Nolan has taken the guess work and the trial and error out of convincing people to carry on watching my videos. I will rewatch this and make notes, then attempt to apply it to a video idea I already had this weekend. Thanks I’ll keep you posted
Every time i see a new sub (currently at 120) it reminds me the people on the other side of my channel are impacted in some special way, it makes it worth it, changing lives one at a time!
Great advice. Along with thumbnails and titles, the hook is an absolutely essential skill to master. I always use questions in my hooks to get the viewer thinking and hopefully wanting get the answer. Adding in some B-roll is also crucial. Overall, getting that first 30 seconds of viewer engagement right is the key to success.

I really wish that I felt like I could apply more of your advice to my content. It seems like your channel's sole focus is delivering value for educational or edu-tainment type creators. For someone more or less making short films and trying to adapt the storytelling style to RUclips, I can only take granules and try to apply them where I can. I like the nuts and bolts approach, I just wish I could learn more that was applicable.
can you (or the character) maybe ask a question at the beginning of your short film on what the short film is going to be about? and then dive into the film?
Guilty! Hey what’s up this is Scottie, thanks for stopping by my RUclips channel 😂 Humbled, but still going. Appreciate all of the info provided by Think Media 🙌🏽
This person is the best hire vidiq ever made for their content gurus. He’s very precise, his narration skills are on point with perfect pauses of a British politician. And his script is very helpful no nonsense
Finally... You know that finding a script is almost impossible.. I've looked for a script for ages. Cheers brother! Please make more scripts. I think a lot of us want to just use scripts and focus on our content more instead. Especially those of us who just want to find a way to teach our passions to people without having to learn everything about being a youtuber.
My takeaway is that the first 30 seconds of the video is really important to hook the viewers, because there's a lot of options out there. And creating a content draft before hand, whether it's a bullet point or word by word (he like to use this method for hook).
I'd LOVE it if you could create one of these videos for a product review, please. I think it's quite difficult at times to try and take this content for general videos and apply it to something like a product review! Cheers!
Good thumbnail and video. I have noticed that every channel I subscribe to and those I don't have more subscribers than views and that includes Think Media and Think Media Podcast so every channel struggles to get their subscribers to view their videos.
These channels are a lot bigger, and I'm sure they have the analytics team all over it each week. And thats precisely why I don’t do the follow for follow. However, I need to start looking for the answer to what is a healthy viewership??
I still struggle: I love bullet points but the thing I have catch phrases that come to my mind when scripting so I feel the need to write them done to not miss the point. But it constrains me at the time of filming like I need to lead to that catch phrase so I’m caught up btw freestyling and scripting all to make sure I hit the point. What do you recommend? Should I let go of catch phrases and freestyle completely or script all? Cause Being in btw is very uncomfortable!
Thank you so much for making things so plain and simple for us that don't know Tiki language. I would like to also learn how you put the next video up at the end for the transition. I don't know how to do that.
I’m confused: I just got your video recommended. I can see about 21.200 in 13 days and 2,77 million subs. This is 0.76% if all were subs (who are not). The return rate is on par with good direct-mail items. However, your video was inspiring.
Currently sitting on 8 subs🎉...This is a Message to ALL "small" RUclipsrs the journey is slow and long BUT NEVER GIVE UP WE CAN DO IT and WE WILL DO IT💪
My biggest question is how long should that transition end screen be and how long to you talk vs give the user time to click on the video? Some people cut it really short and you don't have time to click the video they suggest. Or your still listening to them pitch the video and as soon as it's done with the pitch, the video cuts and is gone.
good scripting skills i definitely what I lack... thanks I am going to give this a shot for the current long form im making... in the middle of editing it but scrapping because it feels flat to me lol
Tip #1 "Stay on Stopic". Me with ADHD giving up immediately because there was this one time I was running late to College, then saw a dog running, so I pet him for an hour just to realize i forgot what I was doing and that I was off topic, and here we are again...
Did you know that in the 1966 World Cup final between England and Germany, there was a highly controversial 'ghost goal'? Have you heard about the disputed incident where Geoff Hurst's shot hit the crossbar and bounced down, with England ultimately awarded the goal despite unclear evidence? This decision played a pivotal role in England's 4-2 victory, sparking debates and discussions about the legitimacy of that crucial goal and its impact on the outcome of this historic match." You’re welcome
Most people watch a video before they get to your video. Then if you start out the video with "please subscribe and like and hit that bell" They are having to watch another commercial. That's where you lose a lot of casual people to view
Always great info. But what about comparing lava and acid? That hook was not at all relatable unless you're channel niche is simply "viral". How would the average RUclips creator apply that to videos that weren't designed for a viral audience? If you're teaching niching as a part of your strategy, then I'm looking forward to your answer. Sorry to seem like a contrarian, but I know you'll have a good answer.
Omg it is hard to start I was going to get up with my channel with my first video. Here I am watching videos to see some ideas. But get 1000 subscriber idk If that will happen one day?.. I am doing video in Spanish so. But I will keep trying now ..
I was looking forward to watch your next video on transition but either you linked the wrong video to your end card or the video you linked was not what I was expecting to watch, the one linked is definitely not one about transition.... You lost me there 😢

Making a list, makes the viewer know what’s coming up. I love how his videos are so spot on! I combine these with the VRA

This has to be one of my favorite Think Media videos of the year.. scripting has been the hardest part of my content creation process as of recently.
Hire a writer (like me)!
This is actually amazing.
I started to scrip and be mindful of what I say. Boom, couple videos got 1k -2k views in 1 week.
Your transition here was surreal.
“Getting people to do this is actually really hard!……which is why I made a video explaining how!”
Nice 🤜🤛

I love the transition at the end with the talking head half screen and half screen end cards so much smoother than what I've been doing.
Ok I knew you were gonna transition in that last segment yet I’m still impressed how seamlessly It flowed
HOLY COW THESE ARE THE EXACT THINGS I'M WORKING ON RIGHT NOW, THANKS 1111!
Keep pushing guys. We got this. One step at a time, with much patience and determination. We'll get there.

Could you do more content around Vlogging etc for beginner?

This video's transition is absolutely GOLDEN! ✨
Guys who haven't watched it yet will understand by the end.
Love you Guys ❤
I like how you explain the psychology of how good videos get more views with the good elements of this video. 👏
Thanks for sharing your scripting insights! I'm a huge believer in scripting to be mindful of people's time and stick to the essential details!
Appreciate all the tips and info 🙏
Putting it to work

Sorry just one more thing, thanks, there is a ton of value in this video!

Loving the thumbnail 👍
Thanks for the help
Thanks for the tips. I need to work on all three of these.
I need to see a light/camera setup breakdown on this video, the lightning is gorgeous
Thank you for this clear, well made video lesson. I watched some other peoples videos that were time wasters.
Thanks a lot, Nolan. This will make it much easier to organise and scrpt my future videos.
Appreciation & Love
Good end transition demonstration
Very useful video! Thank you Nolan 🙂

You're really great! Especially on the transition, you just did the very thing! Smart
Amazing video! Love the breakdown and will be using it on my channel. Do you mind sharing a link to your microphone?
Brilliant! And right there, all your advice worked with me on YOUR video. I am about to click on your mentioned video.
I'd LOVE it if you could create one of these videos for a product review, please. I think it's quite difficult at times to try and take this content for general videos and apply it to something like a product review! Cheers!
I'd study MKBHD's videos. He usually presents a question in the hook, that he addresses throughout the video!
Beautiful transition at the end really
Great advice about show, not tell. I need to do that more!
I'll rate this video a thumbs-up plus a comment, just for the sleek transition about transitions. 🤣
Good thumbnail and video. I have noticed that every channel I subscribe to and those I don't have more subscribers than views and that includes Think Media and Think Media Podcast so every channel struggles to get their subscribers to view their videos.
Most people subscribe for no reason, they’re never back to view new episodes.
These channels are a lot bigger, and I'm sure they have the analytics team all over it each week. And thats precisely why I don’t do the follow for follow. However, I need to start looking for the answer to what is a healthy viewership??
@@Chad-Tyrone-Pookeyso true. I wish you could kick them off the channel if they aren’t engaging.
Hopefully, by using these tips, I'll be able to rework my channel into a great resource for viewers!

You perfectly explained the transition method by literally transitioning into the next video haha
Nice work man
great vid, thanks!
Awesome Video on point to the point. well done Nolan
Thank you Noran.

Amazing content. Thanks for sharing this with us
This is tricky on what todo. I need to keep working this skill so that I can script my videos properly
Hi there! Wondering what’s the app you use to see yourself while you’re recording
Thanks for teaching us new yutubers
The ending was hilarious 😂
Thank you so much this is useful to me
informative content.
This is helpful. Thank you

I appreciate the learning. Although, I was waiting for the screen that said "HOOK PART 2”, because there was a “PART 1” headline.

Ahhh he got me with the transition transition!!! 😂😂😂😂
thank you very much

I’m going to give this a try. I need to create more hooks. Expose a little bit. But explain why there is more to come. Thanks for the info.
Glad it was helpful!

Amazing 👍
Love it
Hey think media 😃👋
How do you read the exact script? Do you position the camera infront of your screen somehow?
I've always wondered that too. Because otherwise people can tell you're looking at something else and not the camera
