Just get the 6.2L, it's a well thought out engine. As opposed what though? The 5.3L has been around over twice as long, wouldn't it be more thought out
I just bought a 2019 Yukon xl Denali and a $30k Rolex...the totals come out the same price as the Escalade platinum. every time I drive the vehicle with the Rolex in my arms...best feeling ever...
I’ve never driven a Yukon because I don’t like it’s looks and styling. I did have a Suburban which I loved - until I bought a new Escalade ESV. Wow, what a huge difference. Much more comfortable, quieter and I really like the looks. Very happy with it - it’s been completely reliable after nearly two years and 15,000 miles. I’m looking forward the 2021 Escalade, especially if it’s available with the rumored 650 HP. It will save me the cost of a new Corvette and it’s far easier to get in and out of for my aging bones.
We just ditched our 2018 Escalade this week. Nothing but problems....it was our second try with Cadillac...we had a 2016 Escalade prior to our 18. Both were junk... We picked up a 2019 Navigator few days ago...hopefully it isn't a POS too! Hope you don't have the same problems we did.
@@knightwing4 ...yes....no problem. Initial observations.....interior, ride quality, and technology/user interface is lightyears ahead of the Escalade. The Escalade does offer better off the line power and larger cargo area (ESV vs L). I give both GM and Ford a D- exterior panel fit and finish. Terrible..... Escalade has a better camera features and layout but the Navigator wins on image quality. The seat functions of the Navigator are well thought out (except if you opt for dvd package)....the Escalade's sest folding features are just plain frustrating. Headrests bashing into the seats in front....terrible. In the end...neither vehicle is worth the money.....but there are no other options for the consumer that can compete. Competition breads innovation. Hope the 2021 Escalade is completely revamped and pulled out of the stoneage.
Omg so true. I had a 2015 suburban. Was a great vechile but wanted to "upgrade" so I traded for a 2015 esv.. it was crap so then traded that in for a 2016 esv. I regret it so much, both esv have been a nightmare!! drives like a vechile with no suspension, super bumpy and harsh and vibrates after 75mph. transmission is trash, knocks like crazy. Now the screen isnt working. 3 months in back order and still nothing. Thank god its certified, so nothing out of pocket but unacceptable. Dealer cant get it right. Lives at the shop more than my driveway. I hate it, which sucks because I loved it prior to owning it. I was thinking of getting the new navigator L or the 2020 gls.. how does the navi drive compared to the Escalade? I really want a super smooth drive, we take a lot of trips I want comfort. The Escalade is the opposite of that.
@@Phenom-rl5pr ...the Navi is stupid comfortable. Seems to float a bit in the rear tho... power is good but not constant. Sometimes it rips....and then i can feel the ecm pulling timing (heat soak I'm assuming). Like to surge a lot....in and out of boost. It's annoying. We only run 93 octane. Truck is a dog otherwise. Overall hate the ecoboost but we have no other option. The 10spd calibration is way better than in the GM version. The interior comfort and design is on a different level. Really impressed with it. GM needs to up their game. They've been super lazy with no real competition until now.
@@JerseyFrank007 surely the Navigatir is well put together since it’s built around the same Expedition/Navigator concept of 2000. The expedition actually changed some but they kept the Lincoln looking like that early 2000’s model. I love Ford but I hate the looks of that Lincoln now.
The thing that worries me about the Escalade is it is known for extensive electronic problems. You don’t hear about as many problems with the suburban and Yukon as the Escalade. But congrats on the new rig.
So go from a 64K Denali after discounts to a 100K MSRP Platinum Esky because of nice seats ?? What these vehicles need as an option is the diesel engine and Allison transmission before anyone in their right mind would go and pay 100K
You are dam right I have a 2011 denali which is wonderful and the seats are great lately I visited the dealer and the first thing I noticed the different bad feeling it was not nice from the first impression I would go for escalade but in fact I hate the tail lights on it but again you are dam right according to seated issues Regards
I have the Escalade and I absolutely love it. Mostly because of the looks and yes I know the Tahoe and Yukon are cheaper but the look is so much better on the Escalade. Plus the way people look at me makes me feel good
Yukon is more comfortable I think bc of the rim size (I'm from Mexico and streets are awful) , escalade is more luxury but I think the front is starting to look old... btw Suburban and Tahoe sucks, those are more like a bodyguard car
Let me save you 20 minutes:
Buy the Escalade if you want more luxury details
And better fuel mileage.

So basically, every time you check your cell phone to see what time it is just remember you could be driving a much nicer truck

Well you were off by 250 hp. Unless you’re talking about the V

F. Yilmaz - I hope you remember to let us know about your new truck later. I’m curious to know about that new Navigator.

Exactly!!!!!FACTS!
Beautiful SUV, congrats and hope you get many years of great service from it.
This did not help me one bit...
🤣😂🤣😂
Dude! Get to the point without all the rambling...
Omg..For real,i stopped at 2min smh.
You must not have found the seat adjustment buttons on your Denali.
My dad has a Denali and he loves the seats, it's the reason he bought it. But either way glad youre happy now
What year is it, because I have 2011 denali and seats are good but I think the new models 2015 and above are having really bad seats
@@meroosa08 2015 😂😂. He must have a wired taste in seats
Does the magnetic suspension in the Denali drive identical to the Escalade? I’ve always wondered that @PD Diesel Power

I have seen allot of other owners say the center console touch screen buttons are crap, please report on your experience.
Some people don’t know this but the Denali came out before the Escalade.
knightwing4 he’s like the neighbor from Home Improvement you never see his face until the last episode
Navigator came out before the denali
Glad you like your escalade, but all I got out of your video is that you hate the seats in the Denali and love the ones in the platinum.

Thanks for sharing this video. I'm happy for you. God-bless Rocky Martin.

I have a 2011 Yukon denali. With the 6.2. Looking forward to buy to Cadillac Escalade. For my church use.
What about the navigator?
Did the thought of the Lincoln Navigator cross your mind as well
how's the adaptive cruise control? i have a terrible lower back. Less on the pedals these days =(

So here’s what I’ve gathered so far.. if you want to be comfortable in a suburban or Yukon, just buy the platinum seats.
Hook it up to the camper and hit the mountains! That's what I want to see!
lol i just listened to 19 mins of hearing this guy brag about himself LOL.....19 mins i wont get back
We have a 2015 Cadillac Escalade and I think it’s far superior to the Yukon honestly
Shayne lol it’s supposed to be.
What you do to be able to buy both trucks?
Exactly. I was wondering the same thing. Put us on
I think I’ll stick with a Suburban, I’m not paying twice as much for a seat.
Another 19 minutes of my life gone for stitching
Do the 2018 RAM video.
update on the powerstroke?
Reason why I got a Honda Odyssey. I don’t need to tow my trailer 0ark.
children's story about The Princess and the Pea only a true princess could sense a pea under 20 soft plush mattresses
If you look up ramble in the dictionary it just links directly to this video 😂
Escalade is a great choice.
Paul have you ever shown your face.
Both Are The Best.
Why not the Navigator?
The reason for good fuel economy in Cadillac, because the computer is off big time. GM is known for false information about fuel economy.
The Escalade badge is like my grandma's fake jewelry. A big chunk of cheap plastic that symbolizes the low quality of the vehicle overall.
i like this video a lot ^^!!!!!~~~~
This is a story not a review
Extensive electronic problem on the Cadillac Escalade all the ways!!!!!!
💰🤑💸💲
All I hear is winning and complaining. Well fuck build your own suv . And pay for it in your opinion. Seats seats seats.
We have the same birthday
My god, man. 20 minutes of humble-bragging just to say you like the seats better.
I get 1000 miles in 2 days
Navigator L black label
Negative ghost rider
Suburban yukon and escalade are all the same. If you drive an escalade everyone will treat you like a yuppy.
Dinowwwliii
Seat belt lol
you talk alot and say nothing
Nancy Pelosi could've have given a better presentation herself.
Horrible video
They are all the same
Dalbayob
American car so so boring
Terrible
Yukon is ugly - in my opinion. Love my Escalade ESV.
To much bull shet , blah blah 😑
