Great info and vid. Had no idea about this.
Also the Almagest space station in the Olympus system has a cache of contraband that respawns too. Between it and Neon I managed to amass a nice little stash of contraband. I'd just swing by these locations every so often and then deposit the loot at one of my outposts for safekeeping/not getting scanned. When I finally decided to sell it all it was worth well over 500k.
If im honest, i found the Almagest to be very underwhelming on the contraband front and the credit front, Given the nature of the station 😉
@@mightyswordgaming I get what you mean. I never did "farm" for contraband per se, I just know these locations have contraband so as I'm going through my playthrough I regularly drop by these places and stockpile the loot. For me, it's like free money sitting on the table.
I was leaving that info for others just to let them know of another relatively easy source of contraband. Ofc there's also many others like the Vulture's Roost etc.
BTW I love your vids. Keep up the good work!
I think that it is ridiculous for an RPG to include automated mining and manufacturing but not include wholesalers that have the ability to purchase or sell large quantities since it seems to suggest that these features were included primarily for experience grinding rather than realistic role play. I think it would not take much effort to add a quest line and/or ship cargo size requirement that would then allow access to one or more wholesalers who would also only deal in resources and manufactured items. The wholesalers could also have an order board that would list open contracts that players could complete through their mining or manufacturing operations. These contracts would include delivery so a vessel with large cargo capacity would be required and the risk of being intercepted by pirates would also depend on the value of the cargo.
Didn't know about the stash at the hideout or you being able to just raid the jail. I've just been getting intentionally caught and raiding it that way. This saves a crap ton of time over time-spamming Almagest. Maybe when I get tired of stealing ships from Serpentis for 70k+ a pop, I'll do this.
Also while you are in the syndicate hideout, if you go through the vents there is a massive room with 15+ amazing guns on the walls and table.
Thanks will chek this out.
There's like four guns total in that room. Just looks like a lot because the way it's set up and the amo everywhere.
Try rerunning vultures roost over and over again and sell everything at the key
There’s four or five contraband stashes, and there’s 6 people to sell to at the key
Where is thay
Question, if you just put the collected stuff in the chests to the right wouldn't that be an easier collection system since they don't respawn?
how come after i wait 48hr whether its on neon or on venus it doesn't reset dudes credits? Shouldn't it build each time you wait? Say for example you wait 480 hours, shouldn't his credits be in the 6 fugure region?
Vendor credits do not increase from the standard 5k-12k per vendor unless you buy from them.
My understanding is they will always reset to the standard after the 48hrs if you drain them
Is the only reason you're going to Venus to rest is because of the faster sleep cycle? Because if that's the only reason, is it really saving that much time going there as opposed to waiting on the couch?
The waiting on the couch has to be for 48hrs and the time it takes to go to Venus go to bed for 6 hrs and get abck again is a bit quicker than waiting on the couch. If you wait onm the wait on the couch its 2 cycles to complete the 48hrs whereas the venus cycle is 1/4 of the time to wait per cycle
You save about 6 seconds going to Venus
Lol
Maybe the contraband respawns
@@tonyruggz4487 That and stocking up your mining storage.
The only thing that respond was in the maintenance shaft. The stuff the the police station never showed back up.
It's only the contraband in the cell as ypu enter that respawns. I have found that the other 2 crates in thr room in front of you do not reapawn items. Also make sure you are waiting long enough. Sometimes you may need to wait longer. That's why I found Venus helpfull
@@mightyswordgaming thats what im talking about the stuff in the cell did not respond but the stuff in the maintenance shaft did. Its weird. Also i waited over 4 days worth of in game time to sell what i had so im sure i waited enough. But its cool im still making money.
i had a mod back in skyrim that would refresh the venders money instantly after talking with him, no longer did you have to wait for the vender to resupply, the mod gave the vender 60,000 gold, so it was easy to get rid of a lot of crap you just had on you that you wanted to get rid of.
but yeah the vender would just refresh his money after talking with him, so he was ready for trading instantly lol, sounds like that modder needs to do whatever that other modder did lol, or just give the vender an ungodly amount of money to begin with, because nobody likes waiting in games like this.
Yea that would be good. I do think this mod makes the vendors more realistic and with a decent amount of credits
There are mods like that now for Starfield. Since it's a space civilization I went with the option to give vendors six figures. Trade Authorities have like 250k or 275k. I forget the name of the mod. It helps a lot with QOL though since there is no mod to speed up sleep/wait menu yet. I also use a mod to make contraband worth more. However, the best way to make creds IMO is to set up an outpost to mine Rothicite and sell it. Rothicite gets me 1mil or more of creds in a short amount time perfect for ship building and ammo buying. However, before setting up Rothicite outpost you need to set up outpost to mine iron and aluminum to make the components you need for storage tanks as you need lots of storage tanks to store your Rothicite to make bank.
Also a new game plus start the region I think it's called questline and also do all the side quests that will allow you to keep going plus you'll be able to duplicate and keep all that stuff there and I'm going to say their name again the wrong way but it's region I know what I'm saying it wrong but once you finish the quest line you have a safe that's in the main floor that's just like the constellation which is an unlimited safe you're on Nyan so you haven't basically a Contraband safe in your own private office that you can constantly fill up make a million in a heartbeat I just wish you could turn it into say one of the banks and you know offloaded all at once but slightly you can't go to the trade Authority and get their ammo life support which is all the aid medication that you need and Digi pics and then just sell your Contraband and anything else money supplies and basically unlimited capabilities Ring Around the Rosie keep on going and this works great on the Xbox
Does this still work on the latest patch? I can't test myself because im on the oldest patch with the vendor chests and dont want to update until I know a good farm kinda like this one 😂
I just tested this again and its still working. 👍
@@mightyswordgaming ok thank you very much 👍
How long does it take for the contraband to respawn
Usually when the vendor respawns after 48hrs UT the contraband will respond also
Sucks that xbox still hasnt mod functions.
Hopefully with the releasse of the creation kit in late feb(presumed date) you guys on xbox will be able to utlise the mods. 😉
I'm more interested in the mod you're using that gives the merchants more money. I've tried a couple and none of them have worked for me.
The one I use is called - Perk Up richer galaxy. Hope that helps. I run 265 mods and have no issue using it.
I am using Perk Up Richer Galaxy, it seemsd to be the best one currently. hope this helps
@@mightyswordgaming : I'll give it a shot, thanks!
I use Richer merchants mod which give 10x I believe to vendors giving them six figures. TA has like 250k or 275k creds and regular vendors have like 125k I think, don't go to regular vendors much since I would have to still use the slow Sleep/Wait menu to reset them to sell either crafted industrial items or Rothicite in bulk. For the Richer Merchants mod you have to use a Mod organizer with the Text Enabler mod but it's worth it instead of having mods in two different folders. I use MO2.
I also use Richer Merchants at 10x setting.
Start and don't finish the crimson fleet storyline and then you can sell cotraband and stolen stuff to "5" vendors at the key station. Trust me, a much much faster way to earn money
So I started the sysdef and crimson quest but I haven’t even went to meet the lady in the ship yet to proceed further. Now at lvl 85 I figure I should move forward. Even though I have the glitch where enemy ships don’t open and no enemies come out.
How many quests should I go through to get to The Key without getting on anyone’s bad side? Also once I get that far do the bad guys stop attacking in space and on ground?
@@celindafuller8498 go meet her, she'll give you a simple task to win the fleets "trust" ,do that as you like, after that she will invite you to the key. And then you can make money. After that..... sorry no Spoilers. Have fun 😊
Agreed on the Crimson fleet questline. They do have the highest concentration of Vendors in one location.I am still doing that mission for this very reason.
And give up my quarter million credits no thank u just fast travel to the den
Hey contraband won't respawn whats up
Is this patched already?
No contra respawns anymore this is patched
Well how to make it respawn ?????
Sit down on a chair or bench for 48hrs UT. I prefer to go to Venus and sleep for 6 hours.
I think this is patched, some chick took all my contraband stuff
Just retried this and it still works. As of 19th Feb
NEED CREDS? go to SERPENTIS, fight and take var'uun ships over and over again THEN when you go to SELL them DO NOT register them first, if you scroll to a registered ship next to the one you want to sell then scroll BACK and hit "A" (or whatever it is on PC) **AT ALMOST THE SAME TIME** it will think youre trying to sell a registered ship but will now be on your var'uun ship and ask you to sell AT FULL PRICE without registering.
Bethesda i swear on everything good if you patch this you will face consequences beyond comprehension.
No the patch they need to do is raise the ship selling price. Though, it is modders that will probably make that improvement. I think they already did. lol However, i just stick to farming and selling Rothicite since it's quicker IMO.
This still works???? I tried this as soon as I heard about it and it did not work for me. I’ll try it again
@@jenniferhermanson8969 - Still works, and works with both a controller and with a keyboard. Trick is to move left or right off of a registered ship onto the unregistered ship and hit the sell button at the same time.
I use this glitch all the time. Ship vendors are ALREADY making serious bank buying at 10%, registration on top of that (even WITHOUT it being so incredibly expensive) is ridiculous. I only register a ship when I need a component for shipbuilding that I can't get any other way. The credits pile up quickly!
@abrahambobst4602 that'd be nice for sure but the patch they need to do is fix all the game breaking bugs. They can leave the ships spinning around in place violently, stuff like that is funny, but not being able to access my ship or going to fast travel and I can't because "grav jump pending" is unacceptable. So many bugs...
Please stop, stop, devs will take notice and patch it up. I thought this will stay hidden but no, somebody had to put it there to be seen by everyone. Like the devs are not watching everything people post on their videos.
This has literally been known since the game practically came out. wdym thought it would remain hidden lmfao.
@@Th1sUsernameIsNotTaken Hidden from devs notice, all of the gaming industry patches such exploits when ever the devs pick up on it by watching videos like this. It's ok to stay in community of player's, but once it comes out like this it's game over. I bet in the next few patches they will ensure this exploit is destroyed simply because it's an exploit and it prevents players from gathering loot and credits at slower pace. I know what I'm talking about. Been there, done that many times for over 20 years of gaming.
@@savageaeternum6047 Stop rambling. None of that pertains to what I said.
These locations have been known since shortly after the game LAUNCHED.
There are multiple videos of these very locations 2-3 days after the game launched. And many more that followed in the following weeks.
"this" video isn't the first, and won't be the sole reason it gets patched - IF it gets patched.
You acting like he is the only one posting it and "brought" it to light is wild.
@@Th1sUsernameIsNotTaken He is the only one i saw posting. But very well, be as you said and hope it won't get patched but I'm not holding my breath.
Oh FFS, chillout...Why would this get patched? Therer is nothing to patch here, no exploits or glitches,...this is literally the way BGS designed the game to be played...Steal stuff/contraband, find shady vendor to sell said stuff to...sleep/wait for vendor inventory/money to refresh....
it has been this way since the first BGS RPG way back in the day....
like they have nothing better to do in a single player game. RIP bethesda and good riddance.
the game is so unbalanced, like every game from bethesda 😂😂😂😂😂
