This guy is the magic car repair. Wow. If we have a guy like that in each body shop around to us is going to be awesome! Great job and thanks for passing it on that videos. 👍
Anybody hating on this video has never done body work before. It is perfectly ok to section in a rocker panel without replacing the entire uniside. Everything he did was a factory approved procedure. I don’t know a single body shop that would replace the whole uniside for that hit.
That's correct I got my car fixed the same way which got side impact, they cut and replaced the panel , not required to remove full part as this would damage more than fixing things
i love this kind of realistic repairs more than restoration to perfection... But as former welder, my eyes hurt just seeing the almost complete absence of safety measures... Job security is not an expense, it is an investment.
😳 This guy is AMAZING he is the metal Whisperer 👍 But I did not see him do any spot welds. I hope that company appreciates him and is paid accordingly. Sir you are a MASTER ❣️👍
I have seen many restoration videos where panels are patched in like this. They frequently rust after a few years even with loads of rust protection. Modern cars are galvanized and are so much less likely to rust. But what they put in will probably not be galvanized and neither is the welding wire. I think even if it is structurally sound which I'm not sure it is, it will rust from inside especially the piece of bare steel near the bottom of the B Pillar.
That’s a factory sectioning procedure. If you prep your welds properly, you won’t have any problems. Been doing this for a living long enough to know that welds rust from user error.
If you clean your welds properly, prime them with the proper primer, and spray the inside of the rocker with cavity wax, the repair will never rust through. When welds show through over time it’s because the person who welded it wasn’t good at their job
@@stax6057 I agree; but a repair like is makes sense where labor is cheap; in Germany this car would be sold as „parts“ to companies specialized in such.
@@T1971-w4c as well as the tools this guy isn't using any eye protection when using welding equipment so where is this smash repair shop based likely where labour is cheap and well life is also cheap this person repairing damaged cars will eventually have severe eye sight problems when he is older this is what happens in countries where they have a lack of unions or no unions at all as I said at the start this is likely filmed in a country where labour is cheap and life is cheap.
I admire what Jack is doing. Saving cars from the junk heap. I would rather meet him than anyone in hollywood. I have built several engines and built and altered chassis. He's good.
An excellent job. I only caught a couple of things. First, PLEASE wear goggles when welding. Next, it appears as though the color match is off. Always blend out.
Insurance companies that total cars like this are out for profit. My car was totaled after someone hit the door pulling into a parking spot. $6.5k estimated damage was BS. Now I drive a sh!t car while I'm paying off a new car I don't have. Great video.

You right 👍 that is in the big work shop but in small workshop. I think nothing .this is all replacement
The problem comes with another impact on this side.
@@RsOnTheStreetS It doesn't. The car was repaired per factory specifications. Why do stupid people like you always comment BS?

Why is it that I suddenly can't get enough of auto repair videos?
This was a nice job again! I like to see when all damaged layers are replaced and welded in the proper way! Also, airbags replaced! Well done!
Questo ragazzo è un ARTISTA.

you guys are awesome fixing everything top your service

I wouldn't trust the long-term integrity of the repair.

I love this guys , 👍, very good job.
Lavoro fatto a regola d arte e nei minimi dettagli bravi
Impecable.
Great job! Only a doubt: it's clear that white color of each lateral door is different (more cold) from car hood (more warm)
