Awesome video and informative commentary. Excellent pros and cons of boot design from your experience and 100's of repairs you have done. Keep up the good work.

Very interesting! I’m new to watching these kinds of videos, but I learned about the anatomy of a shoe! You may have been a bit mixed up at times with what you said, but with all things in life - you’ll get better and better! 👏🏼

I know you were inspecting the shoe to inform us about the quality etc, but this is the first time ive seen you trying to be negative about a shoe, did meermin do something to upset you

I was hoping to add in a honest review. There a great pair for the price for sure but just can’t compare them to some shoes out there

Yes. The Meermin did offend him for being made by Chinese shoemakers.

Why would someone take a perfectly fine sole and do a marginal upgrade to them? Makes absolutely no sense.

a simple metal toe tip would have fixed the issue...

@binge french tips don't do that. Heel taps do, but toe taps don't strike the ground enough to make noise.

Oh my, the ink can rub off on the carpet. This was not a review, it was a trashing. I have several great pairs of shoes, love my meermin shells.

What is your first pick? Meermin is not your first pick.

Wow, some First class nit picking going on here .
2 mins in you're saying you can't compare them too a $1000 shoe, then you start slagging them off (wrongly).
"Used the wrong nails in a fibre board heel", leather heel base which you had to remove off camera because it was so well atttached.. Then you were wrong about insole being fibre board. Slagging off a metal shank being used. Sole has been sanded 1mm thinner in paces.
If you look at 1 min 23s you will see the stitches in tthe sole are a uniform colour, not painted. The brown "Paint"" on the stitch is probably boot polish from the stith in the welt.

i agree. this is a great channel (one of my favourites on youtube) but this video was just 27 minutes of slagging off meermin.

@@jeffreygoss8109 if you're a patient person, their MTO group program occasionally has some very reasonably priced cordovan boots/shoes. Takes a couple months before you'll receive these MTOs
They also have a HANDwelted line for around $350 which are a steal
