeing more Kristi! She seems so fun!
Eric, when I'm gassy on trail, I just consider it my turbo booster to get up the hill.
Nice..👍
Hi Eric, where is this hike
What camera are you using to film your videos?
What model Marmot tent is that pls?
If I run into a mouse that can knock over a Jetboil, I’m going home! Just imagine what the bigger animals could do !
Come hike the Adirondacks bro. Green all the time
That's God's country right there! Montana is the best!
Eric or "I" any videos where you use msr tent?
It looks a little like Leigh Lake in Montana
Eric I love your videos, aspeciall y the ones of you hike and trek in. You are lucky Kristi seems like awesome girlfriend and partner, keep up the good work.
So pretty!! What was the name of this trail in Montana?
This arrogant guy won't say. So Many beautiful trails in this country, we'll marked, and, you find yourself alone. Sharing adventures is noble for Adventurers, not this showboat. And, no way he climbed 1600 feet in a mile there, so he's not good at math.
@@ronfenton He's pretty close on the 1,600 feet in a mile...might be give or take a couple dozen feet.
Why no bear bag hang with food & cooking set?
where in montana wilderness! this looks fun!
👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎
Mice are evil. That's why I use a canister. And I'm too lazy to find a good tree to hang.
FYI if you are using headphones your voice is only coming out of one ear for lots of this video.
Where did you guys go?
Montana is the best 🤫 lol
I agree, oftentimes the worst wildlife are the rodents.
Never trust a fart
turn off the music please
I don't understand not sharing your location if you are going to post it to social media. If you want to keep it to yourself, keep it to yourself and don't post about it. Seems like the height of arrogance to me.
These types of videos are a great inspiration for us to find our own epic adventures, not to copy theirs. Plus, Eric usually tells us where he is, so if he chooses not to on this trip, then there is probably a reason...maybe even for safety if they plan on staying around that area for while.
If it’s worth sharing the vid why not share where?
I found exactly where this is. It’s not terribly difficult to use google earth and find it, but I’ll keep it to myself to show respect lol. 🫡
Awesome video guys!
