  • This is my family school bus. It’s my wife’s daily driver. It’s a 2018 Cadillac Escalade esv platinum. 62k miles on it. One of my favorite trucks despite my troubled beginning. All I’ve listed has been covered by warranty besides the last wheel bearing.

Awesome video Paul. Thanks for the update on the Escalade and service intervals. A lot of that kind of information is awesome to know, safe travels

I loved my escalade. They are worth all you put into them. All they need is an after market with parts that won't leak.

Great Vid! Do you do all of your maintenance or did you get extended warranty?

Visited my brother in Rathdrum over Thanksgiving form San Diego. Rented a Platinum with the Turo app in Spokane when we few in. Had the Escalade for the week, great truck had about 85k on it. At times it was pulling me around on the highway at higher speeds... Not sure if it needed bushings but something was wrong with the steering. Not sure if you experienced any of that before. Tires looked fine. Still loved the truck and want to buy one.

Awesome rig man. Picked one up with 30k miles. Have you had any lifter issues?

    Thanks for the valuable information.
We're thinking about getting a 2015 actually, is it the same thing?
We're not towing anything, we're probably gonna drive around like crazy 😅 mostly all highway. You see, me and the kids just love to cruise.
What do you recommend, for specs and things to look out for before paying for it?

I really like the little features of the platinum. And if at all possible try to stick to 2018-2020. They got the 10speed that is really worth the extra cost. Also in the 2017s and up they have a better engine valve design. They changed it 2016 and it first went into the 2017 model years. But for transmission reason I say do 2018 and up. Well worth the money

@@pddieselpower Hey man, I really like the insight you give on your rigs. I hope you can do an update on this Escalade, looking into buying one.

Own 2019 but i feel now its a bit outdated even with 35k miles on it. Kids do destroy them as i got 3 girls. So true😅

You’re not the only one hating some of the full sized GM truck seats on some spec trucks but loving top trim seat comfort.

I just spent 35 hours driving a 2018 Silverado the seats are not comfortable for long trips doesn’t have much cushion ,I use to have a 2007 classic Silverado and Those seats are way more comfortable done the same drive and wasn’t as uncomfortable

I have a 2018 escalade, the 22 inch wheels are cheap and will Crack, at least on NYC roads they will . And you'll be spending 5K to replace suspension after 75,000 miles, other than that I love my escalade

    • @khalidzacki8429

5K covers the front shock/struts and rear shocks, but does not include a new air compressor, but the 5K includes labor

eBay you can get both front and Rear OEM AC Delco struts and rear shocks for $1000. Another $300 installation. I know because I literally got them done last weekend.
