Worked like a charm.
Another thing I found is turn off video preview and audio preview for your home screen. It surprisingly/not surprisingly effective.
you’re my last hope before i lose my mind. everytime i try to click on device preferences my tv freezes then kicks me out of settings. i don’t know what to do and i can’t find any videos on it. if anyone can help i’d greatly appreciate it

Something is going on with all the VODs. Kinda recently actually. IN DECEMBER I didn't have any problems then all of a sudden, VOD are freezing. Others are not. Heat is by the BEST and now its fu***d. Does anyone have any idea wtf is going on?. This system was $$$$$$$.
Yep Buzz tv was fine last year since January it slowly started to buffer, then channels dissappear now its completely messed up
Sir i did not try this method but i will try my ploblem is opening Netflix I mean when I open Netflix so the app open and then when it show shows so it frezzes

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I’m still having the same issue which is tv freezing. The only way I can unfreeze it is by unplugging it. I’ll unplug and then wait for 1-2 minutes. Is there anything else I can try so my tv won’t freeze on me? It freezes on me at any time whether I’m using an app or whether I’m on the homepage.
I always close out my app before opening a new app

I just installed today Amazon Prime and whenevwr I enter it laggs and crash to kick me out to main menu, when I even succeed to open movie it laggs as hell. Netflix works like a charm but this...Any solution?

I don't see any link link for streaming apps in description of yours but vpn, dns? I downloaded right from googleplay store

Have you updated the OS? Or cleared the cache?
I bought a TX9 utlra tv box , and it freezes completely evry niw and then i have to remove power cord and back in in order to start again, what is the main cause of this issue because its been a week since i bought it brand new with 128g storage and 8g ram, im guessing thats enough space for this to keep freezing like this.
It could be the version of the operating system or that you have to many apps running at the same time.

@@amygdala2001 you would need to update the os first, if the tv is too old you might need to replace it or clear the apps since there is not enough ram.
I used the frickin built in internet browser and now its mega slow. Like thirdy second responstime and wait between each move.

@@Only1Osunde it could be your wifi router. Have you changed your wifi channel? Maybe too much interfere from nearby routers.
None of the apps, especially Plex, aren't working on my Nvidia Shield or Onn box. They keep buffering and crashing, especially Plex. Please help me, because I'm also locked out of my Plex account too.

It is because you might not have enough processing power or cache.
Question: I bought the Shield Pro a year ago. Everything was great until about six months in. One day video playback via VKC/MXPlayer/Nova Player became choppy or jerky - kinda like it's struggling with frame rate. It occurs with .mkv and .MP4, also regardless of the video but rate. I use both a 7200rpm USB 3 hard drive or a USB 3 thumb drive. It doesn't matter - still jerky. My OS is up to date and I've reinstalled the apps and even reset the entire Shield and started over. I still have the same issue. This issue does not occur with Netflix or Amazon streaming, however. I've also optimized the CPU/GPU settings along with maximum fan cooling. Anybody have any suggestions or fixes or has my system become a dud? A dud out of warranty, I might ad. Thanks!
It could be the player. Did you update it recently? Have you switched HDMI ports to verify it's not hardware just in case?
My coocaa after like 4 month it got laggy like fps lag not the connection lag, i can't watch anything in 30fps only 15 fps somehow help

Your video encoder should be AVC not VP9 so that there will be no lag
