Narcissism that’s the problem, along with de-masculinity. You get neurotic non-coping adults.

    • @I_am_not_a_rob0t
      @I_am_not_a_rob0t 5 месяцев назад

De-masculinity is a huge problem. I cringe whenever I see a feminized 25+ year old man who can't work on their car, maintain their homes, or even manage their emotions. They won't survive when things really get difficult, not to mention the woman and children in their lives that may require their help. Men have responsibilities, and too many can't live up to them anymore.

I honestly dont hate being 32 nor getting older, I dont get the issue about growing older. The only thing I hate about growing older is I'm losing my hair. But other than that, Its not awful. I also say this as someone who had a traumatic teenage experience and ultimately feel like I missed out on those years.
The best perk of being 32, I finally have a decent amount of disposable income.

Maybe for some people for sure, but I think the missing milestones is a big part of it for most people. Lots of people have anxiety about not having done certain things the older they get and more anxiety about not knowing how to "arrive" becaise nobody's really helped them or taught them how. Millenials on down ships adrift at sea with no lighthouse pointing them to sbore.

There's this stupid mythology that Boomers and Xers bought their McMansions at the age of 21 and never had to go through economic or personal struggle at all, when the reality is that most had to grind to get to a place where they could actually be secure.

Yeah I blame the boomers, you were all given the world on a platter by the generation before you who fought two deadly wars across borders and instead of growing the world you were given you fattened it up then squeezed it dry like a lemon before yanking the ladder up behind you.
The fact I have to give all my zoomer friends this advice is disgusting: You cannot move up in a company nowadays, so stay with them for a year, if they show loyalty and you like being there then stay but otherwise on the 10-11 month mark start looking for a new job, easier to hop jobs once you're in one and you can upgrade your salary while cheating the boomer ceos out of their yacht money.

I think you nailed it earlier. They thinks they're aging faster because they have a constant time line of photos to look back on and reference.

This is true, at the time I was 27 and was delivering pizzas while waiting for my paperwork to go through for Halliburton for a CDL position, I was told it could take over a month.
I get a huge delivery to a middle school that I actually attended 7-8th grade, it was after school hours and I was let in by some cheerleaders and saw my old coach too, he's the one I made the delivery too surprisingly he looked way younger than he should have looked since he was my coach like 15 years ago lol.
But the teens at the middle school looked like we did senior year!!!
And if you look at Gen X they graduated high school looking like they were in their 30s pushing 40.
At church I got mistaken for being a 16 year old and I get asked about the youth group (high school) sometimes and im almost 30.

I just turned 60 over a month ago. I saw many changes over the last 5 decades. Lately, I see see so much more blackness and lack of colour, popular fashions look minimalistic and grubby like the Dirty 1930 and 40's So similar to many dystopian sci fi fantasy stories I read in Heavy Metal comic/magazine as a teenager.

I’m 40 so technically a millennial… I still feel young, and with how the overall trend socially seems (on social media at least) it feels like this is the first time when I find myself thinking “omg, these young people are acting like old people and offended about everything… that is supposed to be the gen x’rs job 😂”
About looks though, I’ve always heard “but your a baby” when talking to someone 10-20yrs older. It’s been like that forever. If you want to feel young, just talk to someone older. Also it helps to partake in some dirty jokes in the living room (not with a camera on you), and just blow off some steam with a friend. Laughing at dumb stuff and realizing the absurdity of it all helps your mental state. You can laugh… or you can cry… laughing is better

Spending lots of your time online makes time zoom by. Combine that with the pressures of succeeding in study and life when the economic conditions to do so are much harder, and you have a bunch of people who feel they didn’t have a complete childhood.

It's poor diet, end of story. Boomers I guess didn't start replacing home cooked healthy meals until they themselves were having families so gen x onward has basically been raised on fast food. As a millennial I learned to cook around the age of 18.

I'm 25 and people who meet me for the first time usually guess I'm no older than 15 or 16. A cashier once asked me if I was in middle school or possibly a freshman in hs. A security officer at the airport felt the need to ask to verify if I was over 12.... Yes I'm serious. But that's the youngest anyone has ever guessed me to be (thank god). A few months ago I was at a restaurant with my family, and when I ordered an alcoholic drink, the waitress gave me a questioning look and said "Do you have your ID?" WITH ATTITUDE 😂😂😂 I didn't get offended or anything. I just said yes and gave her my ID. She handed my ID back and in a defeated tone replied "You look very young." These are just a few of the many instances of people assuming me to be a lot younger than I am. I would attribute my good fortune to genetics and the fact that I don't ever wear (and have never worn) makeup.

I'm the oldest of gen Z, 1997 and feel insecure about looking too young. I feel other men my age look older than me and it makes me insecure. I feel looking younger comes off as dumb, and unserious, and less respectable. And I prefer a shaved face, but don't want to look like a 16yr old lesbian. How can I have an older looking face? Should I persue a career in smoking? Alcoholism perhaps? Crack?
    Need advice.

I am 53 years old I remember back in the 1980's seeing the previous graduating classes pictures up on the wall. I noticed that kids from the 1950's looked like older adults while kids from 1960's to 1970's were starting to look younger to the point that the 1980's graduating classes looked like children in comparison. Generations from the 1950's to the 1980's had the fear of nuclear war looming over our heads. Gen X had a lot doom and gloom related stress I seriously thought back 1988 when I graduated high school that I was not going to live to the year 2000 due to nuclear Armageddon.

I’ve constantly talked about how it’s unnatural that radio stations proclaim their songs are this or that when 90% of the time all they’ve been playing the same songs for the past 10 years. The other 10% are sometimes catchy but never really hit as well, which I attribute to my own taste. Glass Animals has a catchy tone but it’s recent hit is utterly forgettable
