Also I can't select squares inside the 10x10 area... related? Any thoughts anyone? Yes it's my first day...

Used Houdini 18.0 for this tutorial, but Houdini has an apprentice version (free) which is a great way to learn the software and figure out if it is something you want to invest in!

I followed the steps exactly but my particles don't move after it hits the grid, I double-checked the steps went along and those settings are exactly the same as shown in the tut, what could be the issue?
Just solved it, Change the Amplitude and Swirl size made the difference, they need to be bigger than the numbers in the tut, which might be because the moving speed of my character was different from the one used in the tutorial.
