- 4 lbs chuck roast beef
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp seasoned salt
2 tbsp meat seasoning
1 tbsp complete seasoning
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp black pepper
mustard oil or any oil of your choice
small mini potatoes: as much as you like
carrots
1 large onion chopped
4 small bell peppers Chopped
2 tbsp minced garlic
few stalks thyme
2 stalks Rosemary
1 cup tomato sauce
1 1/3 cup beef stock
2 tbsp brown braising sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp reserved seasoning from the meat.

4 lbs chuck roast beef

1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp black pepper
mustard oil or any oil of your choice
small mini potatoes: as much as you like
carrots, pearl onions
1 large onion chopped
4 small bell peppers Chopped
2 tbsp minced garlic
few stalks thyme
2 stalks Rosemary
1 cup tomato sauce
1 1/3 cup beef stock
2 tbsp brown braising sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp reserved seasoning from the meat.
1. Coat meat with oil, rob spice mixture over entire surface, and let it sit for 1.5 hrs
2.. Brown meat in skillet - 3 min/side - till golden brown
3. Preheat Instapot to “Saute” - add oil, onion, pepper, garlic - Saute 5 min.
4. Add tomato sauce, flour mixed in /w beef stock, brown braising sauce, Worcestershire, reserved seasoning from the meat, brown sugar - bring to simmer and put back beef in Instapot
5. Set Instapot to Pressure cook on Hi for 90 min
6. Release steam, remove oil, add thyme and rosemary stalks - taste and adjust seasoning as necessary
7. Add potatoes, carrots, pearl onions, cover - pressure cook on - High for 10 - 15 min
8. Serve, or if desired, strain and reduce gravy to desired thickness with flour or cornstarch

I just made this with a few substitutions; used soy sauce instead of browning sauce, added a spicy pepper because i like heat and added corn starch instead of flour and pearl onions. I also strained the gravy and reduced it to half. Im in heaven. This is the best roast recipe EVER! THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

This looks like a bit more work than some other Instant Pot Roast Beef recipes, but my goodness, did you cover all the bases. Very nicely done video with excellent instructions. Can't wait to view more of your creations.
Yes this is a nice juicy roast. We have made some similar to this recipe. My wife loves to make soups that are delicious. What I like about the Instant Pot is its easy to use and clean.
Wow! Looks good! Making this right now in my instant pot! I used everything but tomato sauce because I don't have any and I have Zatarins Gravy that thickens stew so used that instead of cornstarch. Thank you!

Note to self- start early in the day. Takes a long time to cook even in instapot. Worth it though!

Hi, this looks absolutely delicious, I have saved your video, as I have a similar roast in the freezer. I was hoping that you wouldnt mind offering some advice please. When you put the carrots and herbs in to the pot, you mentioned letting that go for 10 to 15 minutes, did you mean to turn the saute or pressure cooker on to cook them? Also, i havent cooked many beef roasts and was wondering if top rump will work out as well as your recipe. Many thanks for the wonderful flavourful tutorial.

It's a brown sauce I usually fine at the Asian store..if you can't find it you can use Hoisin sauce or alittle browning

Candy to me when we have fix pot roast in the crock pot or the oven comes out very grease. We don’t do.
It's greasy any how you cook it even the instant pot it had alot of oil I removed some of it with a paper towel. Because chuck roast has alot of fat in it.

I did let it sit for 2 hours at room temperature.
